United States Senator Richard Blumenthal's Energy Crisis Has Crippled America

Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal has to be constantly shocked at the current "polls" showing him in an unfavorable light for what he thought was going to be a runaway re-election and crowning of another six years of being a do-nothing Senator.  Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal obviously must go on the offensive.  So what better subject to be upset about but the new energy crisis and high energy prices that Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal along with Joe Biden and his corrupted company help to create in the name of "clean" energy which is not economically viable at this time.  Obviously Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal was told by his handlers that somehow Connecticut voters were somewhat upset with gasoline prices of over $5 a gallon, diesel fuel at over $6 a gallon and home heating oil at over $6 a gallon.  Thus Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal came to the rescue with a meaningless photo op press conference stating that he would get to the bottom of these high prices and save the day.  Unfortunately the day is long gone economically to be saved.

Does Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal remember during President Trump's Administration that energy prices were much lower?  Does Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal remember that during this time frame America was energy independent and exported energy to the rest of the world? Does Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal remember the massive amounts of employment and economic growth that took place during this time frame?  Does Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal remember surpluses in balance of payments in trade during this time?  Does Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal remember how much overall economic growth took place in our economy right up to the planned pandemic his party helped to create?  To me it seems that Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal has become very forgetful over the past 18 months of the current economic debacle his party has created.  Is it a sign of his age?

Thus another photo op, another press conference, more rhetoric, more song and dance routines, more excuses, more yelling, more stoic Senate hearings, more pictures in the press, and much more blaming everyone except himself and his corrupted Democrat Party for creating runaway inflation and the new planned energy crisis of 2022 when America was energy independent 18 months ago.  Democrat/Communist United States Senator Richard Blumenthal owns this issue and crisis.  He has failed miserably his state and country as United States Senator.  The price gouging is being done by himself and his corrupted Democrat Party.  He has lost the upcoming election.  He has failed our state and country.  It is 1776 all over again.

Ned Lamont's TCI Crisis WIth More Democrat Party Lies Forthcoming

TCI is the initials of yet a new gimmick to raise taxes and decrease the quality of life in Connecticut.  TCI stands for the Transportation and Climate Initiative which will supposedly lower carbon emissions while in theory rationing diesel and gasoline in Connecticut by increasing their costs dramatically through the forcing of buying credits by distributors and suppliers in order to sell diesel and gasoline in the state.   This in turn rations the amount of diesel and gasoline that can legally be sold in the state and apparently with the guidelines the state will have to follow will also create massive shortages of it.   This will basically penalize all drivers and truckers who actually drive in the state.  The goal is apparently to eliminate fossil fuels in the state and or make them so expensive that somehow by magic the state no longer uses fossil fuels and or somehow uses only all renewable sources of energy all in the name of the never ending climate control/change that is being force fed the public by climate activists.   Many of these same elected climate activists who have just used massive amounts of fossil fuels to travel to a climate conference in Glasgow Scotland to tell us peons to stop using all fossil fuels.  However we know that all of these elitist elected officials who have wasted all of this energy to get to Scotland just to tell us we are wasting energy (not them) and are contributing to the end of the world are right and we are naturally wrong if we have a differing view.

This is what I can gather as to how this law will work since it seems to be a secret as to what the law actually entails.  Estimates as to how high energy prices would go are anyone's guess.  The Connecticut Democrat Party states it will only be a few dollars more a month while in reality I can see a 25 to 50 cent per gallon increase in the cost of diesel and gasoline in the short term much higher prices in the long run.

There was some good news but it was short lived.  Executive Order Governor Ned Lamont said he would not support the bill at this time since gasoline prices are skyrocketing in the state due to the incoherent and economically devastating energy policies of the feeble Biden/Harris Administration that has shut down America's energy independence since January of this year through the shutting down of pipelines to appease his Socialist Democrats in Washington.  Over the past couple days Lamont has changed his mind sensing rebellion from his Socialist Democrats as he now embraces the TCI if the bill passes the Legislature.  He has now gone on record that he would sign the bill.  Connecticut's environment would be saved in the short term as more people will elect to move out of the state and or stop working all together no longer driving to productive jobs thus stopping their use of this evil and dangerous fossil fuel.

I continue to see great irony in the state with the Connecticut Democrat Party in power.  This TCI law is now the biggest issue in the state not the net migration of people moving out of the state, not the over $150 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities the state has, not the  massive illegal drug problem the state has, not the rampant and unchecked crime wave that is now never ending in the state, not the excessive mental health problems that our young people are having in the state with their forced mask wearing in schools, not the 30 year recession the state still is in, not addressing the massive tax burden the state inflicts upon its Taxpayers and most importantly not the unethical behavior and disregard for laws that the Connecticut Democrat Party embraces in the state.

No the new issue (besides the non stop fear based, profit driven, Ned Lamont family's hedge fund  Covid-19 crisis) is climate change.  In a state that is at the bottom of most economic and business categories, one of the highest in the country in taxes, will eventually lead the country in crime and theft and has the over $150 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities that will bankrupt the state in the long run, climate change is the issue in 2022.  Please remember that when next year you are paying $5 a gallon for gas, $6 a gallon for diesel and $4 a gallon for fuel oil.  And remember the new lies that the Connecticut Democrat Party are coming up with their TCI crisis.

Connecticut's Newest Gasoline Tax:Coming Soon

Connecticut's Liberal Democrat Party are hoping for yet more destruction of the state economy by imposing a new regional gasoline tax to combat supposed climate change in the state.  The Yankee Institute reported this week that a regional cap and trade system for gasoline distribution initiated by the little known Transportation and Climate Initiative would force gasoline distributors to purchase carbon allowances in an auction type format and that money (less expenses?) would be used to invest more into failed mass transit systems, failed electric vehicles, etc.  All in the name of supposed climate change.  This proposal was developed through the Georgetown Climate Center in conjunction with the Transportation and Climate Initiative who is funded by some of the following groups:the Barr Foundation, Energy Foundation, Hewlett Foundation,  John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, John Merck Fund, New York Community Trust, Town Creek Foundation, and its core funder, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
I did not realize that as a Connecticut Taxpayer and legal citizen that I am now subjected to forced mandates by this group and do not have a say whatsoever in this new policy.  I personally thought that Connecticut still had legally elected State Representatives and Senators that voted on bills that were legally signed into law by the Governor as per our state constitution.  I do not remember when we ceded our energy taxes and policies to the Georgetown Climate Center in conjunction with the Transportation and Climate Initiative?  However in 2010 then Governor Dan Malloy agreed in principal to these plans.  Governor Lamont apparently has the ability to decree this as law without a vote.
And how will this new founded windfall of cash be distributed?  Who gets what?  Who decides the Georgetown Climate Center in conjunction with the Transportation and Climate Initiative?
I personally have never seen a more ridiculous plan trying to be implemented in Connecticut.  And what is the actual tax?  Reports are estimating 12 to 14 cents a gallon currently.  Is there a limit to this tax?  How does the tax get collected?  Can the tax be diverted in Connecticut like all other gasoline and diesel taxes and lumped into the state's general fund?
If we look at the state's failure with its "Green Bank" which taxes Connecticut consumers electric bills helping the state have the highest electric rates in the country through a similar carbon tax-why do we now need this new carbon tax?  And this fund has been raided by the Connecticut Democrat Party to pay for budget deficits and not "clean air".
Once again legal Connecticut Taxpayers and consumers are being led down the road to economic oblivion with this new gasoline tax.  By the way Republican New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has rejected the Transportation and Climate Initiative four days ago for his state and will participate in it.
It is too bad the free markets are not allowed to come up with their own solutions for this supposed liberal problem.  It is too bad the Connecticut Democrat Party continues to ruin Connecticut economically.

Connecticut: No Tolls Today, No Tolls Tomorrow, No Tolls Ever

No tolls.
Not today, not tomorrow nor ever in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Democrat Party is trying to manipulate the debate on tolls.  But in my opinion they are losing.  The reason is that there is a massive amount of legal Connecticut Taxpayers who see the scam that these new tolls are and will become.
The new tolls program has no transparency.  Trying to get any information on them is limited and not readily given out to the public.  We are just told that they are needed, shut up and accept them.  Just like the state income tax in 1991.
The new tolls are needed to provide $100 billion dollars in transportation spending according to Governor Lamont.  Where does he develop this figure from?  What projects are being added and or repaired?  How many years will it take to achieve $100 billion dollars in toll revenue after expenses?  Ten years? Thirty years?  100 years?  Doesn't Connecticut already have $100 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities?  Is that economic issue going to be addressed or does it now mean we will have $200 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities?
The new tolls will cost how much to implement?  Connecticut already is at the top in the country for administrative costs to maintain our crumbling road and bridge system thus I will assume this will be the same for the costs of tolls.
The new tolls will cost Connecticut drivers how much per mile?  This figure changes daily it seems.  Will there be congestion tolling?  At what times?  What roads?  With 53 plus tolls being proposed it seems to me there will be massive shifts of costs everywhere and at all times while driving.  Thus you will never know how much it will cost to drive.
Connecticut already has a massive amount of taxes that Connecticut drivers pay already.  A secret 8.1% gross earnings tax on fuel which equals roughly 18.8-cents per gallon of tax, along with a 25- cent gallon tax equals 43.8-cents per gallon of taxes that drivers pay for each gallon of gas they buy. The 25-cent per gallon tax alone takes in over $505 million dollars in revenue for the state.  Then add all the other state taxes one pays for motor oils, tires and maintenance of their vehicles and you have an enormous cost to operate a vehicle in Connecticut.
Tolls if implemented will only go up rapidly and often.  Bridges and roads will not be repaired.  Toll money will be funneled somewhere in the non-transparent spending schemes of the Connecticut Democrat Party.  The lies will begin just as they did for the state income tax when that was seen as an epic economic failure contributing to the economic downfall of Connecticut.  It is logical to assume that the Connecticut state government has massive spending problems.  Tolls will not solve it.  Cut spending dramatically on management and union salaries, benefits and pensions.  Cut all state agencies budgets by 10 to 15%.  Have these supposedly exceptional Commissioners find a way to save Connecticut Taxpayers monies.  This all falls on deaf ears.
No tolls today, no tolls tomorrow and no tolls ever.

Connecticut Democrats Love Affair With New And Higher Taxes

The Connecticut Democrat Party has a love affair with new and higher taxes.  In 2019 there seems to be an avalanche of new and higher tax measures being shoved down the throats of Connecticut Taxpayers.
For instance tolls seem to be the new answer to Connecticut's horrific and non maintained road and bridge system.  The state taxes on fuel that we pay already do little to maintain these brutal roads and bridges.  Tolls like the state income tax is the new answer to all of the state's spending problems.  Unfortunately what the Connecticut Democrat Party is oblivious to is how this will dramatically increase the cost of living in the state.  The cost to transport any goods in and out of the state will go up as the costs of tolls will be passed along by companies to consumers.  The costs to commute to work will go up-will all employers reimburse their employees for these additional costs?  I highly doubt that however I know there will be massive exemptions written in the bill so that elected officials/family members of elected officials, etc. will be exempt from the tolls.  I am also confident that tolls paid (?) will be added to House and Senate members expense accounts and in adding to their pension estimates.
Another example is a statewide property tax on motor vehicles that rewards the politically corrupted and economically inept cities of our state.  Property taxes on personal vehicles will some how be paid to the state and then those monies redistributed to the towns and cities.  Thus high tax cities such as Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Haven get rewarded with lower car taxes while low taxed towns such as Wallingford get to pay more.  Also included in this bill is a state wide one mill real estate tax on all property that also will be redistributed to these same cities.  Thus property taxes in Connecticut will increase.  One can conclude also that this one mill rate will go up each year as has the state income tax has gone up over the years as there is never enough revenue to spend in Hartford.
When you go grocery and or regular shopping you will either pay a tax on the plastic bags that you use and get from the store or they will be banned altogether.  This will increase the costs of shopping that have been increased already due to the tolls.  One will have to bring bags that consumers will have to buy in order to pack their groceries.
There are other taxes being discussed along with new licensing and user fees that are talked about each year also.
The economic reality will be after all these new taxes and fees are enacted by the Connecticut Democrat Party there will no cuts in state spending.  Connecticut will still have $100 billion dollars or more in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities.  It will not take any actions about the excessive salaries, pensions and benefits that are paid to both state management and union workers.  It is the same stale economic story over and over again, year in and year out.
The Connecticut Democrat Party has a love affair with new and higher taxes.  They hate opposition to new and higher taxes.  Most importantly they love to see Connecticut Taxpayers suffer economically.
The Connecticut Democrat Party enjoys our state being last in all economic categories in the country so long as they can manipulate the state government to their political advantage for themselves, their families and friends.   Really that is all that matters in Connecticut.  And it has been like this since 1991.

Connecticut's New Tolls:Protest Against Bills #389 and #5391

Connecticut's government really can never get enough money to run a streamlined and efficient operation.  If one looks at the total disrepair of its bridges and roads an argument can be made as to where did the $2,266,955,203.52 the Connecticut Department of Transportation spent in fiscal year 2016-17 actually go to?  Examining the very complex DOT budget is a difficult task with money being channeled in many different ways in general terms.  Thus it is nearly impossible to see the money flow that is actually used to maintain our bridge and road system in the state.  Taxpayers do know Connecticut has one of the highest budgets for transportation in the country along with one of the highest administrative costs to run this department in the country.
Now Connecticut Taxpayers are trying to grasp two new legislative raised bills that enact tolls that are estimated to produce $1 billion dollars in toll revenue, 72% which would be paid by Connecticut residents.  The raised bills are: # 389 "AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE CONNECTICUT TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY."  To establish the Connecticut Transportation Authority to develop and implement electronic tolling systems., and raised bill #5391 "AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE." To require the Commissioner of Transportation to conduct studies and satisfy other requirements pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act for the purposes of developing electronic tolling systems on the highways of this state.  This Transportation Authority would have the ability to install tolls, collect toll revenue, borrow money, own and lease land, and manage maintenance and construction on tolled highways.  The new authority would have a 15 member board of directors that is appointed both directly and indirectly by the Governor.  The hope for the Connecticut Democrat Party is that they can pass these bills in this current short session, enact immediately the Commission, and make 15 Democrat political patronage appointments to run the Commission.  It is a socialist's dream Commission.  Political appointees telling Connecticut drivers and Taxpayers how much they will be paying for tolls.  State politicians seen to have forgotten how much already Connecticut drivers and Taxpayers pay in gasoline/diesel taxes, tire taxes, road use taxes and other miscellaneous taxes for the privilege of driving on our horrific bridge and road system.  There seems to be little result in the monies being used to maintain our current bridge and road system thus why we are going to be taxed more with no guarantee that the money will actually be used to maintain our bridge and road system?  To me it is a way to extract another $750,000,000 or more tax monies from Connecticut Taxpayers in now new tolls and still not have any guarantees that our bridge and road system would be improved and or maintained.
Connecticut Taxpayers need to protest again raised bills #389 and #5391.  Why should Connecticut Taxpayers allow yet a new politically motivated agency to be formed that will only further the economic demise of this state along with increasing its costs of living?  Enough is enough.

Connecticut's Lack Of Fairness To Its Remaining Taxpayers

In his last State of the Union address, Governor Dan Malloy embarked upon a typical liberal Connecticut Democrat progressive and utopian vision of tolls everywhere, much higher and new taxes along with the same rhetoric of affordable mandated health care, higher minimum wages along with a much lengthier paid family leave law.  He threw in the usual cuts in municipal aid to "wealthier" towns to give more more money to the Democrat run economically failing cities such as Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven.  The broken down XL Center gets yet more money to prop it open.  He harped on these liberal concepts as part of a "Connecticut Fairness" plan which ties in with the Connecticut Democrat Party plan of a "Values Agenda" (whatever that may be). Not a word was mentioned in his speech about the budget deficits nor the massive amount of short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities the state has in 2018.
Malloy thus has spent both terms as Governor raising taxes and forcing an even more failed liberal agenda upon the remaining Connecticut Taxpayers left in the state.  Does he realize how bad the state's economy is and that we are still yet out of the recession?`
But the question must be asked after listening to this speech is "How is this budget fair to Connecticut Taxpayers?" In my analysis all this new budget does is once again raises taxes, makes driving in Connecticut especially expensive with a seven cent increase in the gas tax tax along with congestion price tolls on all highways and secondary roads in the state and expands taxes elsewhere.  The new budget keeps up social welfare programs for those in the state here illegally along with a much higher minimum wage (which will eliminate more jobs in the state).  Why does "Fairness" apply in this budget only to those who are politically connected such as state labor unions, the ruling political hierarchy and those here in the state illegally?  What happened to "Fairness" to those who are legal citizens of the state and pay an excessive amount of state taxes to live here?  Are they not entitled to any benefits of state government?  And how has this Connecticut Democrat Party liberal agenda worked so far in the state since the Malloy Administration began in 2011?  Haven't we seen an enormous amount of businesses and citizens move out of the state since 2011?  How many tax increases has the state had? Why is the short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities of the state now $60 to $80 billion dollars, a massive increase since 2011?  What is the plan to pay off this debt?
Fairness does not exist in the Connecticut Democrat Party in 2018.  This budget is a cesspool of higher taxes and failed programs that can only further the economic decline of the state.  It is economic garbage.  Yet this is the liberal agenda that the Connecticut Democrat Party will be running upon throughout the state in the upcoming elections this November.  And this why all Democrats need to be voted out of office on election day from top to bottom.  Dan Malloy's policies have failed completely since 2011.  The Connecticut Democrat Party's policies have failed completely since 2011.   Enough is enough.
