Three Years Later, and Still No Answers To Ned Lamont's Sema 4 Debacle

Connecticut's secret Democrat and illegally-used non-profits are a fascinating look at the non- transparency of Ned Lamont's Democrat Connecticut Party's inner workings.  They are very difficult to understand and follow.  They are designed that way so that Connecticut's Taxpayers are kept in a perpetual state of confusion and ignorance while profits are being made off them, and other abuses are fashioned from them.  For three years now, Tony De Angelo, in his weekly radio segment on the Lee Elci Show heard on 94.9 WJJF, New London, CT has been discussing these abuses in these non-profits and their agreements especially with Sema4.  Connecticut embraces a hybrid of quasi public/private organization having ties to state government and at the same time having no accountability to Connecticut Taxpayers to show where money has traveled.   I have written about Sema4 several times over the past three years.  Given the perpetual information failure of Connecticut state-run media, coupled with the willful blindness (and/or) ignorance of almost every elected state official on this issue, it is time to revisit it once again.

Sema4 is an excellent example of a complex maze of secret agreements, offshore tax-haven partnerships, personal data mining, and a general rip-off of Connecticut Taxpayer's monies.  Ned Lamont and his family's hedge fund, Oak HC/FT Partners were heavily invested in Sema4.   By way of review, Sema4 obtained $45,150,000 in fast and easy state cash with little to no oversight in Covid-19 and Genomics testing from the State of Connecticut.  It received a $15 million dollar 2% interest-only "sweetheart" loan made by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development with little oversight, of which over 40% of said loan was forgiven by hitting bogus propped-up "job targets" paid for by the very loan proceeds made to Sema4.  It had loans and unknown billings and payments that in many cases continue not to be reconciled nor disclosed as of today.  Last year, Sema4 laid off 250 Connecticut employees and its Branford location closed.  It then moved to Maryland.   And many questions still remain unanswered such as is the loan being paid back?  Why was the loan given in the first place?  Was it given due to the involvement of Oak HC/FT Partners to prop Oak's investment and IPO using state tax money?   Is this a conflict of interest for Ned Lamont's family hedge fund, Mount Sinai Genomics/Sema4, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development that a Governor in office can allow this type of agreement to be in effect? What happened to all the information and data with regards to the undisclosed Genomics testing for which state contracts are in effect?    How about a full disclosure as to what was done with this data and why?  Finally, were the "Covid Tests" made by Sema4 reliable indicators of a China-sourced virus? It is silence as usual from the Lamont Administration.

Connecticut Taxpayer's still do not have answers from three years ago as to the companies that have had investments made in them by Oak HC/FT Partners relating to the Covid-19 crisis.  Some of the companies include "Thermo Fisher Scientific", "Sema4", " Core Infomatics", "UNITE US" "Ocrulus", "Urjanet", "1life Healthcare", "Galileo Health", "Castlight Health", "Paladina Health", and "VillageMD".   They seem to all have ties to Connecticut also in the form of contracts to do business with the State of Connecticut, its non profits, or surrounding states with no bid contracts.    Will Connecticut Taxpayers ever find out how much profit was made by Oak HC/FT Partners and the Lamont family from these contracts and or companies?  Why is this information secret?

Sema4 and its ties to Connecticut with its apparently forgiven loan are just a small part of the never ending amoral and unethical "deals" that are made behind Connecticut taxpayers backs with the full blessings of state government.  Why does continue to happen?  What can be done to prevent these issues in the future?  Obviously laws are immaterial to the Ned Lamont Democrat Administration.  The rule of law obviously can get in the way of the income and profits that can be earned by Ned Lamont, his family's hedge fund and other politically connected individuals.  Shameless and unscrupulous economic acts and deals are the norm for Democrat Connecticut.  They always have been and must be accepted for the masses, and those that advocate against this massive cloaked racketeering scheme are vilified.  Connecticut Taxpayers are the slaves supporting this plantation called the Constitution State.  A state that in the opinion of many lacks ethics, morals and true representation of its legal population due to unchecked years of omnipotent, stale and corrupted Democrat Party rule.  Changes are on the horizon since we relive daily the coming of the new war for the precious freedoms that were declared and battled for in 1776.

Soon Connecticut Democrats Will Own And Raise Your Children From Birth

I can remember a few things from when I was 12-years-old.  I remember that I had a Mother and Father, who loved me and took care of me.  I also had an older sister who until this day I am still close to.  My parents provided me with a home to shelter me that my Father helped to build with his own hands, clothing and food to eat.  My Father worked full time as a Tool and Die Maker to support our family and I was expected to do work around the house and yard to help with the chores.  We did not have a house cleaner, chef, meals to go, lawn services, and or any extras at that time so we pretty much did everything ourselves.  I went to school, studied, played sports with my friends, read books from the library, went grocery shopping with my Mother and visited my Aunts, Uncles and Grandmother during the year.

I can see that my life growing up at 12-years-old is much different than those children the same age in 2023, especially in Connecticut.  For if I had a child who was 12-years-old today, I would move out of Connecticut as quickly as possible given the conditions, possible laws and propaganda being force fed to my child on a daily basis.  Personally, the nail in the coffin is the proposed bill that would allow 12-years-old children to get vaccinations of any kind without getting a parent’s or guardian’s consent.  This nightmare of a bill (H.B. 5480) being put forth by Democrat State Representative Kevin Ryan, is “an act allowing children 12 years of age and older to receive a vaccination without the consent of a parent or guardian.”  I wonder if this passes, which it very well may, will open up many more laws giving up parental rights in Connecticut and ceding them to the state government.

Given the acuity level and the lack of forward thinking on the part of most Connecticut legislators, I can envision the following bills becoming law in progressive Democrat-led Connecticut in the future:  State-mandated gender change for all children, no matter what age level and without parental permission, to be paid for by health insurance companies and or state funds.  Mandatory Critical Race Theory being taught starting in preschool classes, with those preschool classes being mandated by law for children three-years-old.  Mandated teaching of alternative sexual lifestyles in grammar school.  How about "Why legalized drugs are good for you and should be bought by all children at their local legal marijuana state store?".  Or as an elective,  let's have kids take "The in's and out's of legalized abortion as the right choice when getting pregnant".  The possibilities of brainwashing your children is endless if this bill gets passed in my opinion.

Connecticut parents now have a new fight on their hands when it comes to their children.  Never mind the issues of dealing with runaway inflation, unchecked crime and murders, a massive legal and illegal drug problem, forcing your children to wear masks in school, taking your children out of the classroom with remote learning during the never ending pandemic, and an incoherent, illogical and biased public school curriculum that will not prepare them for much of any type of functional skills and or career when they graduate thus becoming more dependent on the state.  They must now fight against this utterly demeaning piece of socialistic health legislation taking away their parenting rights, while it steals their children from them by an out-of-control socialism cancer that has help to ruin Connecticut endorsed with the blessings of the Connecticut Democrat Party.

I have to hand it to the Ned Lamont led Connecticut Democrat Party, as in my opinion and many others, they have absolutely no ethics, morals, shame, or regard for the truth when it comes to ruining an economy and society.  This bill along with many others they have developed is a demeaning rape of Connecticut parents in raising their children.  Children who by the way according to state law become adults at age 18.  Not at age 12, not at age 8, nor at age 3.  Not by state decree.  This is a sickening power grab of parent's rights.  And it should never be allowed  by any sane adults. And it is truly 1776 all over again.

What Connecticut Needs

 What Connecticut Needs

Connecticut needs a great deal.  It used to be an economically diverse and dynamic state that was also known as “The Constitution State”.  The state had excellent schools, strong police departments, a strong sense of community, opportunities for jobs and personal growth along with diverse independent towns and cities that had a strong self-government.  Most of that changed with the draconian State Income tax that was passed in 1991 and 30 years of unchecked Democrat social liberalism.
Connecticut in 2020 is a vastly different and economically and socially incoherent wasteland of its citizens, businesses and resources.  Connecticut in 2020 has become a welfare state run by a multi-millionaire Governor and his hedge fund gaming profits off its taxpayers coupled with a small politically obedient base of state union and management workers dictating to the rest of the state their incessant demands for higher salaries, benefits and pensions.  Connecticut in 2020 is ruled by decree in a dictatorial fashion, those who question and or oppose this illegal rule are condemned and nullified by the ruling elite and its consultants.  Connecticut in 2020 is no longer a safe state to live in with constant crime, a de-funding and elimination of police services and rampant illegal drug problems and issues.  Connecticut in 2020 forces its citizens to live in constant fear of Covid-19 no matter what precautions they take.  Connecticut in 2020 has some of the highest taxes in the country, a crumbling infrastructure, a net migration of its population moving out of the state, and one of the poorest business climates in the country.  And Connecticut in 2020 now has over $150 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities that it has absolutely no idea how to address nor wishes to address.
Connecticut needs a great deal if it wishes to avoid bankruptcy and a complete destruction of its economy and its citizens while hiding under the pretense of keeping us safe from Covid-19.  It is apparent that everything that our Executive Order Governor has done and is doing is still not protecting those most in need being our senior citizens in nursing homes and those citizens who are impaired physically and mentally.  And it also apparent that our Department of Public Health is ill prepared for any type of health crisis whether it is this current one and or one even more severe.
Connecticut needs a new government.  It needs a new state government that is open, that functions on a day-to-day basis, has checks and balances, eliminates lobbyists and most importantly is transparent to those taxpayers who are forced to support it.  Connecticut needs a complete independent forensic audit of all of it departments, buildings, equipment, and cash spent on every line item in its budget.  I am confident that the amount of fraud, waste and political do nothing patronage jobs that would be found would astound even the most liberal taxpayer in our state.  Connecticut also needs a working media that has objectivity and is not run by the Connecticut Democrat Party.
A small group of individuals in our state who believe in freedom and who are continually condemned as being “hard right” and or “ridiculous” for bringing up the chronic waste and fraud that we see in the state on a daily basis will continue our fight to restore Connecticut.  Maybe just maybe it might be time for others to join us and bombard our elected officials with our suggestions and demands to make Connecticut free again and not a vast economic wasteland.  Maybe just maybe someone in our supposed state government would listen this time.  Free Connecticut.  Or may just maybe it is too late.  I can’t say that I didn’t try to save our state nor do I have any regrets about my actions to save it either.

Connecticut’s Personal Freedom Grab

“I'm doing everything I can,” he said. If “we trim our freedoms there a little bit, we'll all be alive, safe, and be able to keep our economy open." This statement was made by Connecticut Executive Order Governor Ned Lamont (https://news.yahoo.com/ned-lamont-connecticut-governor-lockdown-keep-the-economy-open-173203169.html?soc_src=hl-viewer&soc_trk=fb) in a recent interview.   This comes on the heels of yet another roll back in the economy and its openings/closings along with a self-imposed curfew from 10pm to 5am every day.  I am amazed that the Covid-19 virus can peak during this time frame daily on anyone who may be out in the fresh air and or working, visiting, living, etc.
There seems to be yet another new metric to measuring Covid-19 cases in Connecticut and we are apparently seeing some new surge in the state based on these metrics.  What the metrics are seem to change day to day to fit the fear based daily narrative of the virus.  I find the colors of orange and red to be used as warning/dangers signs on state maps to be an interesting choice as they are symbols of President Trump and the Republican Party.  More negative messages by Ned Lamont, the Connecticut Democrat Party, Connecticut’s state run media and the Boston Consulting Group to be fed to the panic stricken and fearful Connecticut public.
Connecticut has a population of roughly 3,400,000 people.  According to worldometers.info, Connecticut has 27,047 active Covid-19 cases as of 11/6/2020.  If one views active cases as a percentage of the total population of the state the figure is .0079% of the state’s population has Covid-19 at this time.  To me and many others this seems to be a minor amount of people in comparison to the draconian measures that been implemented by Ned Lamont, the Connecticut Democrat Party, Connecticut’s state run media and the Boston Consulting Group to control our lives, our businesses and help to ruin the state economy.
We have been drilled constantly that if we follow all of the guidelines that Ned Lamont, the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Connecticut Democrat Party, Connecticut’s state run media and the Boston Consulting Group have told us we would overcome the Covid-19 virus and our lives would return to normal.  So what happened?  Supposedly cases are increasing at an incredible rate.  Why?  The blame is being placed where?  Depending on what information is being fed us at any time it is somehow restaurants that are opened at night, college students that have “Illegal” parties, more than ten people to be meeting at home, people eating dinner at 10pm, etc.  The list of things to blame can be endless at times and in my opinion defy any logic.  And we still have no idea what the state is doing to help prevent the spread of the virus for those who are most at risk including the elderly, nursing home patients and the disabled.
This virus and Connecticut have become a liberal and socialists dream.  The checks and balances of the state are long gone with a complete Democrat control of all aspects of state government from a dormant and powerless state legislature to a biased and packed court system that no longer meets, to a state run media that no longer offers a differing opinion.  Connecticut has a meek and failing economy with high unemployment and businesses closing. It has $150 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities to deal with but who cares about that anyways?  Tuesday’s election means more of the same a stagnant economy along with more personal freedoms being taken away from its citizens and higher taxes.
Connecticut’s personal freedom grab is real.  It is the unconstitutional law now.  It is laughed about by that Ned Lamont, the Connecticut Democrat Party, Connecticut’s state run media and the Boston Consulting Group as to how easy it was to take from Connecticut’s citizens.  Socialism and a command economy is the new norm for 2021 in Connecticut. Don’t forget that since it was forgotten on our “Election Day”.
