Hats off to the United States Senate.
We really do not need to read the new Immigration Bill that will be voted on in the Senate.
Senators do not need to read the 1200+ page bill.
Taxpayers do not need to know how much it will cost.
Legal and law abiding citizens do not need to know how it will impact their personal freedoms.
Here are some of the actual amendments in the bill:
Youth Jobs Fund which will add $1,500,000,000 to this fund-what it will do besides cost taxpayers $1,500,000,000 is beyond me.
Under additional border patrol funds is the indefinite funding for the Corporation for Travel Promotion that apparently funds a Nevada tourism fund which obviously is Harry Reid's piece of pork in the bill.
A Summer Work Travel Program In Seafood Processing is also included which will somehow force the State Department to layoff temporary immigrants who work in Alaska's seafood processing plants. That amendment should really help border security.
There are more which I can not research not find information on. Just another dirty secret of "public" bills in our government.
Hats off to the United States Senate. Their illiteracy is astounding.
I applaud Texas Senator Ted Cruz who is fighting against this bill, it is too bad we in Connecticut have no representation in the Senate.
Hats off to the United States Senate.
We really do not need to read the new Immigration Bill that will be voted on in the Senate.

Only In Connecticut
Only in Connecticut.
Land of high taxes.
Land of poor economic opportunities.
Land of less personal freedom.
Land of corrupted state government.
Land of waste, fraud and deception.
Land of lasts.
Only in Connecticut can a $400 million tax increase be considered no increase in taxes.
Only in Connecticut can a 4% increase in state spending be called a budget cut.
Only in Connecticut can our State Legislators double dip being able to earn taxpayer's monies and then be influenced by his or her employer in voting favorably for legislation that helps that employer.
Only in Connecticut can the State Constitutional Cap on spending be disregarded and the law be broken by our elected officials.
Only in Connecticut can not a damn thing be done that helps taxpayer's in any way, shape, or form.

Connecticut- Famous For Economic Lasts
Connecticut and Hartford's One Party Rule should be proud of all of the categories that we rank last in and near the bottom of 50 states economically. With the new budget which is an economic nightmare and unsustainable we should have a few more lasts in the near future.
Here is the record that Governor Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule will run on in 2014:
One of the highest workers compensation costs in the country-Rank 49 out of 50 states
Worse state in the country to retire in.
$49,000 per citizen debt burden, one of the highest in the country
Ranks last in the country in credit quality.
Last state in the country to achieve Tax Freedom Day-May 5th.
Dan Malloy a "F" grade on Fiscal Policy from the Cato Institute.
Educational achievement gap in public education is the worse in the country.
Highest fuel taxes in the country beginning on July 1.
Third highest overall tax burden in the country.
One of the worse road and bridge infrastructures in the country.
Last in economic growth in the country with a falling gross domestic product for 2012.
Near last in job creation.
Massive population decline over the past 20 years.
$60-$80 billion dollars in unfunded liabilities.
Please remember this is the record that Governor Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule will be running on in 2014. This is the Democratic party's record for 2014.
Maybe just maybe it is time for a change.

My Connecticut Economic Dream
I dream a great deal. I had a dream the other night which I knew was a dream only.
In my dream Connecticut was a robust and dynamic state once again. In my dream I saw well kept neighborhoods with citizens prospering and working jobs of all sorts. In my dream I saw students learning in the public education system, gaining skills and learning self sufficiency. In my dream I saw the state income tax eliminated and state spending cut back dramatically. In my dream I saw the state government eliminate laws that encroached on our personal freedoms. In my dream I saw in my dream businesses flourishing and expanding creating jobs and income for all. In my dream I saw a dynamic transportation system with well maintained roads and bridges. In my dream I saw a renaissance of economic activity and personal freedom.
But then I woke up in a cold sweat-then I remembered.
I remembered how bad our state and government is.
I remembered the entitlement mentality of our state government.
I remembered how many personal freedoms we no longer have.
I remembered how bad our road and bridge structure is.
I remembered how businesses have and will move out of state.
I remembered how many jobs are permanently lost in our state.
I remembered how high taxes are in our state.
My Connecticut economic dream instead is a realistic economic nightmare.
A lack of personal freedoms.
Poor road and bridge infrastructure.
Excessively high taxes.
A poor business climate.
My Connecticut economic nightmare is real.

The Wasted Connecticut State Legislature-Or The End To Open Government That Taxpayers Support
Connecticut once again has wasted an entire legislative session. However when one reads the glowing and self serving comments that Governor Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule give themselves, one wonders where their fantasy comes from?
Does it come from the massive increase in taxes that we have endured since Governor Malloy has taken office?
Does it come from the massive defunding of governmental watchdog agencies so that laws can be broken at will with no consequences by Hartford's One Party Rule?
Does it come from bills being written in secret and against the standard laws of our state constitution?
Does it come from bills being passed with no public hearing on them?
Does it come from a false budget which can only create deficits in the long run?
There were no answers by this session-only more severe economic problems for the future. What we have in Hartford's One Party Rule is a free-for-all of personal gain, personal promotion, unethical and illegal behavior which is supported by you and I the taxpayers of Connecticut.
The battle line has been drawn, Hartford's One Party Rule must end quickly. We as taxpayers need to voice our displeasure at this mockery of government. Better yet we as taxpayers must defund Hartford's One Party Rule today.

Connecticut's False Budget
Hartford's One Party Rule has just passed one of the most pathetic budgets in our states history. Amid gimmicks, transfers off line of the budget, higher taxes, greater long run deficits-Hartford's One Party Rule calls this a budget.
In reality it is a lie to call this a budget in economic terms. It is just more tax and spend gimmicks. And I am shocked that three Democrat Senators actually would vote against what their party dictates for them to do and actually vote against the budget. Too bad a fourth Democratic Senator did not have the same guts..
Here is the economic reality of this new budget.
First it still increases taxes. The Secret Gross Earnings Tax on gasoline goes up July 1 by four cents a gallon to make Connecticut have the highest gas taxes in the country. $300 million in taxes that were supposed to end on July 1 will continue. Apparently Hartford's One Party Rule has new definitions as to what tax increases mean.
Second it still increases spending. Spending is up once again by 4%. It creates an automatic budget deficit for the coming fiscal years. The unconstitutional move off budget of $6.4 billion dollars to a separate fund is illegal and wrong. It is one of the most blatant lies that Hartford's One Party Rule has force fed taxpayers. My economic question to Hartford's One Party Rule is simple-what happens if federal funding ends for this off budget account? What do you do then?
Third the shell game continues as funds were raided, money being transferred from one account to another. Why was this done? It make no sense economically.
And finally since nothing has been done for the $80 billion dollars in long term unfunded liabilities the state owes, we will be in a long term fiscal free fall for future generations. The state no longer has the taxing capabilities to get out of this long term fiscal obligation with continuing losses in jobs, employers, citizens and tax revenues. It can not be maintained.
Hartford's One Party Rule has brought Connecticut's economy to its knees. This budget has helped to seal the coffin that taxpayers must work in.

More Great Connecticut News! Illegals Get Driver Licenses! Thanks Once Again To One Party Rule In Hartford!
I have to hand it to One Party Rule in Hartford. They abide by no laws, rules nor the State Constitution.
They just do whatever they want, whenever they want and however they want.
No ethics, lies all the time and fraud.
They no longer represent Connecticut in any way, shape or form.
Rammed down the throats of those who pay taxes, work and live in Connecticut legally is the new law passed at 5:48am this morning to give illegal immigrants drivers licenses on 1/1/15.
Democracy really functions well at this time of the morning.
And this is really the most important problem in Connecticut in 2013?
The hell with the deficits, excessive taxation and high unemployment.
The hell with Hartford's One Party Rule.
74 Democrats voted in favor of this insulting bill to allow these licenses.
What about the rights of those legal Connecticut citizens who pay taxes in our state?
We no longer exist according to Hartford's One Party Rule.
Thus we as taxpayers must stop funding this mockery of our elected government.
Now.

Political Lies And Scandals And Connecticut's Secret Gross Earnings Tax On Gasoline Is Going Up To 8.1% on July 1.
There are many. Too numerous for just one column. And Connecticut's Secret Gross Earnings Tax on gasoline is going up to 8.1% on July 1, increasing the cost of driving even more here in Corrupticut.
In Hartford, one wonders how anything is actually done on either side of the aisle with the current scandal on vote purchasing continuing to unwind. Several convictions and our elected officials in unison know of nothing that happened during this time. Amazing. I really laughed at what Chris Donovan said yesterday-amazing as a former Head of the House of Representatives you knew nothing about what was going on. Nor did Larry Cafero know anything that was going on either.
Logically one can assume that if one has enough money to donate to either party in Hartford one can influence their vote and your self interest will be fulfilled on a certain piece of legislation. Sort of like taxpayers monies being used to pay for corrupted lobbyists in Hartford. It truly is a culture of corruption, greed and fraud which is what our State Government has turned into.
In Washington, our Commander-In-Chief knows nothing going on in either his Administration, nor the Departments that run our Federal Government. Wow. Four Americans dead, left behind by their government, the stonewalling of the IRS and the theft of reporters emails and messages. Wow.
Our President and his Administration know nothing at all. Yet Mr. Obama enjoys his parties, vacations and fund raisers. That is obviously more important than being a President and leading his country. This is how a President leads his country?
The list seems endless of scandals, lies and thefts by our Federal and State Governments.
One last thought: maybe we as taxpayers need to start to reject our funding of this culture of corruption in Hartford and Washington. Accountability-no-lies-yes. Welcome to our corrupt Government in 2013.

Power, Corruption-Washington and Hartford In Unison. Garbage For Government
Does power and politics corrupt? Is there any limit to the power of political corruption? Is there any limits to the power of our State and Federal government? Can they be limited?
More importantly why is our tax monies being used to supports this type of corruption?
The political corruption seems to never end in Connecticut.
Nor either in Washington. The current scandals and cover ups in Washington are enormous.
You mean to tell me that our tax monies are being used to investigate those who have a different political view than the current administration and that information is being given to a news organization?
Our phone conversations I guess are no longer private either.
You do not see the misuse of the City of Hartford's credit cards which are paid for by Hartford taxpayers monies?
You do not see the political payoffs and corruption of our State Legislature? The Donovan debacle is no longer front page news in Connecticut-hushed up as usual.
Why should the Republicans offer a budget? It is automatically ridiculed by the Democrats-they own the state and the economic debacle we are in.
Garbage for government. And our tax monies are being used to support the power and corruption.
It is time for a change and time to stop funding the power and corruption that is our government.

If Connecticut's Economy Is Broken Can We Do Something Different-No Just Keep Spending And Raising Taxes
Is Connecticut's economy broken? In my economic opinion yes. Is Hartford's One Party Rule doing anything about it? No. Thus let us just keep increasing state spending and raise taxes. Done and over.
Until the next survey or poll comes out. And the finger pointing and blame starts.
This new survey by "Chief Executive Magazine" ranks Connecticut as 45th out of 50 states in doing business. From their website http://chiefexecutive.net/connecticut-is-the-45th-best-state-for-business-2013 Here are a few quotes from CEO's who responded to the survey:
“Connecticut is a tax and spend, Democrat-controlled state with no debate. The state agencies do not coordinate their actions and there are several that could be combined as they each have a part in incentives or solutions. Governor Malloy is more visible than prior governors, but likes to pick winners and losers rather than establish an environment for all businesses as other states do.”
“Connecticut is the worst. Poor leadership.”

To me it is more of the same, more wasted state resources, more wasted productivity and labor. Just really more of the same tax and spend policies which continue to fail our economy. $12 billion dollars in increased state spending over the last twenty years with nothing to show for it other than excessive debt, excessive long term unfunded liabilities and an elitist centralized government in Hartford.
Why can't state spending be cut? Why can't Commissioners be downsized and positions eliminated? Why so many duplicate programs? Why can't taxes actually be cut to stimulate the state economy?
Connecticut's economy is broken and continues to be broken by the excessive demands of Hartford's One Party Rule.
State spending needs to be cut now. State government needs to be downsized and streamlined. Political elitism and patronage needs to end on both sides of the political aisle. Connecticut's economy needs to be the priority of our elected officials not a Utopian playground to use for personal and political gain at taxpayer's expense.

The Chronic Tax And Spend Issues Of Connecticut
Before I get into the chronic tax and spend issues of Connecticut, I really would like to know what our government is doing to free Kenneth Bae, a US Citizen who was captured and is being held prisoner by North Korea. It is time to end all diplomatic channels with North Korea and take military force against this irrational and rogue country. All prisoners in North Korea need to be freed once and for all.
Now back to the chronic economic issues of our state.
Another $500 million in projected tax revenue will not be coming in any time soon for the state. I do not know why this is even being treated as news since we are in a massive economic recession in Connecticut due to horrific taxes and excessive state spending. Connecticut has no economic plan other than tax and spend.
And an entire legislative session has been wasted on mythical gun control along giving illegal aliens anything they want.
Maintaining the current level of spending will only lead to another massive tax increase. All this while our Governor travels and leads the good life at ultimately taxpayers expense. I truly hope he has had a great time seeing the country and world rather than governing.
Connecticut has an economic paralysis. Cronyism has replaced coherent economic thought and policies. I do not understand why the media has not reported the true economic news in our state.
More businesses will be moving out of state (i.e. state gun manufacturers), more spending by state government and yet even more and higher state taxes are arriving.
It is truly the chronic tax and spend issues of Hartford's One Party Rule.

Do Not Worry Connecticut's Rulers Are Well Above Any Laws
It really never ends for taxpayers and their lack of representation in government.
Our biased media again gives a free ride to the Esty clan of Connecticut for their actions.
First we see that our Department of Environmental Protection Czar Dan Esty briefs USB Securities about pending legislation. This briefing in my economic opinion is insider information which can be used to influence the purchase and or sale of a traded security to benefit the insider. It apparently has been given its blessing by our government and media. Obviously, Esty denies any wrong doing, he has made a public statement that he did nothing wrong.
However in my economic opinion his discussion of pending legislation can and will influence the purchase of stock and securities that are directly related to that legislation. It is illegal. However here in Connecticut our ruling elite are above any laws.
Dan's wife United States Representative Elizabeth Esty from the Fifth District decides to finally return campaign contributions that she received from Northeast Utilities executives and lobbyists. She apparently only decides to do this after the National Republican Congressional Committee brings to light that she received this money from a company which is influenced by her husband's decisions as Department of Environmental Protection Czar. Dan Esty was also a paid consultant for Northeast Utilities for eight years from 1997 to 2005. Thus she finally gives the money back two years later.
Again we hear little about this nor is it really questioned by our government or media.
I guess this is how she truly represents those people in her district.
To me there are few laws that govern our elected and paid governmental officials here in Connecticut. There is little done to prevent unethical behavior, crime and corruption using taxpayers monies. It is the corruption of our government along with our forced taxed support of it which continues to be unanswered. It is a crime and rape that taxpayers must endure here in Connecticut.

The Political Gain In Flight Delays Or How To Damage Our Economy More
Let us now punish those who fly.
Let us now have political gain by the Obama Administration.
The sequester cuts which have now taken hold by the Federal Aviation Administration are forcing air traffic controllers to be furloughed and thus creating an economically manufactured crisis of the greatest proportions for those who fly.
And how safe is our air flight now with even less air traffic controllers on duty?
Thus we must examine how much extra economic burden this is now creating in our economy. The loss of time and money is now enormous for those who must travel for business purposes. The loss of time and money for those carriers who carry freight and products is now enormous.
The economic blame should be placed directly on the FAA and Mr. Obama.
Yet we still see the President flying anywhere in the country he chooses. Maybe that money could have been used to stop these furloughs.
Yet we still see no cuts to the additional $123 million dollars to Syria. Maybe that money could have been used to stop these furloughs.
Yet we still see no cuts to the $750 million given to Mexico. Maybe that money could have been used to stop these furloughs.
Yet we see no cuts to salaries and benefits or staffs to our Congressional Representatives and Senators. Maybe that money could have been used to stop these furloughs.
In my economic opinion there were many other ways to save money in the FAA rather than punish those who fly.
My suggestion to resolving this issue is to bill three fold, the FAA, your elected US Representative and your elected US Senators for your time wasted and lost due to these excessive waits and delays for your flights. That will create some economic realism for these economically illiterate paid and elected officials who supposedly represent us.
Let us now punish those who fly.
Let us now have political gain by the Obama Administration.
Let us now bill them for our lost productivity and time.

Why Negotiate With North Korea?
Why should the United States negotiate with North Korea? What is the purpose to continue to allow this rogue, anti humanitarian country to continue to exist? What is the point?
North Korea has brutal human rights violations. North Korea has no economy except for its military. It despises freedom and the free markets. It prefers to starve its people rather than allow for food in its economy. Famine is the way of life in this country. Its people are brutalized into submission by its government.
Why should the United States negotiate with North Korea? What is the purpose?
North Korea is an axis of evil. It serves no purpose other than to taunt the rest of the world with its illogical and irrational military mind games. It offers nothing. It is time for the rest of the world to stand up against the North Korean rhetoric and demand that its people be set free. Strategically North Korea offers nothing for our world except a safe haven for a brutal and unyielding dictator who is given legitimacy by the some countries in the world.
We must take a strong stand against this country immediately. There is no purpose in negotiating with North Korea. It is time for this regime to go for the good of our world. No negotiations, now or in the future. Let its people become free.

Connecticut's Unfunded Liabilities Keep Growing And Growing
Connecticut's unfunded liabilities. They keep growing and growing. Have they been addressed by Mr. Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule?
The answer is simple-no. They keep growing and growing.
And growing and growing. Connecticut has over $20 billion dollars in bond debt. Money borrowed through bonds for projects and now for day-to-day operational expenses of the state.
It also has about another $46 to $60 billion dollars in unfunded liabilities. These areas include state employee and teacher pensions, along with state employees post health and life care (retirement benefits).
Mr. Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule answer to all this is to increase spending by another 10%, increase taxes and look the other way at this massive long term economic crisis that is facing our state.
Mr. Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule are delusion when it comes to our economic issues facing Connecticut. With the new costly gun law we will see the remaining gun industry leave the state, thus losing even more jobs and more tax revenues, not to the mention the actual costs of around $25 to $35 million to enact the new law, which in my economic opinion only allows guns to be owned by the police and criminals who will continue to get their guns illegally.
The most simplistic solution is to cut spending in Hartford quickly and efficiently. There is no longer any need to have a state our size spend $20 plus billion dollars a year and have the economic blight and poor conditions that we have here. There is no more need for layers upon layers of upper level management in non producing, non productive, show only state jobs burdening taxpayers with excessive salaries and pensions.
Mr. Malloy and Hartford's One Party Rule are lost economically and need to be voted out of office in 2014.
We can not sustain this path to economic ruin any more.

For Your Information-Here Was The Vote-And By The Way Where Is The $17 Million Plus To Implement It?
Here is the vote from last night's gun law vote here in Connecticut-by the way the first estimates in is that it will cost $17 million plus to implement this new law. And for your information taxpayers in Connecticut work the longest to pay for their taxes in the country. Our Tax Freedom Day is May 13th. Also for your information 10 Senators and 44 Representatives were brave enough to vote against this "bi-partisan" bill. And was anything written in the bill by the state to guarantee that we will as tax paying citizens would be protected by someone who pulls an illegal gun on us?
We really need to start voting with our feet.
We really need to start voting with our feet.
