Politican vs. Citizen. The War Upon Your Wallet.

We hear of wars or rumors of wars daily. Israel. Palestine. North Korea. Taiwan. Russia. We imagine wars to always be shooting wars. However, I submit unto you there is an equivalent and much more insidious war fought daily between the Democrat-driven political class and the working and taxpaying citizen of states such as Connecticut. This war demands ever-higher taxes while delivering less and less in return, all to feed the bloated political machine. 

Year after year, the political class finds new and ingenious ways to raise the burden on the hardworking citizen, siphoning funds to fuel insider deals, elitist projects, and state-run propaganda. Meanwhile, our roads crumble, schools fail, and crime runs the gamut from uncontrolled street crime to high-level sophisticated fraud, while things deteriorate at an accelerated rate. Regardless, the political class continues to pontificate and ask for more money.

On the subject, you may have noticed that another Tax Day has come and gone. You may have even written a check or two or more to pay taxes. More than likely, you resented writing the checks, but regardless of how you feel, the operative question then becomes, how much should we pay in taxes? Depending on what side of the aisle you are you are paying either too much or too little.

A prime example is Connecticut. Senior State Democrat Senators Bob Duff and Martin Looney have “solved” their self-created Connecticut revenue shortfall  by proposing to surtax the wealthiest Connecticut residents for whatever savings they may receive via a future Federal tax reduction to Connecticut. But why is that new? Wealthy Democrats have always loved raising taxes on the "wealthy". The  benchmark of the "wealthy" changes over time and is usually based on some sort of political talking point rather than any type of economic reality.  They do not hide this as witnessed by the off-mike statement by Democrat State Representative Anne Hughes, "we're not rich, we're not rich... but I always say to my Governor tax my people, they will not even notice"(https://x.com/RepJoeCanino/status/1912167747716342271). Or if you would like some sprinkles for your ice cream cone, consider these comments by Connecticut Democrat State Senator Martha (“Scissorhands”) Marx. At a recent constituents meeting, Marx disdainfully referred to “our rich Governor Lamont living in Greenwich surrounded by wealthy friends and neighbors". Marx stated that she did not care about rich people in the western end of the state who resist paying more taxes. Some of them, she claimed, could pay $20 million more and not miss it, whether as a group or individually, she did not say. And if Democrats pushed the taxes too high and the rich left, Marx would not care. Other people would buy the big houses. 

As we see, both economically illiterate state senators have made one thing abundantly clear. Your taxes are for their taking. And shame upon you for feeling otherwise.

Connecticut has a massive amount of taxes and a wretched and needlessly bollixed tax system. And contrary to what the Marx's and Hughes’ of the world are saying, people are noticing more and more the excessive nature and strain these taxes create.  These taxes are progressive. These taxes insult the citizen and are painful. These taxes take productive money out of the economy and are redistributed to Democrat Party causes and political nepotism. These taxes fund a bloated state budget that just never is cut back. Yet Connecticut Taxpayers must find ways to save money in their personal budgets to help pay for these never-ending higher state taxes. Connecticut government makes no effort to cut taxes because such cuts would dilute its self-aggrandizing operation.

But in this war on the citizen and small businesses, there is a much greater front. The United States Congress (inclusive of many timid and weak-willed Republicans) provides little drive and effort to the most critical issues facing the nation today. On a national level, our federal government still has a $36 trillion-dollar National Debt. President Trump, contrary to the Connecticut Democrat Party and other assorted political cowards, is seeking ways to lower the debt and to cut taxes, especially by asking for a renewal of the Tax Cuts of 2017. Contrary to what liberal economists think,these tax cuts have helped to stimulate the economy and help the working middle class. In my opinion and the opinion of others, the Federal budget and these tax cuts should have been enacted upon by now, so more precise economic planning can take place for the economy. However, the present Congress (including many Republicans) would rather dilly dally with things such as “voting by zoom” and "childcare rights" rather than consider the burden on all citizens should taxes default to 2016 levels with an attendant by-definition tax hike of 10-15% per taxpayer. How often do you hear this brutal fact? And why does the Connecticut Republican Party not write letters of support for President Trump for these needed changes and a push for 100% expensing of business assets in addition to no taxes on overtime or tips? The lack of understanding and aggressiveness here by local and national Republicans on a grand scale, is mind-boggling and an insult to the hardworking honest citizen.

Perhaps, what these benign and somewhat blind lawmakers do not see is the enemy for what it really is. Without permanent Federal tax cuts, we will see the typical hodgepodge of multi-millionaire Socialist Democrats such as Bernie Sanders demanding justice and wanting to "tax" the rich since they “do not pay their fair share.”   "Do they know how much the U.S. already soaks the affluent? IRS data for 2022 show that the top 1% of filers paid 40.4% of income-tax revenue. The top 10% shouldered 72% of the revenue burden. The bottom half of filers, combined, paid 3%, and that is an overstatement because it does not account for “refundable” credits, which are treated as spending." I wonder why Senator Sanders maintains his "wealth" and why it is wrong for others to want to also? I wonder if this is the reason why Billionaire Connecticut King Governor Ned Lamont the Unaccountable dresses in public like a forlorn bum in order to not focus on his bulbous family wealth and his related offshore secret holdings?  Also, I wonder if this is why we never hear the state-run media talk about the family riches of Vietnam Combat Veteran Communist Senator Richard Blumenthal as it detracts from the “mission.” And the “mission” is to keep feeding the coffers of these self-interested political props so that they can come back next election cycle and take more of your substance from you to further embed themselves into your wallet each year.

As we have stated numerous times, Connecticut has one of the highest tax rates in the country and is last or near last in most economic categories. Connecticut, is a perpetual loser. Connecticut really has never recovered from the 1990 recession and 35 years later not much has changed. The continuation of unchecked spending with the desire to eliminate all checks and balances by trying desperately to end fiscal guardrails and deficit reduction only further add to the economic demise of the economy. As just one example, just look at how much new money the state wants to spend for "childcare". "H.B. 5003 would expand eligibility for the Care 4 Kids childcare subsidy program, provide salary increases and health care plans for early childhood workers, authorize bonding for facility improvements, and establish a range of new administrative requirements and reporting systems. According to the legislature’s Office of Fiscal Analysis (OFA) report, the bill would cost the state at least $600 million over fiscal years 2026 and 2027. That includes $150 million each year to expand Care 4 Kids eligibility — from the current 60 percent of the state median income to 85 percent — and to phase in benefits for families earning up to 100 percent of the median." Taxes, more taxes and even more taxes. More of the same each "Tax Day-April 15th". More inefficiencies and more pork barrel spending. Less and less disposable income for Taxpayers at all levels of government. $36 Trillion Dollar National Debt. Connecticut with $100 to $150 Billion Dollars in short- and long-term debt along with unfunded liabilities. It is a brand-new day, but we hear that same cries of more and higher taxes will solve every known problem on the face of the earth. But it never does.

On the April 15, 2025 “Lee Elci Show” (https://www.949newsnow.com/) my friend and colleague Tony De Angelo called for the formation of a volunteer “Connecticut Citizen DOGE with five-to-ten individuals having two months without restriction to drill at all state business in order to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in Connecticut. Tony is a realist and knows that not one elected official in either party would dare support a transparent effort that would lead to multi-million-dollar savings for taxpayers. The reason there would be no backing for such an endeavor is that it would lead to undoing of many of the politically constructed food chains that the politicians themselves have worked so hard to construct. The preceding statement alone tells you exactly what is wrong with this picture.

But once again, it is Connecticut. Where the motto should change from “The Constitution State” to “Citizen, Be Damned.”

The Real Tariff Burden Has Been Our Government

 On April 2, 2025, President Donald Trump introduced sweeping "Liberation Day" tariffs, imposing a baseline 10% tariff on all imports, with higher rates—up to 54% for countries like China—targeting major trade partners. This move was part of a broader strategy to address what Mr. Trump deemed a national emergency due to a $1.2 trillion trade deficit in 2024. President Trump in viewing the deficit as a major economic and security problem has correctly decided under this Act to invoke his tariff plan. His plan is to try to bring back manufacturing and other types of factors of production to be made in the United States. This plan would in theory create more jobs, more economic stimulation, and more tax revenues for our economy. Additionally, the tariffs are intended as negotiation leverage to open export markets, reflecting Trump's strategy from his first administration.

The issue as President Trump sees it, is the fiscal weakness of America and the sickening dependency on hostile foreign nations that for years have extorted the USA on a whim. The issue and the fiscal wreckage over time has been exacerbated by Democrat and Republican-Globalist debt- driven spending policies that have made the chasm even bigger. Faced with the collapse of the financial system, President Trump stated that the USA needed a painful “operation” to right the ship after years of wreckage, stating that the cure would take some time.

However, what really changes locally as critics and the economic idiocy of the left, abounds. On April 2, Connecticut’s brave Governor, King Ned Lamont the Unaccountable, international economist extraordinaire and the man who with his sycophant legislature has driven Connecticut into the economic gutter, started a new career as a trade war strategist. Declaring "Tariff Day is Tax Day" from a script handed to him, started crying the blues in quadraphonic stereo. But as is always said, consider the source. The Unaccountable, having no economic abilities of his own and heavily tied to his wife’s Annie’s investors and his addiction to the narcotic of free government money, saw his feeble kingdom eroding. So what could you really expect from the "businessman" governor?

Unfortunately, the way things have proceeded is brutal. The United States Trade deficit in 2024 was over $918 billion dollars. A trade deficit occurs when a country's imports exceed its exports. This creates a negative balance of trade for a country. In our economy, we have been running a constant trade deficit since 1976. A tariff is a tax imposed by a government on foreign made goods. Tariffs can be used to protect industries from foreign competition and/or as a source of tax revenue.

Therefore, the official pronouncement came as follows: "President Trump is invoking his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (“IEEPA”) to address the national emergency posed by the large and persistent trade deficit that is driven by the absence of reciprocity in our trade relationships and other harmful policies like currency manipulation and exorbitant value-added taxes (VAT) perpetuated by other countries." For those who remember this Act was enacted by Congress to modify the “Trading with the Enemy Act” that was passed during WWI in 1917. As further stated, this act "grants the President extensive power to regulate a variety of economic transactions during a state of national emergency. Congress enacted IEEPA in 1977 to limit the emergency economic powers that it had delegated to the President under the Trading with the Enemy Act (TWEA)"(https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/R45618).

 So, let’s look at the mess that politicians of all stripes have left us in. The biggest trade deficit we have currently is with China. For 2024 the trade deficit was over $295 billion dollars (https://ustr.gov/countries-regions/china-mongolia-taiwan/peoples-republic-china). China is led by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party. China is not a free country economically, politically, or socially and is the “Gold Standard for governance” for rotting Blue States like Connecticut in the U.S. China is a totalitarian regime ruthless in the elimination of freedom and human rights. Economic mobility is only allowed for Communist Party leaders and their connected individuals. Their economy uses massive governmental subsidies to prop up businesses and industries. For example, China dumped on the United States years ago low-cost ball bearings which created massive issues in the economy. China provides our country many inexpensive, poor-quality items that consumers purchase since they are so cheap. Why do we support an oppressive regime such as China economically by the purchasing of their goods? Those workers producing these goods are not advancing economically nor with advancements of their personal freedoms. Isn't China a military enemy of the United States and of other free countries? It is not logical as to why we are supporting this Communist Party regime to the tune of almost $300 billion dollars a year? And China's tariffs on United States goods have increased over the years. Now, President Trump has forced China's hand as far as the increased tariffs he placed on China imports to our country.

Not much has changed in other places. Vietnam is another country we trade with and is a Communist state ruled by a single party, the Communist Party of Vietnam (“CPV”) led by General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and President Truong Tan Sang, are all dictators in their own right. Vietnam is also not free and commits massive human rights violations. The United States fought a war against Vietnam until 1975 and lost. The United States imports from Vietnam for 2024 were over $142 billion dollars while our exports to Vietnam were just $13 billion dollars. Why are we supporting an oppressive regime such as Vietnam, who we also fought a long war against by the purchasing of their goods? Those workers producing these goods are not advancing economically nor with advancements of their personal freedoms. And why are we are helping a Communist repressive regime at the same time?

The stock market reactions to the Trump tariff plan, has been expected from an economics viewpoint. Many economists look at global trade as a win-win for both countries who are exchanged with the trade. It could certainly be a win-win if tariffs are not used. In some situations, one country "dumps" a product at an extremely low cost onto another country that creates harm to that country by undercutting those domestic companies’ ability to produce the product at a profit to remain in business.  China did this to the United States with ball bearings and several other products. But how have we have benefited from the past 50 years of trade deficits in our country? After all isn't the United States National Debt over $36 trillion dollars? How do we benefit as a freedom loving country in supporting economically ruthless Communist regimes such as China and Vietnam through supposed "free trade"? But money will be made on the great Tariff sell off 2025 especially by large financial/hedge/short funds. The retiree who depends on his or her 401K/IRA/457K for retirement income has again been shaken but markets are indeed always cyclical. But while The Unaccountable and his ilk are decrying the “death” to the economy, they are busy picking up “good stuff, cheap” and will sit to the sidelines to become even richer. Because that is the real motivation as to why The Unaccountable remains in office.

President Trump also might offer the following trade agreement to both Canada and Mexico: Drop your tariffs on all the products we ship to you and we will drop all our tariffs on your products. This would create an economic boom in North America and strengthen relationships with both countries. He also might offer a similar agreement with China and Vietnam on the basis that the Communist Party end their rule and allow freedom to their country. These proposals would show perspective, vision, and boldness. Such thinking and qualities are completely bereft upon Ned Lamont and his cadre of Democrat governors and fellow elected officials.

In closing, given the sad facts of what was left to him, President Trump was correct in addressing the economic problems we have with massive trade deficits. He was correct in investigating the massive amount of fraud and wasteful governmental spending that has been going on years in our Federal Government, which is supported by United States Taxpayers, being these same United States Taxpayers supporting the trade deficit directly and indirectly. Also Democrat Party solutions to the Trade Deficit and the National Debt from the Ned Lamonts of the world will continue to drive the USA in the economic gutter if these solutions are given a chance to bear fruit. God Help us all, should that be the case.

Economic Freedom, Economic Sovereignty and self-sufficiency should be priorities in our country. Sadly, they have been bypassed for many years now by Democrats and globalist Republicans. It was bypassed by many Presidents since President Carter. The buck stopped in 2025. America cannot keep this reckless spectacle of incessant spending and debt. We elect individuals to represent us not appointed unelected judges to make economic decisions for our country. It is time for leadership as far as Trade Deficits and the National Debt is concerned. It is time for action and results do not lie. We do not need any more rhetoric.

And, the day of economic reality has dawned. America needs to get in priorities in order quickly, the economic charade of poor policies has indeed ended.

Constitutional Crisis? The Democrat Party IS The Constitutional Crisis

It is an amazement to listen to the new Democrat Party experts on the United States Constitution as to what constitutes a "Constitutional Crisis". Of course, this is the same incompetent and sordid cast of characters that locked us down in 2020 “following the science” of Covid-19 while at least three Constitutional rights of Americans were violated. But you are supposed to forget about those abuses and losses of lives and livelihoods as The Democrats are the party that is always out to protect you and shield you from all manners of harm and disinformation, as its leaders such as Connecticut's King Governor Ned Lamont the Unaccountable find ways to profit from citizen pain and misfortune.

Lest you think I digress, I find that as I listen to the daily noise echoed by these same Democrat Party elites one would think that America has fallen off the face of the earth and or was taken over by foreign enemies or fascists. And it is shocking as to how little Democrat elected officials understand our sacred document known as the United States Constitution. Read the Preamble: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

This grand-scale mental and emotional meltdown is due to the beginnings of the dismantling of a bureaucracy via the new Department of Government Efficiency known as DOGE. I personally do not see any references to DOGE in the Constitution. Looking at some of DOGE's findings which I discussed in my blog last week, the storm continues in intensity. Listening to Connecticut's Socialist/Democrat/Unhinged Lunatic United States Senator Chris Murphy raging against DOGE was comical. He stated: "that President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) leader Elon Musk's actions constitute "illegal seizures of power," sparking a "constitutional crisis.". He further stated: "Democrats should not support "a single nominee" appointed by Trump and "should not grant expedited process to any nominees until this crisis passes."     As for USAID, the senator said Trump "has gone as far to essentially shutter the entire agency, laying off 60% of the people in many bureaus, telling employees yesterday that none of them should show up for work." "That is unconstitutional" the senator said, speculating that Trump "may be making a guess" that the U.S. Supreme Court will give him the power to shutter agencies. So much for this Democrat Secretary of State wannabe working with his peers for the betterment of our country.  A $36 Trillion-dollar National Debt can be damned according to Socialist/Democrat/Unhinged Lunatic United States Senator Murphy, as the man baby continually cries out to do it his way or visit the highway so you can be run over. Murphy might consider becoming an actor as he is suited for that rather than governing.

Why haven't all of the Country's problems been solved yet? But we have spent trillions so far with little result? Murphy and his Democrat Political Elite avoid this question. This past Tuesday, I was interviewed by my good friend Tony De Angelo who was the guest Host for Lee Elci on his show 94.9FM. To paraphrase part of what I stated on the show that it is simplistic yet complex for our government to understand. Let us just think about the trillions of dollars we have spent over 60 years reaching all of the way back to “The Great Society” of President Lyndon B. Johnson. But we still have wars, we still have homeless, we still have people starving, we still have crime, we still have a drug crisis, we still have human trafficking, we still have dead people collecting social security, we still have pathetic rotting cities, and we still have fraud/waste and theft going on in our government.  There are never any solutions offered by the Democrat Party on these issues except to throw more money at these same agencies, studies, reports, committees, and programs and get the same failed results, only with greater failure. We really should have none of these problems with the money American Taxpayers have spent over the years.

It is funny that America’s forerunners knew more about 2025 America than today’s politicians. Mark Twain was an American writer, humorist, and lecturer, widely regarded as one of the greatest literary figures in U.S. history. He blended sharp social commentary with humor and vivid storytelling. Twain was a master of satire, often critiquing human nature, politics, and institutions with a biting wit. At one point, Mr. Twain famously stated that “No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session” Unfortunately for the poor taxpaying citizen of Connecticut, this must be the most accurate description of the Connecticut State Legislature ever made. For rather than take heed of the will of citizens to tax less, increase government transparency and accountability, reduce utility costs, and strip out bureaucracy, the fervor of what has driven Connecticut to the gutter driven by the imperious and arrogant Democrat-driven representative body continues at a frantic pace. Be it an electricity cost that will increase with no critical action when solutions are easy and obvious, more reckless spending in education-just because, the veneration and protection of illegal aliens over citizens and veterans, increased spending on climate change, and uncontrolled grants to non-profits, money is never an object to the delusional and inept legislator. In these cases, the legitimate taxpaying citizen prays for federal funding to be discontinued to the state so that further damage will be starved out at the source.

Speaking of great men of history, there is a quote that has been attributed to President Abraham Lincoln that was paraphrased from the historical Lincoln Douglas Debates. This quote is appropriate for 2025 and what we are now seeing with the Democrat Party and their cries of a Constitutional Crisis, stating that “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” President Lincoln also stated: “It is the eternal struggle between these two principles — right and wrong — throughout the world. They are the two principles that have stood face to face from the beginning of time; and will ever continue to struggle. The one is the common right of humanity, and the other the divine right of kings. It is the same principle in whatever shape it develops itself. It is the same spirit that says, "You toil and work and earn bread, and I'll eat it." The American and Connecticut Taxpayer is tired of being fooled by an out-of-control government who shows no respect for them. They are tied of the whining of the political elitists who know so much more than they, but actually, know nothing.  The Democrat Party has created their own crisis of destruction, incompetence, and lies into a macabre and horrific art form. They own it. President Trump is leading our country. The Democrat Party is leading in their own slum of deceit, incompetency, and corruption.

Society will be much better off if the Democrat Party goes the way of the Whig Party. This would be a fitting tribute for sixty years of failure reaching back all the way to Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society.

They Hate You For Asking Them What They Did With Your Money.

 The Gold Standard of fiscal conduct in government has been based upon waste, fraud, larceny, and abuse for many years. Unfortunately, this type of conduct is nothing new. In Liberal states such as Connecticut, this conduct is much worse. Furthermore, no matter where you are, you will hear the din and cry of the administrative state in all places resisting any effort whatsoever to see where years and years of collected tax dollars have been spent. But who are you to ask these “dedicated public servants” any questions, especially with respect to their integrity? Why can't Taxpayers know where their hard-earned dollars are going in 2025? The cash-starved, debt-ridden, non-politically connected citizen has asked about what government has done with their money for years, only to be scoffed at and humiliated. These poor, beleaguered citizens voiced their displeasure with this conduct during the election of President Donald Trump in 2024. The election of Mr. Trump was a firecracker thrown at the administrative state, delivered with the classic admonition of “you will go no further.” 

In this connection, taxpayers are finally getting some answers from the Federal Department of Government Efficiency (better known and referred to as “DOGE”). Regardless of the cry of thousands every day on social media, I will point out that Connecticut has nothing even remotely resembling a DOGE office, nor is there any politician speaking out about the need for one. On the Federal level, DOGE has come up some amazing finds of waste, fraud, and inefficiencies. Conversely, Connecticut has no idea as to what and where taxpayers’ monies are spent and really seems not to care in the least way. Do you disagree? Just look at the new Connecticut budget being offered by the omnipotent one-party Democrats for this new fiscal year. Non-Transparency is a secret of Connecticut's stoic and closed-door government.

Conversely, The DOGE website posts their finds for the day (htttps://DOGE.gov/).

The DOGE findings should shock every legal Taxpayer our country for the waste, fraud, and inefficiencies that American Taxpayers have funded. How much of Connecticut Taxpayer's monies might go to waste each year? Does anyone care?

Here are just some of the places DOGE found embarrassingly stupid and/or corrupt spending (htttps://DOGE.gov/):

The Department of Education terminated 89 contracts worth $881mm. One contractor was paid $1.5mm to “observe mailing and clerical operations” at a mail center.” 

The Department of Agriculture terminated 18 contracts for a total of $9mm, including contracts for “Central American gender assessment consultant services”, “Brazil forest and gender consultant services”, and the “women in forest carbon initiative mentorship program.”  

As we proceed further down the trail, we find that the EPA will not be renewing our membership with “Politico” and “Politico E&E”, saving the American taxpayers $458,919 per year.

As we move even more down the trail, the U.S. Department of Education registered a $4.6mm contract to coordinate zoom and in-person meetings - $3.mm contract to write a report that showed that prior reports were not utilized by schools and a $1.4mm contract to physically observe mailing and clerical operations

$50 million dollars were also set aside for “condoms in Gaza.”

The list is endless as to the total and obscene waste of Taxpayers’ money. And these facts should make everyone mad, beyond mad, irate and scream out and demand accountability for where Taxpayers’ money is being spent on. And we need to hold both elected and non-elected politicians, political appointees, department heads, career government inefficient employees and everyone else involved in this mess accountable. By seeing the reactions from the Democrat Party outraged that anyone, (especially Elon Musk), would question their ability to corrupt a system such as they have done to help nurture an out-of-control $36 Trillion Dollar National Debt, is unthinkable.

In addition, look at the cries, moans, and complaints from Connecticut's Democrat Congressional Delegation. You think the world ended for them, which it did, since their charade of representing their own political self-interests was exposed and will blessedly be eliminated through the Trump Administration. Why are the Democrats defending this fraud and waste of American Taxpayers monies? Why have they been lying to their constituents for years now? Look at the horrific and unspeakable messes that follow them everywhere they go. Moreover, honestly think about what they are saying, and see the total incompetence and societal wreckage of their governing from top to bottom.

But again, I am compelled return to the pathetic state of Connecticut. Not only are there so many non-profits, “quasi-publics”, NGOs, NGOs such as ADVANCE CT, 4-CT and the UCONN Foundation that are involved in state government and/or questionable investments all without transparency, accountability, or any desire by any political figure to call for the same, Connecticut is the state where racketeering is an accepted means of governing. Just this past week, my friend and colleague Tony De Angelo reported on “X” that Connecticut Democrat Speaker of the House Matt Ritter’s law firm (Shipman & Goodwin) is heavily involved in counseling clients that are impacted by the recent Federal sweeps against illegal immigration. Meanwhile, Mr. Ritter, as a legislator of profound influence in Connecticut, stands to benefit financially by the Legislature’s contemplated and federally illegal expansion of the illegal alien protecting TRUST ACT. This is staggering. Connecticut Democrat Speaker of the House Matt Ritter can literally draft a law to facilitate his personal business interests, even though such conduct caused a New York Democrat Speaker of the House Sheldon Silver to go to jail in 2015 for such blatant racketeering. Such conduct should have been the lead story of every newspaper and television station in the state this past week. Such conduct should have had every Republican in the legislature screaming at the top of his or her lungs. But as is the usual course of business in Connecticut, the global silence is deafening. It is believed that a now wiser (and much more aggrieved) voter will not be tolerating rigged political transactions like this much longer, and this is more than about time.

As you can see, we deserve much better from our government. We have been treated as garbage by our government for too long and have been ripped off one too many times by the bureaucrat elites that dictate what we can and cannot have while they shamelessly take from us. President Trump is right in dismantling the unspoken Fourth Branch of American Government: Corruption. The Democrat Party, having nothing else in the toolbox, is fighting to hold on to the failed Federal Government mess from which they profit. 

The United States of America, and the State of Connecticut will be much better places if this Fourth Branch of American Government can be abolished once, and for all.

Pay Up, Shut Up, And I Feed Off Of Your Tax Money. The Connecticut Democrat Gold Standard Of Governance And Accountability

This past week, the world stage was treated to the inane and frenetic babblings of Chris Murphy as he railed on about all things evil concerning President Donald J. Trump. For the world, Chris is the junior Democrat U.S. Senator from Connecticut. However, for the right-thinking and taxpaying people of Connecticut Chris is a manic jerk, being a child of privilege who never had to hold gainful and profit-making employment in his entire life. This is because his father’s law firm (Shipman and Goodwin) has a hand representing about every anti-homeowner, anti-parent and anti-taxpayer body in the state. Its nice work if you can get it, however Chris failed at this work and found his way into the lowest common denominator of employment, which is the political system.

Murphy has the policy and conceptual understanding of a flea. As he rails about “Trump favoring Billionaires and screwing the little guy” he does not tell you that he voted AGAINST a 20% tax deduction for small business people in 2017. He will also call Elon Musk an “illegal agent against government” not acknowledging that government hires contractors all of the time. Murphy’s conceptual tax and policy knowledge is summed up perfectly by the analysis of my friend and colleague Tony De Angelo, who often says “that Murphy knows as much about tax and fiscal policy, as I might, about building the Neutron Bomb.”

But you must give credit where credit is due. The Connecticut Demo-commie universe (unlike the State GOP) has a bench. It cultivates acolytes. It develops other similar personalities to Murphy that are high on glibness and empty headedness, bereft on governance, and short on substance. It then buys media to hammer to an unsuspecting public how wonderful these people are, and what great public servants they can be.

And the leading horse in this race for bigger and better things is the current Connecticut State Comptroller, Sean Scanlon.

By way of information, Sean Scanlon is a career politician whose salary is paid for by Connecticut Taxpayers. Like others in the horse race, he will seek higher office in the future in a jump ball with the other career Democrat politicians. He will be mentioned as a future Governor, U.S. Representative and or US Senator. He is currently the State Comptroller, however whenever we read about his fiscal acumen it is either a disaster such as the handling of his own office, (https://ctnewsjunkie.com/2025/01/08/auditors-comptrollers-office-lacked-internal-controls-for-insurance-payouts/) or an impending disaster such as the “refinancing” of the state short-term debt which, (while cheered by equally ignorant Republicans) displayed the fiscal sense of delaying debt that anyone making the minimum payment on a credit card knows is a horrific disaster to come.  By way of education and training, Scanlon shows no bona-fides in economics/accounting and finance with a degree in Political Science from Boston University, and his work for Chris Murphy in a variety of positions while being a Connecticut State Representative for eight years and miraculously becoming the Executive Director of Tweed-New Haven Airport for a short and very unpopular stint.  How all of this becomes functional for a Comptroller position that pays $206,062 plus benefits is beyond me and many others considering Scanlon is managing a $26 Billion dollar state budget. His job mission is "To provide accounting and financial services, to administer employee and retiree benefits, to develop accounting policy and exercise accounting oversight, and to prepare financial reports for state, federal and municipal governments and the public." Thus, anyone in Connecticut, no matter their education or work experience can be a State Comptroller with Scanlon as an example, provided, they join the Democrat food chain and be manufactured according to the Chris Murphy Gold Standard of Failure.

Recently Scanlon in true Democrat Party form, condemned President Trump in his overhaul of the Federal government especially when it comes to aid. He stated on January 28, 2025; “President Trump’s reckless decision to abruptly freeze federal grants and loans will have immediate and disastrous consequences for Connecticut. As Comptroller, it’s my job to track what we get from Washington D.C. and how we spend it. In fiscal year 2024, more than $14.3 billion passed from the federal government through our state agencies directly to Connecticut residents, nonprofits, schools, and much, much more. While the exact list of impacted programs remains unclear, what is clear is this: any pause, however brief, of any federal funding will hurt people in Connecticut.” (https://osc.ct.gov/articles/comptroller-sean-scanlon-condemns-trump-administrations-reckless-suspension-of-federal-funding/). If I understand his quote correctly, this statement means that $14.3 billion dollars is either is a part of the state budget and/or is in addition to beggarly Connecticut's $22.1 billion dollar budget for 2024. Presuming Scanlon is fiscally coherent, I believe he should clarify his economically illogical and confusing remarks. Does he even have an idea as to where the money goes? He has apparently become an expert in accounting and finance. But a person with little to no experience in finance is bound to be confused in his stated remarks.

But one thing that the Democrat machine is quite good at is building personal financial dynasties at taxpayer expense. Scanlon is married to Meghan Scanlon, who has degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Connecticut and is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the “Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence” which has 18 (Eighteen-count 'em) member domestic violence organizations that provide services to victims. “Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence” is a "non-profit". The coalition serves around 40,000 individuals across the state. It receives federal and state aid along with donations. From the last public audit of 2023, Meghan Scanlon’s compensation was $126,676 plus other compensation. (https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/60985675). Further, there is a massive amount of money spent in Connecticut on domestic violence victims and issues. For 2024 according to opencheckbook.ct.gov,  the sum was $27.63 Million dollars in a wide array of grants. It seems alarming to me that this much money is being spent with apparently poor results since it seems that this type of violence is growing in the state.  Is there an issue in the state with actually enforcing the domestic violence laws currently on statute?  Are domestic violence criminals not being prosecuted? Obviously, I am not trying to make light of domestic violence however after throwing millions upon millions of dollars at it what is the net result? More domestic violence? Anyone with the least bit of reason knows that the continued high spending towards a situation that does not improve is a reinforcement of failure. Apparently, reason is a concept foreign to the Democrat-driven political system of Connecticut.

But the ostensible debacle above lends itself to questions of other failures taking place at Connecticut nonprofits. Cause IQ tells us the following: "There are 24,541 organizations in Connecticut. Combined, these Connecticut nonprofits employ 358,650 people, earn more than $57 billion in revenue each year, and have assets of $195 billion." (https://www.causeiq.com/directory/connecticut-state) In scanning the records,  I have always wondered why state-connected "non profit"Administrative salaries so high?   Why are salaries so high especially with many "non profits" having non-paid boards who help in these organizations? Why are the state-connected non-profit salaries so high when they hire highly paid accounting and legal firms with a strong connection to state government? When someone is appointed by a "non-profit" there seems to always be a glowing press release of the person and their qualifications that usually lead to the connection of a politician. But again, why are the salaries so high? And are the actual results of these "non profits" truly helping the people who need the help? Washington and Hartford spend billions of dollars in social welfare programs with ostensibly little to no result as many of those to whom fiduciary or oversight responsibility is granted are making out quite well. Why is this the case?

The Debtor Is The Slave To The Creditor, and The Creditor Is The Master Of The Debtor

 Debt is defined as the state of owing money. Debt for many has become a lifestyle. Although there are times in human life where incurring debt may be necessary, vast amounts of personal debt are incurred as the result of bad choices or purchases based on desire and not critical need. The Holy Scriptures tell us that debtors are slaves to their creditors and the creditor becomes the master of the debtor. And this is a terrible situation to be in.

If you do not believe that, just ask any debtor.

The American citizen understands there are several types of debt in our economy. We have consumer debt which can be broken down into various categories such mortgage debt, auto loan debt, credit card debt, higher education loan debt and personal loan and credit line debt. The figures for these types of debts astonish many. Total American Household debt is $17.943 trillion dollars.

Total American Credit Card debt is $1.166 trillion dollars.

Total American Mortgage debt is $12.594 trillion dollars.

Total American Auto Loan debt is $1.644 trillion dollars.

Total American Student Loan debt is $1.606 trillion dollars.

Household debt based as a percentage of disposable income as a debt payment-to-income ratio, from the second quarter of 2024, is 11.5%. Or in other words 11.5 cents of each dollar of disposable income goes to service debt. The other 88.5 cents of each dollar you clear is what you would have to pay all your other expenses.

One may think that a government, with all its collective wisdom, would be able to fund its operations without debt. Unfortunately, the opposite is true. Government at all levels, be it local, state, or national, is massively in debt. The Federal National Debt is $36.2 trillion dollars and rising. For 2024, the Federal Government will spend a mere $892 billion dollars to finance its National Debt. State governments such as Connecticut have $150 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt and unfunded liabilities that are never tackled or confronted by the superficial, feel-good “bi-partisan” political Uniparty, and this happens elsewhere, as well. If one were to add the total state debt of all fifty states, you are looking at $1.7 to $2 trillion dollars in debt depending on published figures and unfunded liabilities. Municipal Debt, which is funded by municipal bonds, is roughly $4 trillion dollars. (https://www.usdebtclock.org/)

If one were to add up Total American Household and Government Debt it is approximately $58 trillion dollars in total. Is there any plan to pay off the Government debt at all levels, local, state, and national? Not to my knowledge. In fact, the opposite is true. U.S. Senator Ron Paul released his annual “Festivus” report describing the horrific if not obscene wastes in left-inspired government spending.   The iconic Chrysler Building in midtown Manhattan New York, one of the most historically desirable business locations in days gone by, is facing foreclosure in a rotting and violent New York City (https://www.curbed.com/article/aby-rosens-chrysler-building-saga-a-timeline.html).  Obviously some states and municipalities are in much better shape financially than others especially Democrat led and poorly governed states like Connecticut and New York where commercial taxpaying businesses leave so as not to continue to fund policies of woke nonsense, DEI programs, unchecked illegal immigration, high crime, and higher and higher taxes paid to the inept and illogical Blue State governments burning cash more quickly than their infrastructures and economies are deteriorating.  

But in review of this sordid and sick situation, one has to conclude that if debtors are slaves to creditors, Blue State Democrat politicians love to increase debt and redundancy while increasing the enslavement of citizens by tossing them fictional “bones” and freebies that the fewer remaining legitimate and taxpaying citizens must bear the burdens of paying via increased taxes and fees. The worst examples of this reckless and unregulated spending are in education and medicine, where the philosophy has been that more spending, redundant administration, and taxes will continually solve problems when all of this drives costs and debts to astronomical levels that are impossible for debtors to ever pay. However, in Connecticut and other Blue States, your Democrat politician such as The Unaccountable and his henchmen will create “medical debt forgiveness” causing such egregious debt to magically disappear overnight with a legally questionable program. In Connecticut, it is reported that 23,000 residents (citizenship optional) with have $30 million debt in debt wiped out! My good friend and colleague Tony De Angelo sharply questioned the legality of this program in detail which is apparently run by "Undue Medical Debt"  on his weekly segment on the Lee Elci show 94.9 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgdFNln9OI4) , (https://www.UndueMedicalDebt.org) , this being a strange charitable organization which has been by billionaires for bulbous contributions that can be channeled per its own website to various locales for the ostensible buying of votes and political influence.  This "loan forgiveness" program has several legal questions that need to be answered clearly and transparently for Taxpayers, but we know it will not be. Because, the Democrat Master is calling the shots! (You see? The Master increased your debt. The Master is now coming to relieve your debt with his signature on the debt forgiveness letter! To show your appreciation, always vote for The Master as he creates more bulbous debts to charitably relieve for others. Be advised, The Master, has spoken.).

Contrary to what our elected officials tell us, and credit companies tell us our current collective level of debt is not sustainable. It will be quite painful to see what economic damages consumers and governments will be dealing with in 2025, especially with the amount of interest that will be paid to finance $58 trillion dollars in debt. Where does this money come from? Just more and higher taxes on a government level? On a personal level the elimination of one meal a day and or homelessness or broken families or foreclosure? Perhaps our economy, especially our government, could learn to do much more with less and pay down this sickening economic albatross that strangles our economic system for generations to come.  Then again maybe they could care less about it since political power means economic power in our not so brave new world as more slaves are created for their avaricious and corrupt masters.

Why Taxpayers Have Stopped Believing In The Government

 Why have Taxpayers stopped believing in what the federal government says? There are many reasons including the years of economic and social misery of the Biden Administration foisted upon the public. Perhaps such mistrust is rooted in a 1,547-page United States “stop gap” budget bill that was to keep the country operating until March 2025. Included in that unread bill was all sorts of "pork"-related funding that would help to keep our National Debt at over $36.2 trillion dollars and growing by the second or a mere $271,790 owed per American Taxpayer. But ignorant taxpayer who are you? You are not supposed to question line items in that bill such as "essential" "funding of $8 billion for a new football stadium in Washington, D.C., $50 million to be spent annually for an extended drinking water program, five years' worth of funding for a healthcare education program, a re-authorization of the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act, the manufacture of more dangerous and exploding electric buses for the continued satisfaction of Kamala Harris, and a future pay raise for members of Congress" (https://www.thecentersquare.com/national/article_f86669c0-bd72-11ef-8ec1-6b8ff665afb6.html). You are also not to question "a one-year extension of the State Department’s Global Engagement Center, which funded an advertisers’ “blacklist” of The New York Post and other outlets to purportedly crack down on “misinformation.”(https://nypost.com/2024/12/18/us-news/musk-and-ramaswamy-press-house-gop-to-kill-federal-funding-bill-ever-seen-a-bigger-piece-of-pork/).

I am curious if any of the United States Representatives in Connecticut bothered to read any part of this 1,547-page bill loaded with payouts and payoffs? Of course not, and Taxpayers know it does not work this way. As just one horrific example of the putrid state of government, we watched an embarrassing and unhinged Connecticut United States Representative Democrat/Socialist Rosa DeLauro storm to the speaker’s podium on December 19 and rant the following: “Yesterday a multi-billionaire, with apparently no working knowledge of government or of appropriations — a self-appointed president of the United States, Elon Musk — issued a marching order for House Republicans to go against their own elected leadership and shut down the government,” (https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/12/19/congress/government-shutdown-house-vote-00195479). It is ironic that DeLauro, whose net worth is well over $20 million dollars, is jealous of Elon Musk's wealth given that in her 34-plus years in Congress she has done little actually "representing" the people of her district. It is ironic that one who has made her living being bought by the whims of monied people was now shrieking about a monied person espousing a contrary view to her own. One could not help but laugh at her speech, purple hair, and statements this week on the floor of Congress that were carried to millions on “X”. This is an excellent example of why Taxpayers stopped believing what their government says. In fact, if I were writing a dictionary of terms, I would not attempt to define “mistrust of government”, but rather would just insert a video of this horrific and embarrassing spectacle in its place. It really was that wretched of a performance, shameful even for the State of Connecticut.

Why have Taxpayers stopped believing what their state government says especially in such Democrat led states like Connecticut? There are many reasons. King Governor Ned Lamont The Unaccountable has been the beneficiary of a masterwork in the utilization of millions of state tax dollars to craft stories obfuscating any mention of his continual pattern of leveraging state resources and funding for the benefit of his wife's hedge fund Oak HC/FT through numerous, questionable deals, no bid contracts, and specious transactions. [I have written numerous times about the Lamont associated companies relating to the Covid-19 crisis include "Thermo Fisher Scientific", "Sema 4", " Core Infomatics", "Ocrulus", "Urjanet", "1life Healthcare", "Galileo Health", "Castlight Health", "Paladina Health", and "VillageMD" to name some that have found a way to deal with state-connected entities). But the state is also a great business bank to the Lamont family as well. My good friend and colleague Tony De Angelo first broke the real facts of the $15,000,000, 2% (two percent) “disappearing sweetheart” Connecticut loan to Lamont-family connected Sema-4 using state investments with no collateral or guarantee of repayment on his weekly segment on the Lee Elci radio program 94.9FM, along with the $5 million dollars directed to Lamont family-connected Digital Currency Group to (in theory) "move" 300 jobs to Stamford, CT. But if you did nothing other than watch local state-run media, you would be told that The Unaccountable is the economic, health and well-being, and governance Champion of the state. You will be told that The Unaccountable is "the most popular governor in the country", "saved us all from dying of Covid" and "single-handedly engineered the "Connecticut Comeback". You will never be told that The Unaccountable’s wife’s partnership holds multi-million-dollar capital investments in the Cayman Islands (or more accurately, the secret, tax-free haven, anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage Cayman Islands). But why do you need to know that? Its contrary to the narrative about The Unaccountable. The narrative costs millions of dollars to prop up by means of fictional stories. You are sinful and a conspiracy theorist if you do not believe it! This is why citizens who are the least bit sane have absolutely no trust in the Connecticut government anymore. (Why should they?)

However, the parade of Connecticut mistrust is long and wide. Decent mortgage and taxpaying homeowners battle with un-elected imperious bureaucrats and inane and delusional legislators pressuring local towns and cities to cede control of local zoning laws for the sake of "affordable" housing and "public" transportation, all for the sake of “the public good”. Or, how about the Connecticut comptroller's college system audit reveals 'systematic' misuse of state funds where the perpetrators are encouraged to stay on the job rather than be prosecuted? Democrat Comptroller Sean Scanlon wanders in water over his head with the problems that have been exposed with this audit. However, he gladly follows the Connecticut Democrat Party narrative of expressing surprise at the corruption and vows to address it even though the problems have been known for many months. But let's not stop there. How about the highest electric rates in the country thanks to an incoherent Democrat "green" energy manifesto? Connecticut still has $150 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt and unfunded liabilities. It is a bottom feeder state with high taxes, poor infrastructure, horrible reputation, economically incoherent state union labor agreements, legislative Communist aspirants in-training, high crime, theft and murders, rampant illegal drug trafficking, state-enabled drug abuse, and a lack of any ethics or accountability from its Governor's office. But turn to state-run television and print media! You will be reassured that never happens in Connecticut and the Lamont cash trough is the blueprint for all Democrat elected officials. And you will never hear one word of any of these mentioned. Its just more in a myriad of reasons that Connecticut taxpayers cannot and do not trust their government anymore. (How could they?) 

Why have Taxpayers stopped believing what their local government says especially in Democrat led cities such as Bridgeport, Connecticut? There are many reasons. Take Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim as one. After being convicted of racketeering, extortion, and other crimes and serving prison time, Marse Joe gets elected back into office. He spent seven years in prison beginning in 2003 before he was voted back as Mayor of Bridgeport in 2015. His current legacy is the total corruption of the election process following the findings of voter and ballot fraud by loyal Democrat official Wanda Geter-Pataky on several occasions in at least several elections. In real terms your vote really does not count in Bridgeport nor can a functional two-party system exist in the city given the corruption of elections. Nor do they care. The establishment of Bridgeport, CT will see to that. This is why the citizens of Bridgeport do not trust their government anymore. (Why should they?)

So why have Taxpayers stopped believing what their government says? They have stopped for many reasons, and many more than I have mentioned above. We as Taxpayers are tired of the incoherent gibberish that we are force fed daily by the state-run media and our supposedly "elected" officials along with their elitist non-elected political appointees. They lie to us, wanting us to somehow transcend and transform their lies as truths and know truths to be lies. And their experiment has failed miserably for years as your state tax dollars go to continually prop us this farcical Uniparty of media and government. Taxpayer, once again, be damned.

The “New Way Forward?” It Is To Repeat All The Economic Mistakes By Government Of The Past Four Years

What is economics? Simply defined, it is the study of how people allocate scarce resources for production, distribution, and consumption both individually and collectively. Economics interfaces with politics, government, law, and business. Economics has two branches; macroeconomics and microeconomics. Efficiencies in both production and exchange create a balance or equilibrium between supply and demand in free markets. Economics is a simplistic but complex social science that is sometimes misunderstood. And sadly, our economic system is sometimes horribly impeded by our elected officials and non-elected bureaucrats, who often exhibit little to no understanding of this social science.
Our economic system can also be viewed in respect to creating a “ripple effect” in our economy that helps to create economic growth and prosperity as I discussed with my friend and colleague Tony De Angelo sub-hosting on 94.9’s “Lee Elci Show” this past Thursday For example, you wish to buy a new car to replace your old one. You sell your old car to a person who is looking for a vehicle that is less expensive than a new car and will only cost him the $7,500 you are asking for it. He pays you with a bank check that you deposit in your checking account. The first economic impact of this transaction is fulfilled with you selling your used vehicle at a price that you have deemed to be fair for its value and the person you sold it to is satisfied with that price and with the utility or satisfaction he or she received in buying it. You, in turn, withdraw the $7,500 from your account and place a down payment on a new car that suits your needs, costing you $40,000 in its new condition. Therefore, a ripple effect starts with the car dealership earning a profit on the sale of the car and the salesperson earning income and or a commission by selling the car providing money to pay his bills for that month. When you return the car back to the dealership for service you help employ mechanics that earn an income from servicing your vehicle along with the service technician who waits on you, writes up, and coordinates the service itself. Parts from manufacturers are used in your vehicle that help create economic profit when they are sold to the dealer and retailed to you. Thus, we see economic activity via the functions of a ripple effect along with supply and demand balances or equilibrium taking place in the marketplace with you and your vehicle. Income and profits occur that help fuel economic growth. You receive utility in your new car and now feeling secure in traveling, you consider taking your family on a vacation many miles away.

It is my bet that only a slim minority of any politicians understand even this simple economic example above, but to the matter at hand, Does Kamala Harris understand economics? Would she as a potential POTUS be able to understand this simple example I just gave? I really must wonder in review of her "new" 82 page "New Way Forward" economic plan that she has just revealed. To me, her plan is warmed-over Bidenomics on steroids and gives the strong appearance of written by biased students using AI. As someone who has studied and taught economics for many years, I am frankly scared by this document as it is the usual stale Democrat Party economic gibberish that continues to destroy our economy especially those who work for a living, only this time using more spending.

The Harris "New Way Forward" economic plan includes many of the failed economic policies utilized during the tenure of her Vice Presidency, assuming she understood any of them in the least. To describe her 82 pages in more simplistic terms the “plan” consists of the usual, new and higher taxes, new and higher transfer payments, taxes on unrealized capital gains, more green energy subsidies, price and rent controls, less coverage with higher premiums under Obamacare, more student loan forgiveness, and much more in the way of a free-money candy-land. Reading the report is confusing to me. For example, from Page 9 a Yale economist using estimates from the Budget Lab at Yale and the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, emphasize Harris’s plan is more fiscally responsible. They note: “Any fair fiscal comparison shows this election is not a close call. If the deficit is your top issue, Harris is the clear choice End note #9 cites Sarin, Natasha. “How would Trump and Harris affect U.S. debt? The difference is huge.” The Washington Post. September 13, 2024. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin-ions/2024/09/13/harris-trump-deficit-debt. To this pap/ claptrap, my question is didn't the National debt and budget deficit grow to record amounts under the Harris Vice Presidency? Is that not factual? So how is it possible that the same basic economic policies with all the entitlement programs, giveaways, no cost loans, tax credits, failed green energy programs and loan forgiveness do not dramatically increase the National Debt to even higher proportions? Could this mysterious unnamed "Yale economist" explain this to the American Taxpayer? Or is he or she comfortable in the cushy existence of being paid by a huge endowment making prognostications without suffering any negative effects from the same?

The statements become even more unsupported and bizarre: "Unlike Trump, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare. They will shore up Social Security and Medicare so that these essential programs will stay solvent in the long run by making corporations and the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share in taxes." (Page 69). Does Harris mean that Corporate and wealthy individual Democrat Party political donors will be singled out to pay these higher taxes to pay for Social Security and Medicare? Or will they be able to continue to lobby for their tax exemptions and breaks as they have been for many years? Does this mean Nancy Pelosi will disclose her tax statements to show either how little (likely) or how much (unlikely) she pays in federal taxes? Magically under the Harris Vice Presidency of the past four years, she was not able to shore up Social Security and Medicare but again it is somehow President Trump's fault for this crisis that under her Vice Presidency grew unabated and exacerbated. Give us all a break.

In reading this train-wreck of a manifesto, I have set my hourglass to wonder how long it will be before some of the Connecticut local politicians, understanding nothing at all about economic principles, tout this plan as the solution. My only question is who will this bold stalwart be? Will it be Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, who will make a tweet out of it to show his hatred for President Trump? Will it be ”Businessman Governor” King Ned Lamont The Unaccountable, who during his watch has seen more business leave the state or close than in any time in state history? Or will it be Comptroller Sean Scanlon, who showed his knowledge of sound fiscal policy and present value mathematics by dividing the debt into a small currently due portion, deferring the balance as it accrued even greater interest cost, and then he was touted by the state-run media and the “bipartisan” legislature as “The Man That Solved The State Deficit.” As I often say, the Connecticut Apple rests on the trunk of the poisoned National tree when it comes to matters of economics.

This 82 page "New Way Forward" thesis/AI/Chat GPT, drool and muck, is a Utopian lie of more socialism and economic restriction for our country and is the norm for the Democrat Party platforms. Voters need to understand that Kamala Harris has been the Vice President for the past four years covering for the incompetent and mentally senile Joe Biden and they are responsible for the runaway inflation and runaway increases in the National Debt, not President Trump. The 82 page "New Way Forward" is more like the "Old Way Backwards Warmed Over" and contains little if anything "new" economically to move "forward". It would be refreshing to see some "new" economic thought such as a plan to balance the yearly budget, a plan to pay down the $35 trillion dollar National Debt, a plan to realistically cut taxes for the working middle class, a plan to eliminate Taxpayers monies being paid out fraudulently to individuals and businesses who wish to defraud our government, a plan to make health care affordable again, a plan to stop using Taxpayers monies to prop up our foreign enemies and a plan to restore our free market system while lessening the sickening 24% Federal control of our Gross Domestic Product. It can be done, but politically Vice President Harris does not have the abilities nor the background to change her failed ways. Truly enough is enough of the Democrats control of our economy and its Taxpayers.

The Failed Economic Fantasy Land and The Joyful World Of Kamala Harris

There have been many, many economic policy failures of the failed Democrat Biden-Harris Administration.  Voters are now being treated to lies as far as the economic accomplishments of this administration. Unfortunately, there is not much good economic news that has transpired since this Administration took office back in 2021.  The sad fact of the matter is our economy is in a gravely troubled state no matter how the state-run media tries to spin it.

The costs of borrowing to prop up a $35 trillion-dollar National Debt has grown by an enormous amount, especially given higher prevailing interest rates.  This interest will cost taxpayers roughly $900 billion dollars for 2024, and accounts for over 3% of our Gross Domestic Product.  That amounts to $900 billion dollars that is unproductive in our economy, as is the growing $35 trillion-dollar National Debt.  It is clear that the Democrat Party endorsed candidates Vice-President Harris and liberal spending and volatile Minnesota Governor Tim Walz have no understanding nor care of the economic turmoil that this debt causes.  And obviously with a limited economics education and no understanding of how a free-market economy works, Vice President Harris shows that she is unaware of any economic event that has taken place since she took office, but she likes to project “joy, wherever she goes.”  I guess she must feel "joy" as to how her Administration has helped to bankrupt the country.

Costs have increased dramatically for just about all consumer goods and services.  These additional costs include housing, electricity, transportation, medical care, gasoline, all food items, all consumer staples, the costs of borrowing money/interest rates, clothing, paper goods, and many more.  Costs have gone up for consumers and businesses and industries.  Vice President Harris seems to be enamored with her new phrase of "shrinkflation" developed by her glib, hip marketers to help shift blame from her Administration to all of those “greedy, profit driven businesses” that somehow created her Administration's nonstop deficit spending.  This is the same nonstop government deficit spending that has created the runaway inflation we have had since 2021.

In review of the Biden-Harris-Walz debacle, one can only shake their head and ask if there is any Democrat-controlled environment anywhere where expenses are low, cities are safe, budgets are balanced, and businesses prosper. But that is not the case anywhere. Take the Democrat-run policy bereft, economically burdened, and energy-crippled and incoherent state of King Ned Lamont The Unaccountable’s Connecticut. Where problems are met with excuses and where issues are ducked by the political class like beanballs. The old Hebrews would say that the apple does not fall far from the tree. So, picture what a Harris-Walz administration acting in like manner can do to further destroy America if it acts only one-half as bad as states like Connecticut and California.

 However, there are given solutions to help eliminate inflation in our economy, although in order to qualify as such they must be politically generated!  The Federal Reserve Bank has done all it can to help raise interest rates to make money more expensive in order to somehow "cool" inflation.  It will violate long-standing practice and “help” the economy along politically by having an interest rate cut in September to further the illusionary process of having inflation go down and or remain stable.  Of course, this faux policy will be heralded by all Democrats and the state-run media couched in terms that Vice President Harris has miraculously “solved the problems of inflation” even though her Administration has helped to oversee one of the greatest losses of personal wealth for many socio-economic groups since 2021. (In point of fact, one can wonder if Vice President Harris is capable of balancing her own checkbook).

Inflation and the great loss of personal wealth can be corrected.  It starts with government at all levels cutting back spending dramatically.  This means immediately cutting back on the massive and failed economic subsidies for green energy.  It starts with the closing our border and the unchecked migration of anyone and everyone whom we as Taxpayers get to support.  It starts with a government forced to meet economic efficiencies to save money.  It starts with an end to the failed Democrat Biden Harris Administration and the election of a new President who is not associated as the former Vice President of this incompetent and corrupted economic debacle we have been forced to live through since 2021.  You are not better off economically than you were in 2021.  2025 can represent a new beginning for our economy and country in many ways-it will not happen with the "joy" of Vice President Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz who are a metastasizing cancer in our society in 2024.

How Did America Ever Survive the Wretched Government of Biden-Harris?

All through my life I have lived through incredible crises. Kennedy Crisis, The Watergate Crisis, The Energy Crisis Parts One and Two, The “No More Energy By The Year 2000” Crisis, Nixon's resignation, the "Whip Inflation Now" Crisis, the Khmer Rouge Death March Crisis, The Iranian Hostage Crisis, the Reagan Assassination Attempt Crisis, The Iran Contra Crisis, The Savings And Loan Crisis, the Gulf War Crisis, the Clinton Sex Scandals Crisis, The Clinton Impeachment Crisis, The Dot-Com Bubble Crisis, The 9/11 Crisis, The Afghanistan War Crisis, The Great Recession Economic Crisis of 08, The Housing Crisis of 08-09, The Nationalized Obamacare Health Insurance Crisis, The BLM Riots and Summer of Love Crisis, the Climate Change Crisis, The Ongoing All Things President Trump Crisis and The Covid-19 Deathly Virus Crisis. That is a great deal of crises that I and others have had to deal with over the past 65 years, reflecting on how government and its attendant bad policies have caused many debacles to occur over the past seven decades.

But wait! There has been much more by way of crises for America to deal with since the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris debacle of 2021-24. I, with many other Americans got to live through the Afghanistan War surrender in 2021 and the brainless loss of roughly $60 billion dollars of U.S. Taxpayer funded weaponry as it was handed to the enemy. Americans have also had to deal with a $35 trillion-dollar National Debt that continues to grow daily. It is inarguable that “Bidenomics” has helped to create the runaway inflation hurting the working middle class and retirees enormously as many citizens have gone deeper into debt and have extinguished their savings just to pay basic bills. We are now forced to understand why our God-given birth sex is no longer correct and young children must be mutilated due to this woke liberal crisis of "gender-affirming" child abuse. We also cannot forget the border crisis that has killed scores of innocent Americans and placed countless lives at risk, with said crisis overseen by Vice President (now Presidential candidate) Kamala Harris. The lack of action by Harris and her carefree attitudes about this crisis should terrify any voter. Naturally, the blame-throwing Harris blames Trump for the crisis since he incredibly "held up" the vote on re-securing the border recently in both the House and Senate. However, we also now deal with a re-energized enemy in the Middle East in the Hamas terrorist group along with Iran. The Biden-Harris debacle gives tacit acceptance to the "peaceful" paid pro-Palestine protestors desecrating anything and everything in our country and college campuses under the guise of civil rights. I often wonder what the Biden-Harris debacle would have done if any of their families or friends were murdered in cold blood in the October 7th attack in Israel? Actually, it strains any understanding whatsoever as to how any person of the Jewish faith would ever support any Democrat at this time.

But none of the above seems to permeate the conscience of the Vice President Harris campaign as it focuses on the usual Democrat talking points: The Biden-Harris debacle was the greatest four years in our country's history! The Biden-Harris debacle has somehow created all sorts of jobs through Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion! The Biden-Harris debacle has no border crisis whatsoever as these non-citizens can somehow pay taxes and vote in the upcoming election! The Biden-Harris debacle is adamant and unrelenting that President Trump is a true threat to democracy and that the economic and social nightmare this country has been forced to live under is all Donald Trump’s fault even going back before the time he even was President. Vice President Harris is a mirror image of her failed President's administration, she cannot change these failures nor is the least bit interested in doing so.

Our government's deep, secretive state along with its non-elected politically connected advisors have helped to create a great deal of questionable, social, and economically horrific laws, rules, regulations, and policies. We as American Taxpayers apparently must shrug off this insanity and just grin and bear it. I fail to see how we are still living in a representative democracy given what takes place in our government and political system. Billions of dollars control our election process with little result. Truth is hard to find in our government especially in the Biden-Harris Administration. We as a country can ill afford another wasted four years of this incoherent Democrat Party gibberish. Kamala Harris can't change the history of her baffling, bewildering, and incomprehensible past four years of hiding as Vice President of the United States of America.
She is unprepared, ill-equipped, incompetent, and enfeebled to become the President. And God help America if she is ever elected.

The Compounded Felony of Joe Biden and His Myriad Democrat Enablers

Kindly ask yourself the following question: Who is running the United States of America? Is it elected officials such as the President, Vice President, and Congress? Is it non-elected political party staffers who are career bureaucrats? Is it a paid for state-run media that presents only positive information and news when a Democrat is President? Is it several of the highly paid consulting groups who dictate policies and laws for the American Taxpayers to abide by and pay for through their tax dollars? Is it the foreign spies and enemies of our country? Is it paid political protestors who are not subjected to the laws of our country? Is it illegal immigrants? Is it Jill Biden, the First Lady? Who, frankly, is really running the United States of America?

One can argue that our President is only a figurehead in our government. However, one should not confuse a figurehead with a fossil. That said, it has become evident over the past four years that Joe Biden is only a vacuous symbol of the free world who has lost most of his capabilities to speak, make decisions, communicate with officials and leaders without a teleprompter, and make decisions on his own. His doddering mannerisms give him the appearance of one who is acting like a Monarch overlooking his own personal monarchy. The 24/7/365 incoherent gibberish spouting from pro Democrat mainstream media had covered very well for Biden up to his confused, muddled, and unclear debate performance which was blamed upon several factors that should be an insult to the intelligence of the American Voter. The American Voter, no matter what their party affiliation, has experienced and watched the gaffes, memory lapses, stumbles, and massive mental decline of Biden for years firsthand, capped off by a “Big Boy” press conference on July 11 providing the American voter with an encore performance of the same. This American Voter also has been wondering why they do not see their President communicating much if at all, except for an elite few in the media that have been carefully guarding his decline. And why is that? Because we are told constantly that a second Trump Administration is a threat to democracy and the free world as we know it. One could clearly argue that the current leftist Biden Administration has been a much graver threat to democracy over the past four years with an apparent surrogate and non-elected group of unknown individuals making decisions for our country. We are now on the verge of World War III, we insist on recognizing terrorists are legitimate leaders of countries, we have runaway inflation, we have a runaway National Debt, we have United States citizens being held hostage throughout the world and we have a grave sense of hopelessness as a country that has not been felt in many years with the America-be-damned Biden Monarchy debacle now ruling us.

It is also evident that the failed Biden administration has done an outstanding job in enabling the Democrat sycophants of the state of Connecticut on its road to ruin. The serially incompetent Miguel Cardona of Connecticut serves in a manner of sorts as the United States Secretary of Education. One might ask themselves what kind of a President appoints someone in education who thinks it is perfectly fine for your daughter to play sports with men wishing to be women and having these poor girls nervously undressing before these men without a right to complain. Obviously, only a shell of a man without any thinking sensitivities whatsoever could make such an evil appointment. And the Biden lie has been further enabled by the entire Connecticut Congressional Delegation (with the exception of a scared of not being re-elected Jim Himes) who does all it can to dance and distance itself from this issue. Not to be undone, King Governor Ned Lamont the Unaccountable continues his non-answers to all questions about Biden, while he gleefully holds his hands out for whatever largesse dear old senile Uncle Joe can fork over for the Unaccountable to somehow waste. (After all, a payday is a payday).

But of course, neither Connecticut nor the national news media strives for correct answers, as they act like publicists than journalists. At one time the media presented two sides of all news events and issues and allowed the intelligent consumer to draw his or her own conclusions. Today, we have news that is meant to indoctrinate ourselves to the failed values and demands of a socialistic state whereby a differing opinion must be silenced at all costs. This is the manner that state run media, a media that has covered for Joe Biden and his operatives, and Connecticut politicians for years, operates. And this self-serving media still believes that it is omnipotent in our society. The media acts as a self-appointed ruling part of our government in conjunction with the failed Democrat Party with all telling us what they want us to hear. This type of conduct would be deemed as fraud, larceny, or felonious conduct in the private sector, but in Democrat government, it is their equivalent of God’s work.

But ostensibly, even liars have limits. Now, we are told that some in the media are turning away from Biden. They are lecturing him as to withdraw and allow an even worse leftist/socialist/unserious/incompetent to run in our do-nothing Vice President Kamala Harris. She now must be ascended to the Monarchy and its crown to continue wreak havoc on our country with her mumbled socialist thoughts. and speech as she incoherently rambles about “reproductive rights” with said reproductive rights now available to all women. However, in seeing that, I ask how low will the Democrat Party go to preserve its power?

Time is running short for America. It can't accept four more years of disgrace and elitism that the Democrat Party at all levels of government offer. It has failed miserably since the Biden coronation. It has failed along with a nonexistent unbalanced media that is the second arm of the Democrat Party. The charade of the media in protecting one like Biden for over two years now shows the complete distaste and distrust both the media and the Democrat Party has for all of our country especially for those who question their ideologies. There is no path to victory for lying Joe Biden and his cronies. This November we will rid ourselves top to bottom of this dross, dreck and garbage that is the Democrat Party of America in 2024.
