Today is the first day of our 249th year of American Freedom and Exceptionalism

May it be to the world, what I believe it will be … the signal of arousing men to burst the chains … and to assume the blessings and security of self-government. Freedom is not free, nor ever has it been free. I guess that difficult to understand for some in our country today. Socialism has been a failure in the world in the countries that force its citizens to obey its failed principles. Communism also has been a miserable failure in the world in the countries that force its citizens to obey its failed principles. Why are some in our country embracing the losses of personal and economic freedoms along with reverting back to tyrannical type of government? Do they not understand the consequences of the dictatorial actions of murderous leaders such as  Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Chairman Mao and Saddam Hussein to name a few?  It would be educational for those paid protestors who have a hatred for our country to read over what these socialist/communist dictators did to their countries that they ruled with no regard for the sanctity for human life let alone personal and economic freedoms. Is this what the younger generation wants for their future?

Today's Democrat Party shows itself to embrace the dismantling of personal and economic freedoms at all costs  It sickens many Americans to have watched the wretched turmoil of non-stop rioting and destruction of personal property go unchecked. It sickens many Americans to have watched the blatant lies of an obedient state run  media echo all the failed talking points of failed socialistic and communistic government mandated programs in lock step. It sickens many Americans to have watched a mass of illegal immigrants just walk into our country and do whatever they wanted to for four years. It sickens many Americans to have watched the constant condemnation, personal attacks, assassination attempts and impeachment attempts of President Trump since 2016. It sickens many Americans to have watched Police and Law Enforcement officials be told not to enforce the laws of our country, or if they did there would be consequences for their actions. It sickens many Americans to have watched a small minority of our country attempt to force fed us their incoherent socialistic gibberish while hiding under masks. Americans are tired of the Democrat Party encouraging these lawless, paid protestors and their venom for our country to go unchecked.

Today's Democrat Party represents the hypocrisy and double-dealing to enrich themselves and those politically connected to them. If they are so worried about people in "need" then why is avowed Socialist  Bernie Sanders net worth $3 million dollars? Yet he bellows about how bad capitalism is? But it is fine for him to be worth that much. How many "homeless" people does he living in his two homes that he owns? Or how about Nancy Pelosi and her net worth of over $250 million dollars? It shows us that the American capitalistic system works well for her but she and others of her ilk do not wish for you to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Look at how much "wealth" many local, state, and federal Democrat elected officials have and then wonder why they hate economic freedom so much?

President John Adams stated, "Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."  I grew up watching the Vietnam War protestors with their burning of the American flag, illegal drug use and hatred of our country. And I now watch history repeating itself 40 years later now with paid protestors who protest about anything and everything with no clue as to their consequences of their actions. I despised the disparaging of America back then; I despise it now and I know many of you reading this do also. Enough is enough. We as a country need to strive for excellence and self-sufficiency once again. Today, let us all start working on this first day of our 249th year of American freedom and exceptionalism to make sure Liberty and Freedom live on for the next 249 years and eliminate for the last time the fetid tentacles of socialism and communism entrapping America in 2025.

248 Years Of Freedom July 4, 1776 - July 4, 2024

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated  Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

Why America Needs Real Leadership Again

 Many people today believe America needs real leadership again.  They believe our country needs real leadership in many areas of our economy, government and society.  They believe young boys and girls need real ethical and genuine role models to look up to and to emulate.  They believe that America is on the wrong path, being a path of decline, decay and destruction of ethics, freedom, and its real history.  They long for normalcy.  The common men and women of our country, the great silent majority who are law abiding citizens that go to work daily producing with their abilities and who help others in need, are fed up with the incoherent gibberish, government ineptitude and lies that they are forced to endure on a daily basis.  In sum, we have a leadership crisis in our country today stemming all the way from the White House, to places like the Governor's Mansion in Hartford CT where King Ned Lamont The Unaccountable, resides and marches daily in lockstep with the parade of aimless chaos surrounding him and his fellow Democrat leaders.

Common sense does not seem to exist in our country today.  The Democrat Party political ideology littered with deceptions, lies and falsehoods that must be embraced, promoted and accepted with no questions asked.  When a normal, forthright American does not agree with its socialist creed and doctrine they are immediately discredited, disgraced and vilified by the operatives of the Democrat Party political ideology.  One example is a woman who complains about the unsafe conditions in her area, but she is dismissed and ridiculed by her local government. She truly is afraid to go to the grocery store to shop.  She is placed in further fear of being mugged and having her purse, groceries and car stolen from her when she goes back to her vehicle after shopping.  But in this leadership void we are obligated to live with the the constant threat of crime. Crime that somehow according to the Democrat Party political ideology can magically go away with no more arrests or convictions. Many District Attorneys follow precisely the Democrat Party political ideology when it comes to criminals, the victims of crime are the now the criminals, the criminal has more rights than the victims of crime.  At the same time the Democrat Party political ideology leaders are all safe behind their gated communities and fortresses they have built for themselves along with their private security forces they employ.

Sports is now a political tool of the Democrat Party political ideology where radical fringe groups must have their own nights at games. Religious beliefs must be destroyed also, as was the example of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team, honoring a sickening anti-Catholic, anti-nun group before a recent game.  If a Christian athlete speaks out against these events and or does not wish to participate due to their religious beliefs they are demonized.  The Democrat Party political ideology apparently will no longer accept freedom of religion when it does not suit their agenda.

Then, the Democrat Party political ideology list of wrongs that want to be made right seems endless.  In the opinion of many the the Democrat Party political ideology is illogical, unethical and just plain wrong.  The Biden Administration is a great example of corruption and embracing the Democrat Party political ideology with runaway inflation, rampant crime, a massive loss of personal wealth over the past three years, an open border crisis, a massive illegal drug crisis, a transgender children's crisis, a National Debt crisis, an Afghanistan war crisis, a new war crisis between Russia and the Ukraine that taxpayers must pay for with no questioning, a selling of the Vice President's office for financial gain, and an energy crisis just to name a few issues since 2021.

Why must America accept this garbage?  America needs real leadership again not the Democrat Party political ideology that is a failure in everything it addresses.  Real leaders in America need to stand up and be heard.  The same way they were heard in 1776.

As 700 Bills Are Introduced In The Connecticut Legislature, State Policy Cripples The State

 The "Constitution State" of Connecticut has thousands upon thousands of legislative bills that are on its legal records.  In the course of your lifetime, you could not actually read them all and digest what their implications are and  their collective impact on Connecticut.  There have been bills signed into law that pretty much control all aspects of your day to day lives.  There have been bills that have been signed into law that pretty much tax everything and anything in the state.  There have been bills that have been signed into law that pretty much were vehemently opposed by Connecticut Taxpayers but were rammed down our throats by the Connecticut Democrat Party (think, the state income tax).  There have been bills that have been signed into law that pretty much have over-regulated business and industry in the state, to the extent it has moved out of the state.  There have been bills that have been signed into law that pretty much picked the winners and losers in the state economy. And there have been bills that have been signed into law that pretty much keep Connecticut as one of the highest taxed states and one of the lowest economically performing states in the country year in and year out, thereby making economic weakness the predominant "steady habit" in the land of Nutmeg.


Sadly in 2023, it has been no different in Connecticut's latest incoherent Legislative session with over 700 bills being introduced.  Many bills are just feel good liberal gibberish and incoherency conforming to the omnipotent Democrat one-party rule in the state.  These bills range from more taxation without representation, to the elimination of freedom of speech, to the far reaching consequences of eliminating male and female words from the state vocabulary.  Any opposing viewpoints coming from the opposing party or from constituents are greeted with a vile hatred, and are automatically voted down by the pompous ruling elites.  Thus Connecticut Taxpayers are disregarded and have not been heard by their supposed "elected" leaders for many years. This year is the same as it has been for over 30 years.  There is some talk of an actual tax break for the remaining working class but it is pitifully minimal given the runaway Democrat inflation that is ruining the economy at this time.  And it will not help overtaxed Connecticut Taxpayers since legal spending caps will be ignored and worked around by the Connecticut Democrat Party.  Connecticut has over $150 billion dollars in long and short term debt, along with its unfunded liabilities.  Unfunded pension liabilities were recently configured differently to push state payments down the road for future payments  by economics expert, Comptroller Sean Scanlon to the applause of political leaders. The effect of this act of financial genius will create a bigger fiscal bomb to be thrown on the backs of taxpayers in years to come. With economic vision such as this instance, we might as well toss "fiscal ignorance" in the same steady habit category as "economic futility", when we speak of all policies Nutmeg. 


Meanwhile, back in the Capitol Building, I really do not know what can be done to eliminate the illogical amount of legislative bills being introduced every year.  State legislators apparently are showing the Connecticut Taxpayers what a great job they are doing with all the ridiculous bills they sponsor.  However the grim reality for Connecticut is that most of these bills do little to improve the state other than to suffice and pad the pockets of the lobbyists, special interest groups, and political hangers-on that control the state hand-in-hand with the Ned Lamont Democrat Party. 

Thus another legislative year will be closing soon.  Connecticut Taxpayers have once again been forgotten about, and will once again see more personal freedoms removed from them and pay higher taxes of some sort so that the ruling Connecticut political elite and its public unions benefits.  Connecticut Taxpayers will also be told that this group and that group along with state universities, unions and public schools are in desperate need of more money and more sources of funding.  Connecticut Taxpayers be damned once again.  In a state filled with rampant crime, corruption, an unsustainable debt and a failed economy, over 700 bills offered, will once again do little to improve the state.  How could it not be 1776 all over again with a failed state government oozing distress and despair and fiscal ineptitude, while promoting a spoils system, all while Connecticut burns daily?

The Horrific and Illegal Connecticut Democrat Party Sponsored House Bill 6410 ("HB 6410")

 The First Amendment of the United States Constitution states; "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."  Freedom of Speech is a guaranteed right in our country.

 However, in Ned Lamont's Democrat/Socialist Connecticut, HB 6410 is an act establishing a working group concerning safe online practices.  The bill states: "Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That a working group be established to create guidelines and best practices for the reporting and enforcement of abusive, offensive or threatening harassment of state and municipal elected officials on social media platforms.

 Statement of Purpose:To create guidelines that find a balance between making elected officials accessible to the people whom they serve and protecting them from abusive, offensive or threatening online harassment."(https://www.cga.ct.gov/2023/TOB/H/PDF/2023HB-06410-R00-HB.PDF)

 What does the bill mean?   The bill means that the penalties for "abusing or harassing" an elected official online will increase substantially. The bill means that strict guidelines will now be established on how our elected officials may become available and accessible to the citizens they are purported to represent.  This bill means that a working group (whatever that means) of politically-connected individuals will be established to monitor how we interact with elected officials online.  This working group will be appointed mainly by the Democrat Party majority and their progressive leadership.  This bill simply means your Constitutional First Amendment rights will be limited and overturned by Connecticut's Democrat Party majority progressive leadership and Ned Lamont if they apparently do not agree with what you saying.  This bill means you may actually face jail time for your comments perceived to be against a Connecticut elected official.

 It is obvious to many that the Connecticut Democrat Party no longer wishes to hear any criticism of any sort from the incoherent and draconian acts it imposes on Connecticut Taxpayers and our freedoms in general, especially on social media platforms.  Although HB 6410 is a direct violation of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution and longstanding SCOTUS precedent, that is not a deterrent to steamrolling this bill through the Legislature.  After all, laws seem to be for other people in Connecticut and they no longer apply to either Ned Lamont or his Connecticut Democrat Party.  Or placed in more realistic terms, a political power that must have total control, obedience and hold the legal and financial slavery of its citizens that it imprisons on a daily basis, will now implement laws such as HB 6410.

  Ned Lamont and his Connecticut Democrat Party truly do not answer to anyone.  Opposition voices to their dictatorship must be and will be silenced through this bill.  Connecticut Taxpayers who question their government, who question vaccines for Covid-19, who question how much profit the Governor and his family's hedge fund made off of Covid-19 testing, who question excessive taxation without representation, who question the blatant theft of personal financial and genomic information, and who question election integrity all must be silenced immediately!  Why?  Does stating real truth mean an end to their never ending game of corruption, profit, theft, and the continued defrauding of the Connecticut Taxpayer?  

 In the opinion of many, HB6410 is one of the worst bills to ever be introduced in Connecticut's history.  Freedom of Speech is a legal and sacred right in our country, being anathema to the views of Ned Lamont and his political regime.  Freedom of Speech must be preserved at all costs.  And we see even more seeds of discontent being planted by a corrupt and incoherent Connecticut Democrat Party onto the Connecticut Taxpayers.  The same Connecticut Taxpayers who truly see the charade of state government as they are living anew 1776 all over again. They are living a new 1776 in a state driven mad by their leaders disgust and hatred of freedom of any sort.   Enough, is simply, enough.

Freedom Of Speech? Freedom Of The Press? Is There Any Real News Being Reported Today?

I remember when news came from a variety of sources.  One could get the news from daily newspapers, weekly and monthly news magazines, by listening to the radio and all news stations, and watching a morning and evening newscast on local and national television.  Many daily newspapers had both a morning and evening edition that was filled with actual news articles that really covered news events, state news and local news, broken down by the towns where you bought the paper and/or where your paper delivered right to your home.  The newspaper had several sections to it including the actual world, national, state and local news, sports, and sections about the areas of home, garden, food, entertainment, comics, (remember those?), want ads of all types, and puzzles such as the daily crossword puzzle.  The newspaper provided a means of learning and being aware of the current events surrounding our world.  Opinion was kept to an Editorial page that also included citizens "Letters to the Editor"  where one could mail in a letter for publication expressing your opinion.  I wrote and had published my first letter to the editor back in 1973 in the old New Haven Register afternoon paper, when I was 15 years old.  Weekly news magazines such as US News and World Report, Time, and Newsweek were published, providing more in depth coverage of news events from the week.  National Review and New Republic were magazines stating a conservative and liberal viewpoint in their pages.  Business and investor news was reported in depth from publications such as Barron's, Business Week and Fortune.  To me it was a glorious time for getting news and information from a variety of sources that one could learn from, and more importantly understand current events happening in the whole world. 


Sadly as the years have progressed, print media has basically been eliminated in the name of all things "green" and non polluting, thereby shifting to the supposed "green" and non polluting online, computer-based electronic paywall media that entraps our minds and opinions in 2023.  Holding a newspaper in your hands and or a print magazine is frowned upon.  We are led to believe that all of your sources of news should be bought via your Apple Pay and or some other online payment system, while you are offered select and targeted "news" that these mega-media giants want for you to see.  And what you read today is mostly incoherent liberal gibberish, with the exception of a handful of news sources.  Both sides of a story are not reported.  We are force-fed what the state run media wants us to view.  It is a strange new world of what "journalism" is in 2023.  It is radically different than when I received my Bachelors Degree in Journalism way back when in 1980.  43 years later I see little if any type of news reporting actually taking place.  Fast-forward 43 years later, and I see a Democrat President's Press Secretary make a complete fool of herself daily with her dribble, serial incompetence, and nonsensical statements spewed as fact, much of which dribble is read emphatically from a prepared book.  43 years later, I see Connecticut giving its state media darlings $72 million dollars of Connecticut taxpayers' monies for the purpose of stating daily the failed Democrat Party liberal narrative that continues to lead the state to economic ruin.  43 years later, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, I see and hear liberal news stations blare their incomprehensible, illogical and rambling lectures on why they are always right and you are always wrong.  43 years later, news reports seem to have be approved before they can be reported.  Just examine the nightmare of the indefensible misinformation force fed to us during the Covid-19 crisis.  Or how about the Biden Family corruption scandal?  Or how about spy balloons?

Freedom of the Press is an important right to any democracy.  Believe it or not the First Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees it.  It also guarantees Freedom of Speech, something that seems to be annoying to President Biden and his Democrat Party and its aligned sympathizers especially in Connecticut, where certain legislators think they are doing God's service by making news reported other than by a "state verified journalist" to be illegal under state law.  Why has our news collapsed into a heap of opinionated bias that is stressed as facts to its readers and viewers?  When in reality, contrary to what we are led to believe, there are still two sides to every event in our world.
 
There are still pockets of resistance in the world of journalism or what's left of it.  One must seek them out and find them.  They are limited in my opinion.  I can envision a regression back to the days of a town crier calling out news in a town or city when he or she comes upon it.  The lack of real news today, in my opinion corresponds to the total lack of transparency in government at all levels especially looking at our federal government.  Just look at the United States Senators who supposedly represent us like 89 year old  California Democrat Senator Feinstein and Democrat Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman.  Comical and sad isn't it?  I see little if any news being reported in 2023-not like it was in 1776.  Remember 1776?  Our Founding Fathers are turning in their graves seeing their hard work being squandered by a small group of real insurgents and pampered malcontents despising our freedom.
