The great writings and the leadings of America’s founding fathers were unequivocally clear in that our government was to be governed by its people, or in effect, ruled by its people via its choice of elected officials. But to be clear, America-hating Connecticut has caused that design of government to perish and is now ruled not by elected officials, but by a coalition of Communists, Socialists, lobbyists, funders, fringe parts of the Democrat Socialists of America, a state run media, hedge funds and elected officials/political cronies/activists such as Ned Lamont, Chris Murphy, Richard Blumenthal, Rosa DeLauro, Jim Himes, Sean Scanlon, Stephanie Thomas, Erick Russell and William Tong, just to name a few. Connecticut is in a laughable and pathetic state which is due to this coalition of fanatics and psychopaths who claim to represent both illegal and legal citizens of Connecticut.

Connecticut Communist Socialist Democrat Czar-Tyrant-Supreme Ruler Attorney General William Tong is a case study in why he is unfit to serve and should be voted out of office. For if you disagree with him, especially if you endorse President Trump and his policies, you obviously are skating on thin ice with ruling Connecticut Democrat Party Politburo. A gentle criticism was levied from Republican Candidate for Attorney General, John Bolton    Last Thursday, Connecticut’s Attorney General – allegedly “the People’s Lawyer”– stood at a podium and told the people of Connecticut that if they stand with the President, they are — his words — “disqualified from serving in office.” He said it twice, and it was directed at all Republicans. Let every voter, of every party, hear that clearly: the state’s top law enforcement officer just declared that Americans are unfit to serve their neighbors simply because he may not agree with their politics. I'm John Bolton, and I'm running for Attorney General because Connecticut deserves an Attorney General who represents all of its people, regardless of their political beliefs. However, the fundamental issue remains. The citizens of Connecticut do not rule Connecticut in any way, shape, or form.

 

 Meanwhile, we turn back to the rambling dictates of Attorney General Tong: “Connecticut is under attack every single day, and we need to build an even stronger firewall to protect Connecticut families,” the 53-year-old Democrat declared during a conversation Thursday on WNHH FM’s “Dateline New Haven.” “I’ve been doing that for eight years, and have stood up to the most powerful forces, the biggest, most powerful corporate monopolies, the president of the United States. “I don’t care how big or bad you are. Many normal and legal Connecticut Taxpayers are both irate and livid about the daily exhibit of Tong's serious Trump Derangement Syndrome. Are we supposed to laugh him off or seek legal action against this Democrat bully? Are we supposed to petition for his psychiatric admission? One truly wonders. It is my opinion that Republican John Bolton represents a breath of fresh air for the office and that would be a much better solution than any of the above.

But Hey! When you are sitting at the top of the world, the rest of the world can roll along down a cliff. And there is one at the top of the world topping off the family coffers like the top guy. Governor Ned Lamont has been busy for eight years now bringing home the bacon for the Lamont family of hidden business, business deals and other assorted secret, non-transparent arrangements for the Oak HC hedge fund. Lamont does not answer questions on how much did his family's hedge fund profited from Infosys Limited, Digital Currency Group and its affiliates, "ADVANCECT", Boston Consulting Group, UNITE US (CT), Mt. Sinai Genomics, "Thermo Fisher Scientific", "Sema 4", " Core Informatics", "Ocrulus", "Urjanet", "1life Healthcare", "Galileo Health", "Castlight Health", "Paladina Health", "4-CT", and "VillageMD ““The Horsebarn Hill Investment Fund”, McKinsey, “CT Next”, and the Tidal River Fund, “Baby Bonds” portfolio, the UCONN Foundation, to name a few.  But hey that is old news. Now Lamont, in his latest campaign is hammering Republican Candidate for Governor Ryan Fazio for many of the horrific state ills that Lamont and his Democrat Party created. That is exceptionally brazen coming for the corrupted Lamont syndicate and his Democrat cronies. Mysteriously, Fazio, and his campaign has been silent on the attack front concerning the King’s corruption, racketeering, and malfeasance and one can let their mind run wild as to how and why this is the case.

But I may be misguided. For after all, Lamont "found" $50,000,000 to save rural Connecticut hospitals that somehow is the evil president Trump money-the President Trump William Tong despises but apparently loves when it can buy votes for Connecticut's Socialists.  My good friend Tony De Angelo on X exposed this latest Democrat fraud and covered it on his THIRTY WITH TONY video show; In the category of the @ryanfazio campaign and the @CTGOPneed to wake up, please see the below. The grants come from Connecticut’s share of the federal Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), a $50 billion, five-year initiative ($10 billion per year, 2026–2030) created by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA / H.R. 1 / Public Law 119-21), signed in July 2025.) From top to bottom Connecticut's Democrats are a bunch of incompetent, incoherent, and scandalous political tools. Contrary to their lies that are amplified by either weak (or non-existent) opposition, Connecticut, still has $100,000,000,000 to $150,000,000,000 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt along with unfunded liabilities. It has moved billions over dollars off budget over the years and hidden that from public view and comment. It has also established a multi-layered complex grift with state-funded non-profits that are completely exempt from Freedom of Information and real-time monitoring, with no legislative desire anywhere to change that. Politicians run and hide at the apropos demand for a citizen DOGE. There is no transparency and little truth being spoken in Hartford. Legal and disconnected Connecticut Taxpayers and voters are not pleased with their current Democrat One Party Rule in Hartford, despite biased election polls reflecting how poorly the Republican candidates are doing via a state-paid: poll effort to discourage voters. Voters are begging for some real leadership not incessant gibberish of their hatred of all things Republican and President Trump, for regardless of how the state Republican Party may feel, 44% of the state voted for him in 2024. Is it a wonder? Not at all. The unending and relentless criticisms of Democrats while offering no solutions, coupled with their unyielding support of illegal aliens is truly a spectacle of failed leadership and a violation of both the state and federal constitution.

Usually, it takes time to right bad situations. Things do not improve overnight. There are much better candidates that Connecticut Voters can vote for in November than these Socialist crybabies of hatred. Vote for them, and for for the last time, start Connecticut on a path of changing its awful direction where change is so critically needed.

Excessive Taxation: It Just Would Not Be Connecticut Without It

 

In early 1966 The Beatles learned they faced a 95% top tax rate under Harold Wilson’s Labour government. George Harrison, who had grown up poor, was stunned that most of their new wealth was disappearing. In a February,1966 interview. he compared Wilson to the Sheriff of Nottingham, and was moved upon to write the following song lyrics:

Two things in the above historical scenario are extremely fascinating to me. The first is that politicians through the ages have felt that just about every social problem can be solved by increasing taxes and types of taxes. The second is that these same politicians never seem to be fazed by the departure of citizens from their region as the result of that increased taxation.

Just like George Harrison sixty years ago, and thousands of Connecticut residents today, the best, the brightest, and the most productive leave places where their very lifeblood is sucked from them by government. In Connecticut, the primary blame falls at the feet of Democrats for this economic wreckage, while a tepid at best Republican contingent has provided scant pushback (or tacit acceptance ) of these destructive policies.

 

First let us examine the Democrats. The Connecticut Democrat Party love taxes, and to tax.  Why they have not yet taxed the air we breathe is beyond me.  Therefore, let us look at some of these taxes are embraced, nurtured and raised on a regular basis to support a bloated, deficit ridden Democrat state budget, gross Administrative State incompetency and over-compensation, and long-term debt.

 

Business taxes? One may wonder how any business stays in business in Connecticut with the taxes businesses pay.  In addition, please note that Connecticut's Business taxes rank near the highest in the country while the Business climate ranks in the bottom five in the country.  

Let’s start our list as is stated on

Corporation Business Tax: C-corporations pay a flat rate of 7.5% with a minimum tax of $250, plus a 10% surtax for large corporations. Pass-Through Entity (PTE) Tax: S-corporations, partnerships, and LLCs treated as partnerships face a tax rate of 6.99%.

Sales and Use Tax: The state general sales and use tax rate is 6.35%, applied to retail goods and certain services.

Personal Income Tax: Sole proprietors and single-member LLCs report business profits on personal income tax returns, with progressive rates from 2% to 6.99%. 

Unemployment Insurance Tax: Employers must pay this state tax to cover eligible unemployed workers and have often paid for those collecting illegally as it is well-known that the state bureaucracy is far too inept to catch cheaters.  (Just ask any business owner).

If you are a business in the state, you are collecting a great deal of different taxes, all requiring different forms to fill out and pay from. Also,

there is always confusion as to why gasoline and diesel prices are so high in Connecticut.  Walk up and ask this question of any Democrat, and you will be condescendingly told that these taxes are the fault of President Trump.  If a sane individual looks more closely Connecticut drivers pay a 25 cent per gallon excise tax, an 8.1% special gross receipts/earnings tax per gallon, and 18.4 Federal excise tax per gallon.  Thus 51.4 cents of each gallon of gas you buy is tax.  

 

And since all goods are brought to you by a truck, that all factors into "affordability" And Donald Trump has had absolutely nothing to do with any of that issue of "affordability" in Connecticut.

 

 Do you dislike that? Well, it gets even worse. In Connecticut. there are over 850 different business licenses and permits one needs to apply for when either starting a business and/ or working in one of these 850 different areas in the state.  The question that now needs to be asked (and avoided by everyone in politics) is why so many illegal aliens were given Drivers licenses in Connecticut, and how many of the illegal aliens who currently reside in Connecticut have avoided getting any of these permits/licenses?

 

Connecticut Taxpayers are taxed on mostly everything they consumer and/ or work for.  Connecticut's Utopian State Income Tax (which was going to solve all of the state's budget problems starting from 1991), is progressive with a 6.99% graduated rate.  Tax exemptions are minimal except for those who are here illegally and do not pay (but yet can have a driver’s license and presumably be allowed to vote).  While working, you will pay a Connecticut Paid Leave funded by an employee payroll contribution tax of 0.5% of your total eligible wages up to your Social Security base limit.  Yes, you get to pay a tax on "paid leave" even though you may never use it and the bulk of the money goes to administration costs of implementing it (Read: paid political patronage jobs). 

 

Sales tax is charged on an excessive amount of different items.  But yet, as a bone thrown to Connecticut Taxpayers, for one week only, only once a year is "Tax Free Week"!  This allows the peasants better known as Connecticut Taxpayers, an exemption applies to individual clothing and footwear items priced under $300.  Items include are everyday clothing, footwear, along with backpacks and athletic cleats.  (Gee…isn’t Connecticut great!)

 

Electricity costs are one of the highest in the country.  A big reason is the "Public Benefits Charge" which according Eversource is the "portion includes costs mandated by the state and federal government for financial assistance and energy efficiency programs, purchasing renewable and carbon-free electricity, and funding solar and electric vehicle incentives to help make it easier to take advantage of clean energy options." For many this charge accounts for 20% of their bill and should also be considered a tax.  In trying to see where this money is going along with how much greater energy efficiency is progressing, is difficult to ascertain in true Connecticut Non-transparent fashion. 

Even though this is supposed to be something different, one must then conclude that this is yet another Connecticut tax.

 

But wait! You ARE happier in Connecticut than other states in the country according to a bombshell report! https://www.wtnh.com/news/connecticut/connecticut-ranks-in-top-10-happiest-states/  From the report; Connecticut ranks in the top 10 happiest states, according to a new WalletHub study! The study weighed internal and external factors, such as the number of adults suffering from depression, adequate sleep rate, suicide rate, number of work hours, volunteer rate, separation and divorce rate, safety and the share of adults feeling active and productive. Connecticut was ranked as the seventh happiest state in America!  In reading the metrics of the study, there was indication how these results were generated. As one X commentator noted:   Happiness is much different than most states. Happiness is waking up to see your car wasn’t stolen in the night. “Happiness is knowing that the CT General Assembly is not in session and as such another new tax wasn’t shoved down our throats. Connecticut is drastically over-taxed and even with that, continues with $100-$150 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt, along with myriad and massive unfunded liabilities.  Connecticut is drastically over-taxed and still ranks as a "Top Five" state in high taxes.  Connecticut is drastically over-taxed and still ranks as Bottom Five state for business climate and conditions.  Connecticut has a highly redundant, error-prone, and overpaid Administrative State that neither party has proposed reworking for decades. The model is failed, and has failed for decades. At what level of taxation will the state debt be paid off and a real balanced budget exist?  100%? 200%? More?  Does any politician even know? (Or care?)

 

Of course, in a sane world, the best hope for turning the tide of such an oppressive regime would be the stalwart voice of the opposing political party. But unfortunately, Connecticut is not a sane world, and the same decades long situation exists here as well, in reverse. This past week the Connecticut Republican Party unveiled their “affordability” tax plan which promised at best spot relief and no fundamental changes to a wretched and failed system badly needing restructuring from the top, down. https://ctmirror.org/2026/09/09/gop-legislators-ct-tax-relief/

Predictably, even this lukewarm at-best proposal received major pushback from economically insane Democrats that first blamed Donald Trump, and secondly, decried any proposal that would disturb their well-seated food chain. Meanwhile, Republicans, rather than assailing the administrative bollix of Connecticut government and the flattening, lowering and simplification of tax rates, chose to argue minutia with Democrats rather than a severe full-throttle approach that is so desperately needed if Connecticut ever hopes to be the least bit economically attractive in the future. It must not be unmentioned that this was a Republican party that deliberately and inexplicably excluded a competent and formidable gubernatorial candidate proposing the framework of a simplified tax reduction plan, without explanation or reason. This glaring question remains  with an answer of deafening silence.

 

 

But Republican failures are a minority failure in the face of a gross horrible morass. Real facts do not lie.  The super-majority Connecticut Democrat Party lies and pontificates daily with a bureaucratic maze of bureaucracy, fraud, waste and inefficiency. It has created a Connecticut where lies are truth and truth are lies, Connecticut Taxpayer be damned.  The only hope would be a Republican Party that would turn the corner and drastically rework the cancerous mess of Connecticut and its putrid and burdensome tax structure. This has not happened for decades.

 

But even so, kindly tell me why you are voting for Democrats again in November? Possibly, it is because you hate Donald Trump, who had absolutely nothing to do with the economic horrors of Connecticut, but yet, reduced your Federal taxes by 20% and promises more cuts in the future if Congress cooperates. But if that is not acceptable to you,keep hating Trump, watch your insurance bills skyrocket, watch your cities crumble and continue to pay dearly for the colossal horrors continually brought to you under the Democrat reign of perpetual failure.

The Use of Incompetence As A Weapon: The Connecticut Democrat of 2026

I never cease to be amazed at the extensive problems that the Connecticut Democrat Party faces each week especially during election season. However, these problems are only seen through reporting by non-state-run media and citizen journalists.

It is amazing to see the mess that the Connecticut Democrat Party is in, and many will wonder why they are a majority party in the state. And like in the movie “Body Heat,” the Connecticut Democrat is incredibly skilled in using incompetence as a weapon.

Here is a list of issues that should be answered by Governor Ned Lamont and his Connecticut Democrat Party but will not be:

1. CONNECTICUT ILLEGAL ALIEN KILLS OHIOAN. (LAMONT: WHAT? ME WORRY?)

 

It was disclosed by Republican Ohio United States Senator Bernie Moreno that Connecticut has granted 60,000 drivers licenses to illegal aliens in an ostensible illegal “Motor Voter” effort, one of which killed 29-year-old Ohioan in a reckless driving accident this past week (https://www.moreno.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Letter-to-Governor-Lamont.pdf.)  Senator Moreno blasted Governor Lamont in a justifiably scathing letter and demanded an answer as to why illegal aliens are given licenses, among other inferences to Lamont’s vacuous governance skills. Even though there is a fixed demand for answers by Sen. Moreno, there has been no response from Lamont and company. It is quite apparent that human life is not important to the Connecticut Democrat Party given their defense of illegal aliens, abortion full term, gender mutilation, and anti-victim stances in crimes. But as far as the Democrat world is concerned, the King has spoken, and the obeisant state-run media will not say another peep about it. (Once again, citizen, be damned).

2. NO WATER IN PUERTO RICO? KING NED, THE UNACCOUNTABLE, WILL HELP YOU.

 

However, no water for many in Waterbury? Suck it up, city residents. Democrat Party led Waterbury has massive issues with their water mains breaking constantly while they are supposedly upgrading their systems. Lamont has never commented on this debacle. However he stated, “We are standing by, Lamont  said. “We got the water companies ready to step in when asked to help with infrastructure. The Connecticut National Guard is ready to step up as needed. When asked, we are ready for that.” (https://www.wshu.org/connecticut-news/2026-09-03/ct-aid-puerto-rico-water-crisis). Maybe the Connecticut National Guard could be called into Democrat Party led Hartford and New Haven and attack crime and criminals that impacts the legal citizens who wish to live in those cities without fear of death by walking out of their houses at night. Maybe the four-star DOT crew that mismanaged the Oxford flooding disaster in 2024 can be brought in to send water to both Puerto Rico and Waterbury, as creating an excess of water is something they are good at.

But as is usual, Ned speaks, the state-paid media acts, his dutiful scriveners record, and this will be the last of what anyone has to say about it. For after all, “The Unaccountable” has spoken.

3. WHO NEEDS TIRES AND RIMS FOR YOUR CAR, ANYWAY?

 

 

If you wake up to go to work and see that your tires and rims are missing off your car in Democrat Party led Hartford and other surrounding Democrat Party led towns. “It’s been more than once it’s happened and they’ve taken my rear lights off my car before, it happens a lot around here,” Gladstone Hamblin of Hartford said. Hamblin woke up in the morning to find his car on the ground with the wheels missing. Security video showed three men unbolting the tires in a matter of minutes and wheeling them down the street. “It’s a problem for them. It’s a problem for us,” Jose Ventura of No Limit Auto Clinic said. Ventura runs the mechanic shop on Franklin Avenue, and he’s got high-quality security cameras monitoring his shop, while across the street a Mercedes sits up on milk crates, its wheels also missing. But as stated above, let us make sure those Connecticut National Guard troops avoid Hartford and are shipped out of state to help others, not Connecticut Taxpayers. Or let us call in the DOT Bridge Engineers to flood the streets of Hartford in an encore performance from 2024, so that these criminals can’t steal tires. Ridiculous, you say? The fact remains that if Lamont made such a proposal his dutiful state-run scriveners would report the same as fact with a straight face.

Again, The Unaccountable Has Spoken. (End of Story).

4. WHERE IS THE CASH? WHO THE HECK KNOWS? AND WHO CARES?

Who cares? Certainly not the Connecticut Democrat Party as a ripping 128-page audit has been released and Hartford Democrat State Senator Doug McCrory used the Blue Hills Civic Association to spend/waste $2.4 million of Connecticut Taxpayers monies that were given freely to organizations and nonprofits with no accountability.  This is a recurring pattern for the Connecticut Democrat Party and the out of control and should be abolished Department of Economic and Community Development. Many wonder why with this rip off of $2.4 million as to why McCrory and his well-provided associates and lady friends are not in jail. Meanwhile, one of the largest beneficiaries of the state grant funding refused to cooperate with the auditors entirely, citing the ongoing FBI investigation. Sonserae Cicero, who is being investigated because of her alleged relationship with McCrory, declined to turn over any records to auditors even though her companies, which operate under different versions of the name SHEBA, received $1.2 million through the Blue Hills Civic Association. “In response to document requests, legal counsel for Ms. Cicero indicated that, based on publicly available information suggesting a potential ongoing federal investigation into related matters, SHEBA would not provide any documents or information absent a legal obligation to do so,” the auditors wrote. Cicero did not respond to a phone call seeking comments for this story. The auditors noted that Cicero signed a contract that granted the state and its auditors access to the company’s records “upon request.” (https://ctmirror.org/2026/09/02/blue-hills-civic-association-audit/). To put a cherry on the sundae, the  should be abolished Connecticut Department of Community Economic Development worked hours to state the following; “Asked if DECD would pursue legal action to force SHEBA to open its books, spokesperson Jim Watson said, “DECD has taken all reasonable steps through available mechanisms to recover and/or hold any funding allocated to entities identified in the audits and will continue to evaluate whether any additional action is merited or likely to lead to the recovery of funds.”  I would understand that this means DECD will do nothing, as it normally does when it comes to accountability of its funds. As an aside, I will also understand that the state Republican contingent will not campaign on abolishing this putrid, incompetent, and wasteful agency despite the wishes of thousands of taxpayers wanting to see something (anything) resembling common sense and economic sanity in this fantastic incompetency land of one-party Democrat rule.

But the Gold Standard of Connecticut governance is blather rather than boldness, and acquiescence in the place of aggressiveness and who the hell cares about ordinary citizens, anyway?

 5. THE BEST $250,000 CONNECTICUT COULD EVER SPEND, IS FOR A REPORT THAT IS WRITTEN BY A FAILED HACK THAT WILL PRODUCE NO RESULTS WHATSOEVER.

 

Looking into the bid contract of Miguel Cardona's for his company, Cardona Solutions, LLC, one sees the great Democrat Party machine at work helping support political hacks, especially if they are down on their luck and need a few bucks.  This contract and Democrat Cardona's career was discussed by me and Tony De Angelo, this past Tuesday on the “94.9 Power Hour” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zomxmKkPaMA). Connecticut Taxpayers spend enormous amounts of money on job formation, job creation, and job training already with little to no results, as Connecticut is a bottom five in many economic categories. This report will do nothing once again but waste more money in a state that has $100 to $150 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt along with unfunded liabilities. But who cares about any of that when there is always another taxpayer to overtax, and another borrowing and mandate to create in the Land Of Steady Failures?

Here are five areas for aggressive assault in the upcoming election for what has been a docile and obedient state Republican Party to date. All five items are related to an out-of-control, inept, and corrupted Connecticut Democrat Party. It is the record that it is running on and it is a record that it should lose the election on. Add to this mix an incompetent United States Senator Chris Murphy, walking/driving through the state condemning all things Republican and President Trump, while no Republican has been present to dog him continually along the way. Because if there were, Chris would lose what little mind he has defending his own party's corruption and ineptness for the five above-mentioned debacles, and the resulting meltdown would be a sight to behold.

 

Ned Lamont and his malfeasant political cronies should be prosecuted for their actions, and not be reelected. Meanwhile, the surviving Republicans in this state should dog Democrats every day fighting and dogging Democrats tooth and nail about these sickening failures. For Connecticut Taxpayers have had enough of Democrat fraud, incompetence, and callous indifference to the citizens of Connecticut and are waiting for someone (anyone) to finally turn the corner in putting an end to this sordid and sick saga.
