Constitutional Crisis? The Democrat Party IS The Constitutional Crisis

It is an amazement to listen to the new Democrat Party experts on the United States Constitution as to what constitutes a "Constitutional Crisis". Of course, this is the same incompetent and sordid cast of characters that locked us down in 2020 “following the science” of Covid-19 while at least three Constitutional rights of Americans were violated. But you are supposed to forget about those abuses and losses of lives and livelihoods as The Democrats are the party that is always out to protect you and shield you from all manners of harm and disinformation, as its leaders such as Connecticut's King Governor Ned Lamont the Unaccountable find ways to profit from citizen pain and misfortune.

Lest you think I digress, I find that as I listen to the daily noise echoed by these same Democrat Party elites one would think that America has fallen off the face of the earth and or was taken over by foreign enemies or fascists. And it is shocking as to how little Democrat elected officials understand our sacred document known as the United States Constitution. Read the Preamble: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

This grand-scale mental and emotional meltdown is due to the beginnings of the dismantling of a bureaucracy via the new Department of Government Efficiency known as DOGE. I personally do not see any references to DOGE in the Constitution. Looking at some of DOGE's findings which I discussed in my blog last week, the storm continues in intensity. Listening to Connecticut's Socialist/Democrat/Unhinged Lunatic United States Senator Chris Murphy raging against DOGE was comical. He stated: "that President Donald Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) leader Elon Musk's actions constitute "illegal seizures of power," sparking a "constitutional crisis.". He further stated: "Democrats should not support "a single nominee" appointed by Trump and "should not grant expedited process to any nominees until this crisis passes."     As for USAID, the senator said Trump "has gone as far to essentially shutter the entire agency, laying off 60% of the people in many bureaus, telling employees yesterday that none of them should show up for work." "That is unconstitutional" the senator said, speculating that Trump "may be making a guess" that the U.S. Supreme Court will give him the power to shutter agencies. So much for this Democrat Secretary of State wannabe working with his peers for the betterment of our country.  A $36 Trillion-dollar National Debt can be damned according to Socialist/Democrat/Unhinged Lunatic United States Senator Murphy, as the man baby continually cries out to do it his way or visit the highway so you can be run over. Murphy might consider becoming an actor as he is suited for that rather than governing.

Why haven't all of the Country's problems been solved yet? But we have spent trillions so far with little result? Murphy and his Democrat Political Elite avoid this question. This past Tuesday, I was interviewed by my good friend Tony De Angelo who was the guest Host for Lee Elci on his show 94.9FM. To paraphrase part of what I stated on the show that it is simplistic yet complex for our government to understand. Let us just think about the trillions of dollars we have spent over 60 years reaching all of the way back to “The Great Society” of President Lyndon B. Johnson. But we still have wars, we still have homeless, we still have people starving, we still have crime, we still have a drug crisis, we still have human trafficking, we still have dead people collecting social security, we still have pathetic rotting cities, and we still have fraud/waste and theft going on in our government.  There are never any solutions offered by the Democrat Party on these issues except to throw more money at these same agencies, studies, reports, committees, and programs and get the same failed results, only with greater failure. We really should have none of these problems with the money American Taxpayers have spent over the years.

It is funny that America’s forerunners knew more about 2025 America than today’s politicians. Mark Twain was an American writer, humorist, and lecturer, widely regarded as one of the greatest literary figures in U.S. history. He blended sharp social commentary with humor and vivid storytelling. Twain was a master of satire, often critiquing human nature, politics, and institutions with a biting wit. At one point, Mr. Twain famously stated that “No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session” Unfortunately for the poor taxpaying citizen of Connecticut, this must be the most accurate description of the Connecticut State Legislature ever made. For rather than take heed of the will of citizens to tax less, increase government transparency and accountability, reduce utility costs, and strip out bureaucracy, the fervor of what has driven Connecticut to the gutter driven by the imperious and arrogant Democrat-driven representative body continues at a frantic pace. Be it an electricity cost that will increase with no critical action when solutions are easy and obvious, more reckless spending in education-just because, the veneration and protection of illegal aliens over citizens and veterans, increased spending on climate change, and uncontrolled grants to non-profits, money is never an object to the delusional and inept legislator. In these cases, the legitimate taxpaying citizen prays for federal funding to be discontinued to the state so that further damage will be starved out at the source.

Speaking of great men of history, there is a quote that has been attributed to President Abraham Lincoln that was paraphrased from the historical Lincoln Douglas Debates. This quote is appropriate for 2025 and what we are now seeing with the Democrat Party and their cries of a Constitutional Crisis, stating that “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” President Lincoln also stated: “It is the eternal struggle between these two principles — right and wrong — throughout the world. They are the two principles that have stood face to face from the beginning of time; and will ever continue to struggle. The one is the common right of humanity, and the other the divine right of kings. It is the same principle in whatever shape it develops itself. It is the same spirit that says, "You toil and work and earn bread, and I'll eat it." The American and Connecticut Taxpayer is tired of being fooled by an out-of-control government who shows no respect for them. They are tied of the whining of the political elitists who know so much more than they, but actually, know nothing.  The Democrat Party has created their own crisis of destruction, incompetence, and lies into a macabre and horrific art form. They own it. President Trump is leading our country. The Democrat Party is leading in their own slum of deceit, incompetency, and corruption.

Society will be much better off if the Democrat Party goes the way of the Whig Party. This would be a fitting tribute for sixty years of failure reaching back all the way to Lyndon B. Johnson’s Great Society.

The Real “Project 2025”- (aka The Hope of Americans To Afford Groceries in 2025)


I do not know many people who can survive without eating food. Over the past four years, we've experienced runaway inflation under the economically bereft and failed Biden-Harris administration. In economic theory, this inflation is supposedly easing, but it has allowed soaring prices to persist, especially for food. Vice President Kamala Harris, the newly appointed presidential candidate, has stated that she wants to eliminate "price gouging" at grocery stores through a magical formula of price controls that will somehow lower food prices and mystically make them more affordable. However, we know little about this program other than the classic liberal rhetoric that anyone and everyone in business is evil, especially if they seek to earn a profit to merely pay their bills.
Does the esteemed Vice President realize that her party has mandated above-equilibrium minimum wages in many states eliminating jobs and causing the prices of goods, especially food, to rise? Does she understand that the cost of the grain to feed chickens has doubled over the past few years? Does she know what a "profit margin" is and how unchecked and barbaric retail shoplifting can eliminate profit margins for many retailers, especially grocery stores? Does she have any clue whatsoever that the increased costs of energy are a direct burden on the costs of goods and services and their delivery? Profits are impermissible and taboo unless they benefit the Democrat Party's political apparatus, such as King Ned Lamont "the Unaccountable" Lamont and his family's myriad investments and hedge fund, millionaire heiress Nancy Pelosi, anti-capitalist multi-millionaire and multi-business owner Gavin Newsom, millionaire President Biden with his corrupt son's pay-to-play phone calls, “Multi-Millionaire Man of The People” Comrade Senator Richard Blumenthal, or Socialist millionaire Rosa DeLauro. Price controls are defined as "a government regulation establishing a maximum price to be charged for specified goods and services, especially during periods of war or inflation." Throughout history, it is clearly determined that price controls do not work, as anyone in the Democrat Party would realize if they bothered to research American economic history more closely, particularly during the 1970s. The price controls under both the Nixon and Carter administrations were abysmal failures, leading to even higher prices and shortages of gas and oil. For those old enough to remember, there were long lines at gas stations and great shortages of gas and diesel fuel during the two Arab oil embargoes. These shortages were exacerbated by price controls on gas and oil enacted during this time, rather than allowing the free market to explore and drill for more domestic oil to reduce our dependency on foreign OPEC oil. When President Reagan took office, he eliminated price controls, resulting in increased supply, lower prices, and a major boom in the automotive industry, particularly for the near-bankrupt Chrysler Corporation.
Presidential candidate Harris apparently contradicts her role as Vice President in her coronation as President, as she seems to believe that our economy is still struggling with inflation. She is now a declared candidate who is disowning her record as Vice President and creating yet another fabrication of stale and copied ideas as her own, including price controls to curb food inflation. Her Vice Presidency has helped to cripple many parts of our economy with unchecked federal spending that offers scant results, a failing green energy agenda without any cost restriction, abortion at all costs to the American taxpayer, a $35 trillion national debt, and a deep-rooted dislike and disdain for any American taxpayer who disagrees with her party's progressive, socialist, and communist decrees and ideals.
Price controls always carry unintended consequences, and we are only seeing the beginnings of what another failed Democrat administration might look like. And this scenario is both dire, and dour. I highly suggest stocking up on non-perishable goods and paper products because I believe that with the creation of the “President’s Price Gouging Czar” Office, we will make the runaway inflation of the past four years look like a bargain compared to the much higher prices and chronic shortages she will inflict on our economy. We are already dealing with billions of dollars being spent on social welfare programs resulting in crime, homelessness and hunger that never seem to go away due to the lack of accountability by the unelected and inept bureaucrats and failed officials who create these programs. More money and more taxes are their only solutions, and now, with socialist-type price controls, we are headed for yet another failed outcome. And as the incipient decline accelerates, we can look forward to the mindless patter of social media posts coming from The Unaccountable, and/or members of the Connecticut State Senate as to “achieving equity” or “the evils of MAGA” or “The Connecticut Comeback” or the clincher of “Trump is/was a Felon”, all of which will of course comfort and reassurance for any Connecticut family without enough cash for milk or eggs.

America can avoid this scenario. The solution is to vote this economic and societal cancer known as the Democrat Party out of office, a party that is now led by a Vice President who has never truly led, and her gang of multi-millionaire bureaucrats who have no understanding of economic reality whatsoever. I personally believe she has been an atrocious failure as the next in command (if anyone is in command) in the White House. She and her party need to go, so our country and economy can become free again in 2025. It would be the last hope for America.

Connecticut Taxpayers-Are You Better Off In 2018 Than You Were In 2014? 2010? 1990?

If you are a Connecticut Taxpayer are better off in 2018 than you were in 2014? 2010?  How about 1990?
Think about it.  Are you paying more or less taxes?  Have you had to change jobs since your former employer either closed or moved out of state?  Has your local property taxes increased in that time frame?  Have you wondered why the Connecticut state budget has grown to $21 billion dollars a year from $7 billion dollars a year in 1990 while population has dropped by 10%, an approximate 67% increase in spending?  Have you wondered why Connecticut's short and long term debt and unfunded liabilities is now $60 to $80 billion dollars or four times the annual budget of the state?  Have you wondered why a state judge can retire at 70% of their pay for the rest of their lives after only three years of service?  In your current job are you guaranteed medical benefits for life when you retire?  Do you have a pension at your job?  If you do are you going to receive it by not contributing one penny to it in your work career?  Also if you have a pension are you able to include overtime worked and mileage reimbursement expenses to its calculation like Connecticut state workers can in some cases?  If you are a legal citizen of Connecticut are your children able to get financial aid attending a state community college or university like "Dreamer" students can?  If you own a business in Connecticut has the amount of regulations on your business increased since 2014 or 2010?  If you own a home in Connecticut and do not have a crumbling foundation do you want to pay a new $12 tax on your homeowners policy to supposedly correct this issue that you had no role in?  Do you like paying one of the highest levels of taxes in the country while the state ranks near last in economic growth and business friendliness?
Again if you are a Connecticut Taxpayer are better off in 2018 than you were in 2014? 2010?  How about 1990?
I know I am not and many of my family, friends and business owners are not.
This is the record that the Connecticut Democrat Party is running on in November.  They have lied for years now to Connecticut Taxpayers.  And Connecticut is in an economic mess.  They have no solutions other than tax and spend to protect their elite ruling political class.  The Connecticut Democrat Party owns the economy.  And they have no solutions whatsoever.
Remember this when you vote in November.

Connecticut's Shrinking Economy: Now #49 Out Of 50 States.

It seems that there is constant news about how poor Connecticut's economy is and how it has not recovered since the last recession.  Recessions come in cycles.  The last recession was in 2008 and since that time Connecticut according to United States Bureau of Economic Analysis has only regained roughly 80% of the jobs it has lost while the country as a whole has more than doubled the jobs it has lost since then.  Connecticut now ranks #49 out of 50 states in economic growth dropping from #32 in 2016.  Connecticut's economy has shrunk to its lowest levels since 2004 a regression of enormous proportions.  This means that Connecticut is losing both businesses and citizens at a rapid level.  It is also means that the eight years of the Democrat leadership of Governor Malloy and a Democrat led State House and Senate have failed miserably in their economic programs.  It also means that the eight years of the Democrat leadership of Governor Malloy and a Democrat led State House and Senate increased taxes and expanded tax programs have failed miserably.  The Democrats who are running for reelection are quick to blame the Weicker/Rowland/Rell administrations.  Some Democrats blame the minority Republicans in the House and Senate for not increasing taxes enough. 
Yet the past eight long years in Hartford should prove to any Connecticut voter how poorly managed the economy has been run by the Connecticut Democrat Party.  Yet the Democrats continue to deny that anything is wrong.  They continue to argue for new and higher taxes.  They continue to nurture their brand of political nepotism with tremendous salaries, benefits and pensions for both union and management state workers.  This is the record they are running on in 2018.  The state media continues to embrace their failed policies in their reporting of the upcoming election by focusing upon the supposed "faults" of the Republican candidates.  I read little about any "faults" of the Democrat candidates including their convicted felon who is running for Governor.
Thus 2018 remains a critical election in Connecticut's history.  It could be an election that the economically illiterate Connecticut Democrat Party loses their majorities in the House and Senate.  It could be an election that the state Republican party loses some of their RINOS and become somewhat more fiscally and socially conservative.   It could be an election that we have a Republican Governor elected.  There are a great deal of unknowns this November.  One thing that is known is that Connecticut's economy is in a downward spiral.  Connecticut's economy has not been helped through the giveaway of Connecticut Taxpayer's monies through the Department of Economic and Community Development.  We see now the misuse and lack of record keeping for jobs and loan repayments in this agency.  And we also see that nothing whatsoever is being done at Department of Economic and Community Development to rectify it.
Connecticut's economy is on life support.  Connecticut's economy is damaged and broken.  Connecticut's state government tax and spend policies are economically unsustainable.  They are the direct cause of why businesses and citizens are moving out of Connecticut daily for the past eight years.  Yet many of our elected officials just do not understand it.  And the ultra liberal wing of the Connecticut Democrat Party wants even more state spending and more taxes. 
Connecticut is an economic crisis created by years of Democrat Party rule which has increased taxes to unsustainable levels.  Connecticut can only be saved if it is willing to cut taxes and spending.  Connecticut's swamp really needs to be drained this November to survive.

Connecticut's Lack Of Fairness To Its Remaining Taxpayers

In his last State of the Union address, Governor Dan Malloy embarked upon a typical liberal Connecticut Democrat progressive and utopian vision of tolls everywhere, much higher and new taxes along with the same rhetoric of affordable mandated health care, higher minimum wages along with a much lengthier paid family leave law.  He threw in the usual cuts in municipal aid to "wealthier" towns to give more more money to the Democrat run economically failing cities such as Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven.  The broken down XL Center gets yet more money to prop it open.  He harped on these liberal concepts as part of a "Connecticut Fairness" plan which ties in with the Connecticut Democrat Party plan of a "Values Agenda" (whatever that may be). Not a word was mentioned in his speech about the budget deficits nor the massive amount of short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities the state has in 2018.
Malloy thus has spent both terms as Governor raising taxes and forcing an even more failed liberal agenda upon the remaining Connecticut Taxpayers left in the state.  Does he realize how bad the state's economy is and that we are still yet out of the recession?`
But the question must be asked after listening to this speech is "How is this budget fair to Connecticut Taxpayers?" In my analysis all this new budget does is once again raises taxes, makes driving in Connecticut especially expensive with a seven cent increase in the gas tax tax along with congestion price tolls on all highways and secondary roads in the state and expands taxes elsewhere.  The new budget keeps up social welfare programs for those in the state here illegally along with a much higher minimum wage (which will eliminate more jobs in the state).  Why does "Fairness" apply in this budget only to those who are politically connected such as state labor unions, the ruling political hierarchy and those here in the state illegally?  What happened to "Fairness" to those who are legal citizens of the state and pay an excessive amount of state taxes to live here?  Are they not entitled to any benefits of state government?  And how has this Connecticut Democrat Party liberal agenda worked so far in the state since the Malloy Administration began in 2011?  Haven't we seen an enormous amount of businesses and citizens move out of the state since 2011?  How many tax increases has the state had? Why is the short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities of the state now $60 to $80 billion dollars, a massive increase since 2011?  What is the plan to pay off this debt? 
Fairness does not exist in the Connecticut Democrat Party in 2018.  This budget is a cesspool of higher taxes and failed programs that can only further the economic decline of the state.  It is economic garbage.  Yet this is the liberal agenda that the Connecticut Democrat Party will be running upon throughout the state in the upcoming elections this November.  And this why all Democrats need to be voted out of office on election day from top to bottom.  Dan Malloy's policies have failed completely since 2011.  The Connecticut Democrat Party's policies have failed completely since 2011.   Enough is enough.

The Malloy Gimmick Veto-Still No Connecticut Budget

Governor Malloy vetoed on September 28 what he called a "gimmick-laden" budget that passed the House and Senate on September 15/16.  The Governor long on rhetoric and short on economic literacy continued his rants and raves about how bad the budget was since it made cuts to higher education especially the University of Connecticut.  Malloy then took to the road with UConn's President Susan Herbst who in fiscal year 2015-2016 earned a mere $911,037.50 in salary along with $75,062.21 in fringe benefits (http://transparency.ct.gov/html/searchpayroll.asp) to state the devastation that will take place to the University if those budget cuts were made.  The Board of Regents for Higher Education President Mark Ojakian who earns in excess of $332,000 a year in salaries and benefits took equally to the streets to stir up a posse of complaints about the new budget and its cuts to his department. Cries of "Tax the Rich" were heard by several special interest groups even though many of the wealthiest Connecticut Taxpayers are moving out of the state each year thus furthering the collapsing tax revenues the state receives each year. 
Obviously here in Connecticut cutting spending is wrong especially when its comes to higher education.  If one examines closely the higher education budget especially for administrative non teaching positions salaries, benefits and pensions there seems to be a massive amount of money being spent in these areas. The only solutions in response to these budget cuts being put forth by its leaders is to raise tuition for students.  There is never any mention of cuts to either President Herbst's or President Ojakian's salaries, benefits or pensions.  Nor there is ever any mention of any economic solutions by what is supposed to be some of the smartest and brightest individuals in our society who run Connecticut higher education on how to do more with less money. Connecticut Taxpayers must finds ways to do more with less on a daily basis.
Thus we still have no budget nor do I believe we will have a budget in the near future. 
Governor Malloy and the Connecticut Democrat Party wishes to inflict as much pain and suffering it can on Connecticut Taxpayers in order to protect and nurture a ruling political class that has decreed upon itself one of the highest levels of salaries, benefits and pensions in the country at the expense of the state's economic well being.  
Connecticut continues to be an economic nightmare with this budget mess.  Connecticut continues to have failed leadership in its government.  Connecticut's short and long term debt continues to be massive. 
It is time to take back Connecticut.

Governor Malloy-Sign The Republican Budget

I do not think the Connecticut Democrat Party understood what happened to them when there was defections in their ranks and some moderate Democrats decided to vote for a Republican sponsored economically feasible no tax increase budget.  Do they realize that their economic lies and excessive taxation has now actually grown stale with their own party members?  Does the Connecticut Democrat Party now realize that the last seven years of the Malloy Administration has been a complete economic failure of excessive taxation and excessive short and long term debt?  Has the Connecticut Democrat Party seen the amount of houses and condos for sale in our state?  Has the Connecticut Democrat Party seen the amount of businesses that have moved out of our state in the past seven years?  Does the Connecticut Democrat Party have any plan to pay off Connecticut's short and long term debt of $60 to $80 billion dollars?
There are no answers to these questions by the Connecticut Democrat Party.
Thus several of their members have decided to move away from their tax and spend policies and try something different.  A Republican budget that actually cuts spending and does not raise taxes.  A budget that looks at the excessive costs of mid and upper level management positions in all areas of state government including higher education. And the responses have been the usual bureaucratic outcries of how all of these cuts will decimate their programs.  Have all of the higher taxes and higher spending for these same programs in the past seven years done anything to make Connecticut economically attractive and viable?  Or has all of this excessive taxing and spending brought Connecticut to its knees economically?
Governor Malloy needed to sign that budget immediately.  Of course he didn't and we will see in a few days his massive spending cuts take place for our cities and towns on October 1.  We will see his politically charged and induced form of punishment of well managed and economically efficient towns and cities losing aid for state mandated programs take hold while Connecticut's corrupted and poorly run cities gloat in their windfalls of yet even more state aid.
Leadership in Hartford has not been seen for many years now.  This budget allows Connecticut the beginnings of a new prosperity and towards economic growth.  It gives the remaining legal Connecticut residents and taxpayers a slim glimmer of economic hope for the future of the state.
But will Governor Malloy and the Connecticut Democrat Party admit their lies and move this budget to become law?  I highly doubt it.  The Connecticut Democrat Party is and always will be the economic cancer that has destroyed Connecticut.  Enough is enough.

September 9 and No New Connecticut Budget

Again we have no new Connecticut budget.  Nothing new.  It is now September 9 and there is no new Connecticut budget.  71 days into the new fiscal year and there is still no new Connecticut budget. However we are witnessing the unmitigated gall of the Governor and the Omnipotent One Party Rule of the Connecticut Democrat Party in now developing the third highest tax increase in the states history with their new budget proposal coming after the two highest tax increases in the states history.  Those two highest tax increases were supposed to stabilize the states finances.
This new proposal again with zero input from the Connecticut Republican legislators who represent over 47% of Connecticut voters and taxpayers will be shoved down our throats in the coming days.  The tax increases are severe.  There is an increase in hospital taxes. There are increases in the state sales tax, an elimination of tax free week in August, the property tax credit on the state income tax would be reduced to $100 and be limited to senior citizens or those with dependents, a new 7% restaurant sales tax and an increase the conveyance tax on real estate sales.  Municipal aid to towns and cities to help pay for mandated teachers pensions will be cut thus creating higher property taxes for local property tax taxpayers.
Thus Governor Malloy has lied once again to Connecticut Taxpayers.  He will raise taxes yet again.  Connecticut still does not have a balanced budget.  The Connecticut Democrat Party has once again lied to Connecticut Taxpayers and will raise both taxes and spending.
There has been no real cuts in spending in the upcoming out-of-balance fiscal 2017-18 state budget.  There will be again budget deficits in six to nine months as more businesses and personal taxpayers move out of state.  There will be no mention of any plan to pay off Connecticut's $60 to $80 Billion dollars worth of short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities.  There is no discussion of the constitutionally mandated state spending cap that was ruled illegal by the Democrat Attorney General.
Connecticut voters and taxpayers need to recognize the fact the Governor and the Connecticut Democrat Party can not govern in any way, shape or form.  They can only legislate for themselves, their state unions and their political friends.  They despise Connecticut Taxpayers and Connecticut businesses.  The Governor and the Connecticut Democrat Party are useless in resolving our states economic problems.
A solution to our economic issues in Connecticut would be a general Taxpayers strike.  Connecticut Taxpayers would stop paying their state taxes thus it would strip our state government from its funds to enrich its political ruling class and truly force real budgetary negotiations along with real structural changes to take place in Hartford.  Alas I can only dream of a non corrupted state government in Hartford.
More of the same tax and spend lies will be spewed this week as Connecticut Taxpayers lose once again with still even higher taxes to try to manage.  All while Dan Malloy and the Connecticut Democrat Party lie and laugh at Connecticut.
It is horrific.

September 2 and No New Connecticut Budget

Again we have no new Connecticut budget.  Nothing new.  It is now September 2 and there is no new Connecticut budget.  64 days into the new fiscal year and there is still no new Connecticut budget.  Can you believe 64 days of total inaction and a lack of leadership by the Connecticut Democrat Party in preparing a mandated fiscal year budget?  In private industry you would be fired.  In Hartford you are rewarded in their political spoils system.  Now we know however there were several Republican budget proposals that the Democrats would not allow to reach the House or Senate floor for a vote.  No the Connecticut Democrat Party in their supposed bipartisanship does not allow for opposing views to be presented by the Connecticut Republican Party even though they represent 47% of Connecticut's legal citizens.  Obviously bipartisanship means with regards to budget discussions are only what the Connecticut Democrat Party will allow to be spoken through new and higher taxes.  Governor Malloy now is at war with the bulk of the state's cities and towns wanting to rob cash from fiscally conservative and responsible towns to give to the socialist and fiscally incompetent cities such as Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Haven.  He now states that cities and towns have been given too much over the years even though the state mandates draconian and fiscally irresponsible programs such binding arbitration that can not be paid for by these sames cities and towns.  To me there is such great irony and hypocrisy in the Governors remarks.
There is now talk in much higher state income taxes for those who are "rich" and for those who are middle class.  These income taxes I am sure will be retroactive to January 1 to extract more cash out of Connecticut "rich" citizens.  This higher income tax along with much higher sales taxes and a city sales tax will further the economic erosion of our once great state.
When will it all end?
These new taxes will not do anything to resolve the constant state budget deficits.
Again I will restate that lies are the rule in Hartford as our Democrat elected officials believe their constant lies of higher taxes and more spending will solve all of Connecticut's economic problems.  There is no accountability nor repercussions for the Connecticut Democrat Party and their dishonesty and myths about higher taxes.  Connecticut Taxpayers really deserve better.  This budget fiasco shows once again that the Connecticut Democrat Party is the true economic cancer of the state.

August 19 and No New Connecticut Budget

  Again we have no new Connecticut budget.  But we know now that Governor Malloy has come to the rescue of his Democrat Party voting blocks in the big cities by taking money away and or eliminating the Education Costs Sharing Grant from 85 cities and towns and giving it to poorer cities and towns in the state.  This grant is money that the state gives to all cities and towns in the state to help pay for some of the mandated state educational programs.  For example Wallingford would lose $19 million dollars in this funding which would have to be made up by raising property taxes almost immediately.  This is due to no new Connecticut budget.
At the same time Republicans for voicing their vehement opposition to Malloy’s plan and by the possible budget proposal by House Speaker Aresimowicz that includes higher sales taxes along with less exemptions and a new city sales tax are being condemned by Connecticut Democrats.   Republicans will not agree to any new tax increases.  One must remember that Connecticut Democrats slammed residents in the past six years the two highest tax increases in the states history that was to supposed to solve all of Connecticut’s economic woes.  It did not and now we are once again at a breaking point with a $5 billion dollar budget deficit along with $60 to $80 billion dollars worth of short and long-term debt and unfunded liabilities. 
Republican budget proposals have been completely ignored by Omnipotent Connecticut Democrat Party this session.  Republicans have been shut out of the budget process for six years now.  And the Connecticut Democrat Party has the audacity to vilify the Republicans? 
The Connecticut Democrat Party obviously has no respect for the Connecticut Taxpayer.  They believe their failed economic policies by choosing winners and losers in our state economy via taxpayer funded corporate welfare payments, along with constant new and higher taxes coupled with an economic love affair of state labor unions doing anything they want and given anything they want will somehow lead Connecticut out of its economic morass.  Do they think Connecticut Taxpayers are that stupid to believe this garbage?
One day Connecticut will have a new budget.  It will be more of the same, higher and new taxes, more spending for state labor unions and more political nepotism.  The Connecticut Democrat Party will be congratulating each other for their latest con job they pulled over the Connecticut Taxpayer.  They will reward themselves with more spoils from their conquests of the Connecticut Taxpayer.
It is sickening to say the least.

Happy Tax Freedom Day Connecticut Taxpayers Sunday May 21, 2017

Tax Freedom Day for Connecticut Taxpayers is May 21, 2017.  This is the day that Connecticut Taxpayers stop working to pay all of their local, state and federal tax burdens.  The date that we stop paying our taxes is dead last in the country as Connecticut Taxpayers have the highest tax burden in the country.  With the high taxes Connecticut Taxpayers pay now they will also be dealing with even more and higher taxes in 2017 as the state has a $5 billion dollar budget deficit along with an estimated $68 to $100 billion dollars of unfunded liabilities and short and long term bond obligations.  I am not able to obtain a "real" number for our unfunded liabilities and short and long term bonds obligations since it seems to be a secret in Hartford.  Therefore I estimate this number as best as I can. 
Economic reality is harsh for Connecticut Taxpayers since they are despised by the Connecticut Democrat Party for questioning the excesses of state employee salaries, pensions and benefits for both union and management workers.  These costs are out of control and part of our debt issues. The elitism political game that the Connecticut Democrat Party plays along with along with the total disregard for allowing the minority the Republican Party to be part of the legislative process has nurtured the economic demise of our state.
Thus in a state desperate for real economic solutions to its massive debt, lack of jobs and net migration of people out of Connecticut, the Connecticut Democrat Party turns to the norm new and higher taxes to solve this yearly crisis.
Look for a much longer Tax Freedom Day for Connecticut Taxpayers in 2018.
Look for much higher and new taxes in 2018.
Look for more people moving out of Connecticut in 2018.
Look for more Connecticut Democrat Party political appointments to high salary, pension and benefits jobs in 2018.
Look for more state credit downgrades in 2018.
Look for much more state borrowing in 2018.
Look for much higher property taxes in 2018.
And finally look for?  What I no longer know.  Connecticut has become a ruined state economically compliments of our state government led for too long by the Omnipotent  Connecticut Democrat Party.
