When Wrong Is Right-The Local Elections Are Here

Wrong is right in Connecticut.  Down is up and up is down.  A lie becomes truth when told over and over again.  From the Constitution State to the Corruption State.  A valueless political system along with a valueless economic system.  Taxpayers mistreated and abused.  Taxpayers lied to. 
Wrong is the new right in Connecticut.  A lie is the new truth in Connecticut.
The local elections are upon us.  In my opinion contrary to the lies of the Connecticut Democrat Party, the Connecticut economy is in horrific shape.  We see now on a daily basis an exodus of taxpayers and young people leaving the state on a daily basis.  We see now on an almost daily basis businesses leaving the state both small and large due to the high costs of taxes, transportation and doing business in Connecticut.  We see a non transparent and fraudulent state government in action, with violations of our constitution and rule of laws rampant.  We see Connecticut last in all so many economic categories.  We see Connecticut as a state that has developed into an economic windfall and personal bank for its elected and appointed state officials with high salaries, high pensions and never ending benefits that Connecticut taxpayers must support willingly and without questioning of our elected officials.
Wrong is right in Connecticut according to the Connecticut Democrat Party.

What really has the Connecticut Democrat Party done for you lately if you are not part of their well connected network of nepotism?
Are you better off since the Malloy regime began if you are not part of their well connected network of nepotism?

The local elections will be a referendum on the Connecticut Democrat Party.  The Connecticut Democrat Party continues to be out of touch with the economic reality of what is happening in this state.  The middle class who bears the brunt of oppressive and unyielding state taxes is being eliminated on a daily basis by the Connecticut Democrat Party. 
Do you really want to vote Democrat in this location election?  Or is time finally to start to rid our state beginning on a local level of the arrogance of the Connecticut Democrat Party and its lies that it claims is good government?
The choice is yours-continued economic strangulation with oppressive taxes or economic freedom?

$335,000 Buys Political Expediency

Political expediency is worth $335,000 for Connecticut Taxpayers.
Political expediency is worth $335,000 for Students who attend Connecticut Universities and Community Colleges.
Political expediency is worth $335,000 so that your Taxpayer funded pension can double overnight.
Political expediency is worth $335,000 so that tuition can increase yet again and make college more unaffordable for legal Connecticut residents who wish to attend.
The Malloy merger and creation of the Connecticut Board of Regents has been a costly and miserable failure for the state's Higher Education System since the state's dozen community colleges, four regional state universities and the Charter Oak online college merged into the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system three years ago.  So far it has had two presidents and two interim leaders that in my opinion have been unfit to lead this unneeded state bureaucracy.
Now former Malloy Chief of Staff Mark Ojakian gets the nod as political payback and has been named the new interim President of the Board of Regents for a mere $335,000 a year.  I wonder if he is going to be teaching any classes for that salary?  Guess how much his Taxpayer funded pension goes up to? 
As an Adjunct Professor in a state community college my first thought is that you have got to be kidding me?  And my second thought is that this mess of a department needs to be unfunded and eliminated immediately as a waste of taxpayers monies and an insult to the students of our system who are forced to pay constant tuition increases for what is beyond me.
But the Malloy machine and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule knows no bounds.  Payback using taxpayers monies is never ending.  And yet again we have another example of horrific and poorly managed government in this Board of Regents.  Thank You once again Connecticut Democrats!

Death In Cuba Then Death In Connecticut

I guess that Americans are supposed to be happy about the new normalization of relations with Cuba.  Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry conveniently forgot that over 77,000 people have died at sea trying to escape the bloody tyranny of the Castro Brothers.  They also choose to forget that Cuba has no freedoms nor any economy.  They also choose to forget that there is no religious freedom in Cuba.  They also choose to forget that "Up to December 15, 2008, 5,732 cases of execution, extrajudicial killings, and disappearances have been documented. I guess that Connecticut Taxpayers and Citizens are supposed to be happy that the death penalty does not apply to those on Connecticut's Death Row.  Here in Connecticut murderers never have to really worry about anything as they will be taken care of by Connecticut Taxpayers for the rest of their lives when they murder someone.  It can be a passive murder or a bloody gruesome murder and they will live as long as they want and are able to.  Connecticut Taxpayers must support them because the Liberal Connecticut Supreme Court has decided to rescind a signed piece of legal legislation to suit their liberal desires, interpretations and needs.  The Liberal Connecticut Supreme Court apparently creates their own laws any way they see fit.  Thus all Connecticut residents who abide by our laws need to wonder why they are no longer protected by our state government and legal system.  Victims here in Connecticut no longer have any more rights.  One also can assume that if a high ranking Connecticut Democrat Official family member was murdered in cold blood we would see how fast the death penalty would be embraced.  The Connecticut Democrat Party has issues in dealing with murderers here in our state.

Connecticut's Worsening Economy-Thank You Connecticut Democrats!

Connecticut's socialistic economy continues to worsen.  Taxpayers and residents continue their mass exodus from the state.  More negative economic news out of Hartford this week as the current budget deficit continues to grow looking at now a fast approaching $71 million dollar deficit.  One may wonder how we can have a budget deficit with almost $4 billion dollars in new taxes over the past four years and $80 billion dollars in long term unfunded liabilities? 
And especially when Mr. Malloy campaigned that we had no deficit and he was not going to raise taxes.
And especially when a $40 billion dollar budget was passed in June with no debate and no input from the minority party in the legislature.
And especially when Connecticut now ranks dead last in job formation according to new poll released this week by Gallup.  So much for the Connecticut Democrat lies that the economy had "turned the corner".
And especially when Connecticut is now the most expensive place to die in the country with the highest probate fees in the country along with taxes on your life insurance policies.
And especially when people are leaving Connecticut faster than any other state in the country.
And especially when Connecticut Democrats float a mileage tax for all state drivers only to pull it back when the outcry is massive twisting it that it is the Republicans fault for talking about it.
And especially when Mr. Malloy wants a $100 billion dollar transportation program that can not be rationally funded nor sustainable especially when no other state spends that amount of money for their transportation programs.  Ever drive on I95 in Long Wharf?  How many more years will that take to finish and at what costs?
On and on and on the Connecticut Democrat lie machine does not stop hurtling insults at the Republicans and at Connecticut taxpayers and citizens.  Nothing is their fault, the fault is always somewhere else.
The Connecticut Democrat Party and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule owns the state economy and its implosion.  The hemorrhaging of deficit spending and Democrat political self interest and rule needs to end today if not sooner.

A Tale OF Two Cities

What community would you rather live in Wallingford or Bridgeport?
I know this may be an unfair question.
Wallingford is smaller than Bridgeport as Bridgeport has the largest population in Connecticut.
Wallingford has its own electric division providing residents and businesses low cost electricity.
Bridgeport does not.
Wallingford has a low tax rate.
Bridgeport does not.
Wallingford has an AAA Bond rating.
Bridgeport has an A2 Bond rating.
Wallingford has a Republican Mayor who has never been in front of any Board of Ethics hearings in 34 years.
Bridgeport had a Democrat Mayor (who is running again this year in a primary) who was convicted for racketeering, extortion, bribery and mail fraud, among other felonies, for his role in a six-year scheme to shake down city contractors for more than $500,000 in cash, meals, clothing, wine and home renovations in 2003 and served seven years in prison for it.
Wallingford has a strong Republican Mayor and Republican Town Council.
Bridgeport has a Democrat Mayor and Democrat Town Council.
Wallingford has a low crime rate.
Bridgeport  has a high crime rate.
What community would you rather live in Wallingford that is run by Republicans or Bridgeport that is run by Democrats?
I know this may be an unfair question.  But I find it shocking that in the state of Connecticut's largest community that their former convicted Mayor may be their choice for the Democrat nomination for Mayor.  The Bridgeport Republican candidate for Mayor is of Cuban descent, Councilman Enrique Torres who has run before for Mayor.  The Wallingford Democrats have elected not to run a candidate for Mayor in 2015.
One may view Wallingford as a efficiently run, vibrant and dynamic community in Connecticut.  Bridgeport obviously has many issues.  Maybe Connecticut Democrats at all levels of government could pick up a few pointers in how to run efficient, ethical and honest government from Mayor Dickinson and the Wallingford Republicans. 

Two More Long Years In Democrat Connecticut

We have two more long years coming up here in Connecticut under the omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party and their economically incoherent budget.  After one of most ridiculous legislative sessions in our state's history, that eliminated any minority representation in the budget process, Connecticut's taxpayers on the hook for even more taxes and less economic growth and economic freedom.  And to add insult to injury the omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party and their economically incoherent budget has still produced a deficit even with the second highest tax increase in the state's history.
It is going to be a long two more years until the state elections for a new General Assembly in November of 2016 under the omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party and their economically incoherent budget.  Connecticut is pretty much out of any more sources of new tax revenue besides taxing groceries (which I am sure will be considered soon) and continues to lose taxpayers, population and business at a raid rate.
Thus the omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party and their economically incoherent budget solution in 2015 has been to further erode and tear apart Connecticut's economic foundation by raising taxes and enacting many laws that inhibit economic freedoms in the state.   Taxpayers have been shut out of the budget process and are silenced by the omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party.  It is a sham of state government.
The omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party and their economically incoherent budget presents itself as an ultimatum to Connecticut's taxpayers-work for us-give us your tax money or get out.
And Connecticut still has a debt $80 billion dollars.
And Connecticut still has a unfunded pension crisis.
And over the next two years more and more Connecticut residents will be moving out.
And one day in the not to distant future the omnipotent rule of the Connecticut Democrat party will end as Connecticut becomes economically bankrupt.
All due to one party rule.

Saturday's Random Government Debt Thoughts

Government Debt seems to be in the news today.
It mostly negative economic news on government debt.
We could first look at Greece and their debt.  Greece has relied on bailouts for the past five years and is lax in their tax collections.  They also have few people working since many are fully retired at an early age.  They are around $320 Billion Euros in debt.  They are borrowing once again to keep their government operational.  Their banks have been closed for two weeks now.  Depositors do not have access to their money.  Greece has monumental debt problems.
We could then look at Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico has many economic issues including the costs of shipping goods to the Island is expensive due to the 1920 Jones Act, an outdated obscure economically irrational law that forces all goods shipped to Puerto Rico to be shipped by an American ship.  Foreign ships that pass through the Caribbean can not drop off goods to the island on their way through due to this law.  Thus the costs of all goods is more expensive in Puerto Rico.  They are around $72 Billion Dollars in debt.  Public Corporations have around $25 Billions Dollars in debt also.  Many islanders are moving to the states.  Puerto Rico has monumental debt problems.
We could then look at Connecticut and their debt.  Connecticut according to a recent George Mason University Mercatus Center report ranked Connecticut 47th out of 50 states in fiscal health.  This means that Connecticut has and will have difficulty in paying both their short term and long term debts in the future.  One would not know this by the recent Democrat state budget that passed along with the announcement yesterday of $7 Million Dollars in pay raises for many state government managers.  Many Connecticut businesses and taxpayers are moving out of state.  Connecticut since is does not publish its debt can only be estimated.  I believe with the new budget Connecticut has about $70 to $80 Billion Dollars in both short term and long term debt and unfunded liabilities.  Connecticut has monumental debt problems.

Too bad our elected officials do not understand the economic consequences of its debt.  Too bad they are only worried about the spoils system they have created for the ruling elite.

July 1 In Connecticut-More Taxes, More Spending, More Businesses Moving Out, More Taxpyers Moving Out

Happy July Connecticut.  It is a happy day for the Connecticut Democrats.
However it is not happy for those work in Connecticut, own businesses in Connecticut and pay taxes in Connecticut.
It is a happy day for the Connecticut Democrats and Connecticut State Unions as they were able to eliminate all debate, all opposition and all legal challenges to the second highest tax increase in Connecticut's history.  The highest tax increase was just four years ago that was supposed to solve all of Connecticut's fiscal problems.  It is a happy day for the Connecticut Democrats as laws and the state constitution were completely disregarded in forming a $40 billion dollar two year state budget that increases spending, increases taxes and increases long term state debt to massive proportions.  It is a happy day for the Connecticut Democrats as they have been able to eliminate any opposition to the full implementation of a total one party rule here in Connecticut.
No debate on $40 billion dollars of spending.
No debate on new and higher taxes.
No debate from Republicans in the House and Senate who were elected representing over 40% plus of the state's population.
No debate on the elimination of a voter passed state constitution spending cap.
No debate-just Hartford's Omnipotent One Party in action and annihilation of any and all opposition to their rogue and lawless ways.
Happy July Connecticut.  It is a happy day for the Connecticut Democrats.
They have created a new form of socialism.  Connecticut Taxpayers will now work to infinity for Connecticut Democrats.  Sickening isn't it?

Connecticut's Budget Process

Let me try to understand Connecticut's budget process.  First a budget is presented that is out of balance.  The budget then has money taken off budget and placed somewhere else to avoid the mandated state constitutional spending cap.  Then taxes increase and the Connecticut Democrat Party states that the budget is a victory for the working middle class even though your taxes have increased again.  Debate on a $40 billion dollar budget is limited to less than four hours.  The minority Republican Party is not allowed in the budget talks even though they represent over 40% of the population of Connecticut.  The budget is signed even though there is a massive deficit forthcoming, taxes increase yet again and state spending increases yet again. 
It is a simple process whereby the Connecticut Democrat Party eliminates all opposition, all debate and all democracy out of the budget process.  It is a simple process that Connecticut Democrat Party places itself above any state laws, any state constitution and any questioning of their supreme Omnipotent One Party Rule.  Taxpayers can no longer question anything that Connecticut Democrat Party does in Connecticut. 
The Connecticut Democrat Party is the unchecked cancer that has infected and is economically ruining Connecticut.
It is a simple process to eliminate opposition here in Connecticut.

Taxation Without Representation Brought To You By Connecticut's Democrat Party

Many years ago our state was part of a group of colonists who had enough of taxation without representation from England and decided to declare their freedom so that they could have freedom at that time.  In 2015 the Democrat Party of Connecticut has decided that Connecticut taxpayers will also have taxation without representation as represented by an economically unsustainable and irrational budget they passed with no debate nor input from a governing minority party nor from the taxpaying public.
Middle class tax relief we are led to believe under this taxation without representation is in the form of yet even newer and higher taxes for Connecticut taxpayers.  A mere $2 Billion dollars more in taxes.  A Constitutional Spending Cap law is ignored and ridiculed by the Democrat Party of Connecticut under the guise of their own personal distaste for the rule of law. 
$85,000 plus benefits for a Democrat Party of Connecticut “Financial Literacy” position?  The Democrat Party of Connecticut hands out 12% binding pay increases for their politically connected?  The list is endless of the waste and fraud that goes on in Hartford-Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule of the Democrat Party of Connecticut.
Taxpayers work for the Democrat Party of Connecticut-they have successfully recreated taxation without representation in 2015. 

Connecticut Has Died A Slow Economic Death Today - May It Rest In Peace

And here we go again.
Middle class tax relief in the form of much new and higher taxes.
Only in Connecticut brought to you by Connecticut's Democrat Party.
The same party that brought you the highest tax increase in Connecticut's history a mere four years ago that was supposed to balance the budget and get Connecticut working again.
Now it brings you the second highest tax increase in  Connecticut's history a mere four years later that again is supposed to balance the budget and get Connecticut working again.

Instead Connecticut is now on an even more dangerous path of even more taxpayers and businesses moving out of the state due to this irresponsible tax and spending increase that has completely ignored the Constitutional Spending Cap.  This law does not exist in the Connecticut's Democrat Party.  Nor does any economic reasoning nor any restraint exist in the Connecticut's Democrat Party.

Sadly Connecticut has seen much better days.  We can see now a state government and legislature whose only concern are themselves and their power.  Connecticut has died a slow economic death today. Connecticut's Socialism is now complete from the passage of this budget.  May Connecticut rest in peace.

Connecticut Democrats can not wait to start taxing outpatient surgical centers at 6%.  Connecticut Democrats want and will get this tax and spin it as middle class tax relief.
Connecticut Democrats want and will get an elimination on the clothing and footwear exemption and thus be able to charge sales tax on all clothes and shoes in the state regardless of its cost.  Connecticut Democrats want and will get this tax and spin it as middle class tax relief.
Connecticut Democrats want and will get an increase in the special sales tax rate on data processing services from 1 to 3 percent.  Connecticut Democrats want and will get this tax and spin it as middle class tax relief.
Connecticut Democrats want and will get new top marginal rates on the income tax from single taxpayers earning in excess of $500,000 per year or married couples earning in excess of $1 million.
Connecticut Democrats want and will get this tax and spin it as middle class tax relief.
Connecticut Democrats want and will get more taxes by reducing the credit households can claim to offset their local property tax payments from $300 to $200. Connecticut Democrats want and will get this tax and spin it as middle class tax relief.

Connecticut taxpayers are really being punished by this new Connecticut Democrats tax and spend budget-Connecticut Democrats spin this all as great for Connecticut.  It is great for Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule to continue their rule-unyielding in the economic turmoil they are creating for anyone who works in Connecticut.  Connecticut Democrats continue their economic lies.

Connecticut's Taxpayer Funded Democrat Scandal

Connecticut's taxpayers in my opinion are disrespected on a daily basis by our government.  Connecticut's taxpayers work for government through the massive transfer of monetary income and wealth to our state government through an incredible amount of taxes and fees that are paid to Hartford.  Hartford in turn spends it any way they like with no consequences for their actions.
Connecticut's taxpayers are now funding the new Democrat scandal in Hartford in the loophole driven Citizens Election Funding program that allows for state taxpayers to help pay for the funding of state wide elections.  Over ten years and over $80  million dollars of Connecticut's taxpayers monies has been paid out in an effort to supposedly eliminate special interests in state elections.  The result to Connecticut's taxpayers is the same one party rule that we have had over the past ten years and little change in special interests influencing state elections.

"Out of the money spent, roughly 50-percent of all Democratic House and Senate candidates spent their taxpayer-funded grant money with only four consulting firms: CCM & Company out of West Hartford, a partnership between the Vinci Group and Farina Consulting in Manchester, DNA campaigns out of New Haven, and Berlin Rosen, from New York City.

CCM & Company is operated by Christian Murray, who first started working for the Democratic House Caucus in 1998 designing direct-mail pieces. As the preferred vendor for House Democrats in 2014, he took in nearly $1 million by consulting for 71 campaigns, 64 of them in the House.

Murray says the task of managing all those campaigns is all in the planning. He argues direct mail is the only way to guarantee a candidates message gets to their targeted audience. He says the great majority of the $935,000 his company was paid went to printing, production and postage.

The second highest paid vendor in 2014 was a company owned by now former state representative Geoff Luxenberg, who chose not to seek re-election in 2014 to allow his wife Kelly to run and win the seat.

While a sitting legislator, Luxenberg’s Vinci Group, in partnership with Farina Consulting, took in more than $800,000, mostly legislative races.

Luxenberg isn’t the only office holder or family member of a sitting legislator to be paid hundreds of thousands of dollars off the system. Greg Gerratana and his wife Jessica have received more than $1 million worth of business since the program was implemented in 2008.

They are the son and daughter-in-law of State Sen. Terry Gerratana.

Greg Gerratana partnered with Christian Murray in 2012, earning more than $430,000.

This year, his wife Jessica’s company, Total Graphic Solutions, took in more than $250,000.
The company was paid nearly $700,000 from statewide and legislative races in 2010.

Luxenberg, the Gerratanas, Democratic House and Caucus leadership all declined to speak on the record."

We could argue that as Connecticut taxpayers we have again been stolen from and lied to by our state government.  We could argue that as Connecticut taxpayers over $80 million dollars of our money could have gone to better use.  But we can not argue that as Connecticut taxpayers because we have no say in our state government any more.  State government and in particular Hartford's Democrats seek any advantage and every opportunity to legally steal from Connecticut taxpayers.  The Connecticut taxpayers financing of this new scandal is yet another example of a stale and corrupted state government that works for a connected few.  Not in any way for Connecticut taxpayers.  It is time to repeal this law.

Connecticut's New Economic Language

Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule have created their own language in Connecticut.  It may be difficult for the remaining taxpayers in the state to understand these new definitions to words thus I wish to clarify them for my readers.
Budget Deficit-A concept that does not exist in Connecticut during reelections of candidates led by Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule, for example their were no budget deficits during the campaign but a $200 million dollar budget deficit after the election.  However the budget deficit does not exist due to most line items in the budget are taken off to show a surplus.
Budget Surplus-Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule always have budget surpluses by taking spending off the budget and placing it in an unknown area.  For example state pension liabilities are off budget.
Senior Executive Assistant For Financial Literacy-Is a political position that needs no background or work experience in business, finance or economics or obviously financial literacy.  Democratic state Treasurer Denise Nappier needs this assistant to help create financial literacy in Connecticut.  The qualifications for the job which is not a posted exam position for state employment are that you run for State Senate as a Democrat, lose and then get paid $85,000 plus benefits of state taxpayer's monies for the job.
Funding for State Pensions-Are a fascinating look at progressive Democrat economic thought in Connecticut.  Chronic underfunding base upon wild, Utopian investment returns is how it is funded.  Connecticut has the highest pensions in the country and rank 49th in funding for them.  Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule believe that they are funded adequately.
Long Term Unfunded Liabilities-Basically do not exist in Connecticut.  This $80 billion dollars of long term unfunded liabilities should be dealt with by future elected officials and are of course the fault of the minority Connecticut Republican party.  You just keep borrowing to fund them.
Mandatory Constitutional Spending Cap-Is a hindrance to Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule chronic spending.  This cap that was enacted through voters is a useless law that has, should be and will be ignored by Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule. 
State Income Tax-Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule use this tax to penalize those remaining people who work here in Connecticut to help protect their ruling and elite political machines by giving them jobs and subsidies.  It helps to create their constant spending.
Ranking Last In Most Economic Categories-Is misleading to Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule because we have turned a corner to economic prosperity and growth according to their rhetoric.  Ranking last means to them a need for even more spending and new and higher taxes for Connecticut. 
I hope you are more informed on the new economic language of Connecticut.  It is sad but true that Connecticut has no financial literacy in Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule current regime.

Connecticut's Massive Spending Problem Over And Over Again

Connecticut's massive spending problem rolls on.  And on and on.  And the solution once again is to raise taxes.  To raise taxes on basically all goods and services that still exist in Connecticut.  To remind my readers here are the taxes that the Democrat Party wish to increase:

– Impose sales and use tax on other accounting services to increase revenue by $10.5 million in FY 2016 and $13.4 million in FY 2017
– Impose sales and use tax on architectural services to increase revenue by $16 million in FY 2016 and $20.4 million in FY 2017

These tax increases are apparently justified due to a 12% plus pay increase that the Governor rammed through in December for his inner circle, a lifetime pension for State Judges after serving for three years, state pensions that are in some cases 90% of base plus overtime salaries for life,
corporate welfare for the state's largest corporations in return for Democrat campaign donations, just to name a few.  I guess these examples are all essential state spending to keep Hartford's ruling elite satisfied and in power forever.  
Looking back at the lies of the last Governor's campaign and in particular Dannel Malloy lies about no budget deficits, we as taxpayers should start viewing our state government as a constant lie- a lie that state officials created. Now State Democrats ultimately believe that their lies are actually truth.  We have a massive Democratic Party spending problem in Hartford.  It is not a lie but reality.  Taxes no longer will solve Dannel Malloy's and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule spending problems.  Our state has lost yet once again.

Connecticut's Economic Exit Continues.

Connecticut's economic exit continues.  The signal has been the recent hilarious supposed budget negotiations (obviously all one sided) that presents to taxpayers a mere $1.8 billion dollars in new taxes and tax increases along with a further expansion of long term unfunded debt by a minimum of $1.5 billion dollars that will result with still a $165 million dollar budget deficit for the new budget itself.  You may remember the $2 billion dollars in tax increases that Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule shoved down taxpayers throats a few years back.  Those tax increases we were told were going to right the economic path of our state.  We were also told in the last campaign by a defiant Dannel Malloy that there were no budget deficits and the state was doing well economically. 
What a lie.  What a horrible economic lie this administration and legislature has been for the past 5 years.  It is disgusting.
And what is in store two years from now steal $2 billion in spending off a mandated state constitution spending cap with $2 billion dollars more in new taxes and higher taxes?  Can we safely state that Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule have a spending problem?  12% percent pay increases for political appointments?  Lifetime full pensions for judges who serve for only three years?  $1.7 billions dollars in state pensions yearly and growing on a daily basis?  $80 billion dollars plus in long term unfunded liabilities?
Connecticut ranks last in many economic categories as we approach our 25th year in economic decline.  With this tax increase it will further cement its last place finish in many economic categories.  It has become a state of economic decline and misery.
Too bad for taxpayers since Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule could care less about Connecticut any more.  Nor could taxpayers care less any more either about their elected officials who no longer represent them.

The State Constitution is a worthless piece of paper meant to be viewed anyway Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule wishes to. 
Now for taxpayers there really is no State Constitution Spending Cap nor ever has been one. 
Now for taxpayers more mandated budget items will magically disappear into the black hole of even more long lasting long term unfunded debt.  Last count if anyone cares $80 billion dollars and growing.
Now for taxpayers Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule new budget makes another $4 billion dollars of spending go away magically off budget.  Thus they are under the State Constitution Spending Cap that they do not believe in nor feels that it actually exists.  What a farce of state government!  And spending still is increasing in this new state budget.  
Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule has blatant disregard for a spending cap that was voted for by voters in 1992 as a legal Constitutional Amendment-the vote is null and void in 2015.  How can this vote be rescinded like that?
Maybe Connecticut's taxpayers should start moving paying their state taxes off budget, not pay them at all and emulate their supposed elected officials.  Isn't that fair?  Why would it not be?

Silence Is Golden Especially If You Are Bankrupt

Silence is golden.  It is peaceful.  Especially if you are bankrupt.  Our state government in my economic opinion is economically and morally bankrupt.  Long term debt keep rising and it seems to most taxpayers that the bulk of Connecticut's budget goes to salaries, benefits and pensions.   Roads are in disrepair, bridges crumbling, judges receive full pensions after three years of work, corporate welfare is rampant, the list seems endless as to Connecticut's economic demise.  And Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule seem completely oblivious to the economic ruin and demise they have created in Connecticut during their reign.
We are bankrupt in our state.  We continue to push off the real economic issues of excessive state spending that is non productive and basically is spent nurturing a ruling elite that enjoys at taxpayers expense high wages, great benefits and fully funded pensions that no longer exist in private industry.
We are bankrupt in our state.  Taxpayers continue to move out and businesses have no reason to move to Connecticut.  We are last in many economic categories. It is pathetic to see this happening.
The state Republicans have put forth a budget that actually examines the issues of state spending and more importantly looks at salaries, benefits and pensions for state employees.  But to me it is only a starting point to reconnect economic reality to our bloated state government.
Silence is golden-the Republicans have made the first move.  Too bad Dannel Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule can not govern nor put forth a real state budget.  The economic crisis here is real and taxpayers have had enough.
