How Much Taxpayer's Money Was Wasted During The Covid-19 Crisis?

I really wonder how much of Connecticut Taxpayers' money was wasted during the Covid-19 crisis?  According to the covidmoneytracker.org website a mere $11 trillion dollars has been spent in various programs, loans, grants, direct aid and other programs to apparently save the country from this man-made virus.  I will point out immediately that America's National Debt is now well over $31 trillion dollars with no plan whatsoever forthcoming  to address it and or pay it down on the future.  Our National Debt at this time is at its highest level ever in nation's history and plays a role in the recessionary/inflationary economic nightmare of an energy crisis, runaway inflation, an open border crisis, an illegal drug crisis and unchecked crime that we live in from day to day.  Depending on how it is both reported and analyzed, Connecticut's short and long term debt along with its unfunded liabilities is between $100 and $150 billion dollars, and that is only the part that is not hidden from view.

It is difficult to understand what America received for that $11 trillion dollars of Taxpayer's monies spent.  It is more difficult to understand how much Connecticut got and where it was spent in the state.  These facts and figures are difficult to find and understand from an economics viewpoint.  We do know that if states continue to declare "states of emergency" due to the Covid-19 crisis, they continue to receive financial support for certain programs as of today even though there is no more pandemic.  Connecticut initially received over $1.3 billion dollars in federal Taxpayer monies in 2020 for various relief programs.  Connecticut received funding from the CARES Act, and a host of other catchy named programs to offset the incredible economic damage that was forced upon the state during the pandemic by Connecticut's Ned Lamont's Democrat led state government/Kingdom.  Lamont's continual emergency powers granted to him by a non operational state legislature allowed for a steady stream of funding to go into the state while the state's economic productivity, viability and work force sat idle.  But where did all that money go?

Connecticut lost many businesses during the pandemic.  They shut down never to open again as many businesses that were deemed "non essential" by Ned Lamont (and/or his highly paid consulting group lackeys) were closed.  What was "essential" was the continuous operations of Ned Lamont's family hedge fund and several of their holdings especially Sema4.  One company that should have been investigated and still to this day needs to be investigated is Sema4.  This company received a 2% "sweetheart" state loan and funding. Recapping again what happened, $45,150,000 is what Sema4 has been able to obtain with little to no oversight in Covid-19 and Genomics testing from the State of Connecticut.  Further, there are loans and unknown billings and payments that in many cases continue not to be reconciled nor disclosed as of today. To date, Connecticut State-run media has never reported there was a Third Amendment to a state support agreement signed on April 14, 2021, between the State, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and Mount Sinai Genomics/Sema4 amending the original support agreement made between these parties back in 2018.  In the 2018 original agreement, Mount Sinai Genomics guaranteed payment of $9.5 million of the $15,000,000 state-funded loan to Sema4.  However, this Third Amendment releases Mount Sinai Genomics from the loan and its guarantee, leaving faltering Sema4 to pay its own debts, and if that does not work, the loan then becomes a casualty to taxpayers.   Sema4 shut down operations in the state and is on the verge of bankruptcy with its nearly worthless stock.  We still do not know how much in profits did Lamont and family gain off this deal and their dealings with the state.  We know that Connecticut taxpayers will foot the bill for this deal in the future.  My good friend Tony De Angelo on his weekly segment on the Lee Elci radio show on 94.9 WJJF New London, CT has been talking about these payments for over two years now and I have written about them on several occasions. Mr. De Angelo this past week stated there needs to be a complete audit of where this money went and where did all the pandemic funding go to.  I agree.  However, we do know one Democrat slightly fallen from grace is former State Representative Michael DiMassa who pleaded guilty to stealing $1.2 million dollars of Covid-19 relief funds from the Democrat-led city of West Haven.  How many more cases are still out there waiting to be uncovered in terms of theft of Covid-19 relief funds?  I guess Taxpayers do not really need to know.

I personally hate to see government at any level rip off Taxpayers.  However it seems to be happening on a daily basis.  To see the absolute destruction of state economies such as Connecticut due to their draconian and incoherent decrees in the name of saving lives due to Covid-19 is sickening.  We can look back since March, 2020 and see a ridiculous and frightening abuse of governmental power that profited some well connected elitists in our economy while bankrupting many hard working Americans.  Those who were most vulnerable to Covid-19 were discarded and made to die a lonely death in isolation from their loved ones, treated as some sort of social leper.  And we really need to know how much Taxpayer's monies were wasted in this man-made, abuse of governmental power, profit-mad crisis called the pandemic?  Our questions still do not get answered by "our" government as we continue our journey daily back to 1776.

Connecticut Is Closed On February 12, 2021 Lincoln’s Birthday. Thank You Connecticut Taxpayers.

I bet you did not know Connecticut Taxpayers monies are being used to give Connecticut State employees Lincoln’s Birthday off today Friday February 12, 2021 as a paid holiday.  They also have Monday February 15, 2021 off as a paid holiday which is the Federal holiday of President’s Day.  I find great irony in the woke, liberal, socialist Connecticut Democrat Party embracing this paid day off for Connecticut State employees.  After all we are somehow led to believe through the new history of today where lies are truth that we must abide by, that Republican President Lincoln was somehow bad (not woke) in wanting freedom for slaves that were held in our country and that a Civil War was fought for to eliminate slavery from our country.  If one reads some excerpts about President Lincoln and the Civil War from the politically correct New York Times 1619 Project (a project in my opinion that wishes to destroy facts from our history), or from the many other liberal views of how bad President Lincoln was one would wonder why Connecticut State employees are off today?  Thus why are Connecticut State employees off today since President Lincoln should be discarded from history according to many new history “experts” and their shameful rewriting of our history to facilitate a socialist agenda that they want us to believe?  To me this day of pay for Connecticut State employees is economically and politically irrational especially for our most liberal and socialist Democrat leaders in our state.   Why are they off?  Wasn’t “Honest Abe” bad for our country?  And isn’t “Honest Ned” doing incredible things for Connecticut since he has taken office instead?  Like $150 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities?
Maybe a compromise could take place.  Connecticut State government could rename February 12th as Connecticut Democrat Party/Ned Lamont Day.  This way Connecticut State employees could be more comfortable in having the day off with pay, paid for by Connecticut Taxpayers without the stress of worrying about that evil Republican President Lincoln.  Why Connecticut Taxpayers must pay for this day off is absurd and ridiculous.
Freedom is never free and President Lincoln understood that concept.  It is too bad it is lost in Connecticut in 2021.  Free Connecticut.
By the way Happy Lincoln’s Birthday and get to work so that you can pay your Connecticut taxes to help pay for this essential day off for Connecticut State employees.

Connecticut's Ned Lamont Executive Order State Government

Connecticut is no longer a democracy.  With Ned Lamont extending his emergency powers that were to expire on September 9th until February 2021, he has declared himself the Supreme Ruler of the state.  Connecticut's legislative leaders will have 72 hours to nullify his actions.  We know since Connecticut is a one party state that this will not happen.  It apparently no longer has elected representatives who meet in a state legislature that is elected every two years.  They can only meet as they did this past summer for a few hours to declare their hatred of our local police and several other failed liberal objectives such as mail in voting.  There is now a de facto government that consists only of Governor Ned Lamont and his behind the scenes non public decision making consulting group along with a few hand chosen politically connected individuals.  These politically connected individuals will be able to provide Ned Lamont and his wife's hedge fund profit in the future and will be able to deliver votes and cash to the Connecticut Democrat Party at election time.  Thus we no longer have a freely elected State Legislative body representing the legal citizens and taxpayers of Connecticut any more.  I will assume that in February 2021 Lamont will extend it once again.  All at the expense of the remaining Connecticut Taxpayers that are brave enough to try to survive in our Connecticut Democrat Party led cesspool and sewer of an economy.

Connecticut's economy will further erode and unemployment will continue to increase with this extension of Lamont's power.  Connecticut's 22% unemployment rate will only increase, more businesses especially restaurants will shut down for good, there will be more medical depression cases and suicides.  All because of Covid-19.  I wonder does the entire population of Connecticut have it?   Can we only trust Covid-19 tests that came from a Lamont hedge fund funded company and no other?  Is the only way Connecticut can resume activity is when a Lamont hedge fund funded company has developed a vaccine which will then be mandated by Lamont for every citizen to get whether or not they want it or not so they will be able to live, work and go to school in the state?   How many of our state population really died of Covid-19?  Are any figures accurate in any way?  I wonder also how many people committed suicide and or died of drug overdoses during this same time period?  This information will never be published as it would make our de facto government look inept which it is.

Ned Lamont's Executive Powers and Orders should have ceased on September 9, 2020.  There is no need to continue this baseless shutdown of the state's economy when there are so few cases and deaths.  It is illegal also in my opinion.  It is time for Connecticut and our country to start full economic activity once again.  It is also time to address why so many Connecticut citizens died in its nursing homes during the height of the virus.

Connecticut's legal citizens and taxpayers have lost their voice in government and lost their democracy.  Our legal State Constitution has been discarded and disposed of.  Connecticut is owned by Ned Lamont and the Connecticut Democrat Party.  Do not forget that.  They rule for themselves, for their own profits and with an iron fist.  Enough is enough.

How Much Is The Covid-19 Test Costing Connecticut's Taxpayers?

There was more bad economic news for Connecticut Taxpayers this past week.  Connecticut Taxpayers are not able to find out how much Covid-19 tests being given are costing the state.  $50 million dollars of Connecticut Taxpayers monies is being spent on six different vendors Covid-19 tests.  The Office of the State Comptroller has redacted at least six public contracts at the request of vendors who state their prices for taxpayer-funded tests shouldn’t be publicly disclosed because that information is considered a "trade secret" not subject to public disclosure.   How this is possible is beyond economic logic and comprehension?  I am under the belief that if Connecticut Taxpayers monies are being publicly spent then that information becomes public knowledge?  We apparently have now a defacto Lamont ruled state government whereby no information is forthcoming to Connecticut Taxpayers unless it has been approved by Lamont and the Boston Consulting Group (due to their secret state consulting contract that was enacted by Lamont).  Obviously our democracy in Connecticut has been suspended due to the "crisis" powers of Ned Lamont and his political/business friends that now rule the state.
I wonder how many of these six vendors have had investments made by the Oak HC/FT hedge fund that Ned Lamont and family have a financial interest in?   Since we as Connecticut Taxpayers are paying for these tests do not we not have a right under our Connecticut State Constitution to know what is being spent?  Or are Connecticut's rules and laws conveniently forgotten about when it can benefit either the Lamont's or the Connecticut Democrat Party?  In this case it seems to be.
I take this loss of Connecticut Taxpayers freedom of information to know where our tax money is being spent along with a disregard of the loss of personal freedoms due to this "crisis"  to be a serious attack on the legal citizens of our state.  To me it is also against the laws that govern the state.
The real "crisis" in Connecticut today is not Covid-19.  It is the imploding financial crisis of an impending $4 to $6 billion dollar budget deficit for the coming Fiscal Year 2020-2021 along with massive state unemployment, a massive loss of businesses along with the $145 billion dollars in short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities Connecticut has.  What is Ned Lamont and his political/business friends going to do about that?  Anything?  Is Boston Consulting Group working on it for another $2 million dollar Connecticut Taxpayer funded secret contract?  Are we going to be looking at the sky is the limit new and higher taxes for the remaining legal citizens and businesses of the state?  What are the solutions being offered by our elected officials?  Do we have elected officials any more in Connecticut or do we now live in a dictatorship?  I really wonder.
We are now almost thirty years into a state income tax that was going to solve all of Connecticut's economic problems.  We are now almost thirty years into a never ending economic depression and recession that has been inflicted upon us year in and year out by a Connecticut Democrat Party that has no concerns other than pure authoritarian rule over its people.
Oh and by the way I still want to know how much we are paying for these Covid-19 tests?
