What Happened To Connecticut's Common Sense?

I really wonder what happened to Connecticut's common sense since March 16, 2020?  Why did it disappear?  And when might common sense come back for the state?  And or will it ever come back?
We have seen the extremes of the non functioning Connecticut State Government over the past 138 days of our lockdown.  We have seen constant changes in data, in statistics, in supposed protocols to follow all in the name of fighting off Covid-19.  We were told there would not be enough hospital space when the virus hit and there would not be enough PPE materials and equipment for everyone.  We were told that if we do not wear a mask when we go shopping and following one way in the store aisles we were placing everyone at risk.  We were told that the restaurant industry must shut down and only offer limited take out for several months-but now we can eat inside but for only a two hour maximum while customers can keep their masks off while eating but servers must keep theirs on at all times.  I wonder how healthy this will be for the employees of restaurants in the long run?
Does it make sense and or is it common sense that we are all assumed to have Covid-19 in Connecticut at all times when we leave our homes?  Does it make sense and or is it common sense that most of us do not have it and we should be able to assume a somewhat normal life style if we do not have it? Does it make sense and or is it common sense that those elderly and most vulnerable to getting the virus were the least taken care of?  The $2 million dollars that was spent on a no bid consulting contract to Boston Consulting Group could have been diverted to help those elderly people who were sick and not the politically connected of the Connecticut Democrat Party instead.
I have seen on many occasions that Ned Lamont does not wear a mask.  Has he been able to decree himself through one of his many self serving directives that he does not need one as Governor?  I am curious about that?  I am also curious if any common sense was used when ordering hundreds of millions of dollars of "Covid-19" necessities?  Or did Connecticut Taxpayers just overspend on many items and services to help increase profits to Lamont Hedge Fund backed companies that found their way into our state purchasing system?  I can not wait to see if any of these purchases will be audited in the future and the problems that will come from that audit.
I believe that if we had real leaders in Hartford during this crisis who used common sense we would not have the economic mess we are in at this time.  If real precautions were taken that kept all businesses and schools along with the State Legislature open we probably would have had the same amount of cases and deaths in the state.  We would not have a 22% unemployment rate and see an enormous amount of businesses shut down for good.  We would not have seen massive lines for food at local food banks.  And we would be building immunity against Covid-19 among our population both young and old as we see in other states.
Common sense is tough to find here in Connecticut especially in our non functioning state government. I really do not buy into the wholesale destruction of our state economy due to this virus when I see many public health issues in our state being ignored such as illegal drug use and abuse, broken families and mental health issues that are imploding.  Maybe someone in Hartford could lead with common sense?  I know Ned Lamont and the Connecticut Democrat Party are not capable of it.  Enough is enough.
