Can Connecticut State Government Ever Recover What It Has Squandered From Its Citizens?

Can Connecticut State Government Ever Recover what it Has Squandered From Its Citizens? This is a serious question that is never answered by anyone in government, regardless of political affiliation. The issue of the day is a Republican proposal to suspend of one of Connecticut's taxes on gasoline that costs 25 cents per gallon during a time when fuel costs are elevated. Ruling Commander Democrat Governor Ned Lamont is possibly (maybe-might) willing to call a special session before the election if the Republicans can come up with the $128 million dollars in savings to offset the loss of tax revenue from not collecting this tax.

Lamont’s response is laughable and comical. Let us examine some areas where savings can take place in the exorbitant $28 billion dollar state budget that could save Connecticut taxpayers a great deal of money for the rest of this year and next.

First, how about the paying back of over $15 million dollars from Democrat State Senator Douglas McCrory’s pilfering in the mishandling of money with the Blue Hills Civic Association? The mighty Great Administrative State of Connecticut, the Office of The Attorney General, and the Militant Department of Revenue Services all have the power to lien, levy and seize the assets of McCrory and his co-participants of this larceny to make the people whole. Is any of that happening? Have any politicians demanded this? It is known that several Republican candidates have, but the staid establishment is cowardly silent on this issue.

Second, how about the elimination of "media-messaging- verification" bills that cost Connecticut Taxpayers $72 million dollars a year starting in 2020? This is money laundered out to elicit state run media for glowing articles and stories on the great things that the Connecticut Democrat Party does in the state.

Third, how about the elimination and abolishment of Connecticut's Department of Community and Economic Development? Since it is difficult to ascertain the amount of money that they spend, squandered, lent out and have written off completely in non-paid loans/grants, an assumption of $100 million dollars could be saved. With the money they have been spending over the years one wonders why Connecticut still ranks in the bottom five states in the country for business development, business growth, and economic growth? But I shortchange myself. The pizzazz-filled and substance-lacking “Quantum CT” effort in New Haven is taking $121 million dollars for the sake of gambling on science projects for the elite, with no benefit whatsoever for taxpayers. My friend and colleague Tony De Angelo did a brilliant job of explaining that on the October 8, 2026, edition of THIRTY WITH TONY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAVg4MNPnag&t=3641s The total silence on this obvious casino gaming with tax dollars and the abolishment of the Department of Economic and Community Development resonates and radiates across both sides of the aisle.

Fourth, how much (and when) will be paid back in School Construction Grants by the recently convicted new resident of Greece, Kosta Diamantis? One can estimate conservatively $10 to 20 million dollars between bribes and cost overruns can be recovered there if one will only work to find out where it ended up.

Fifth. How about Robert Cappelletti, the former executive director of housing authorities in both Meriden and Groton? Will the $16 million dollars in fraud he allegedly committed in his schemes ever be paid back? Again, the mighty Great Administrative State of Connecticut, the Office of The Attorney General, and the militant Department of Revenue Services all have the power to lien, levy and seize the assets of Cappelletti and any co-participants of this larceny in order to make the people whole. Is any of that happening? Have any politicians at all demanded this?

Sixth, how much does Medicare fraud cost the state? $1.3 million dollars of alleged fraud was committed by Jacqueline Pelphrey, formerly of Manchester, who owned and operated “Women’s Health Resources Inc.”, d/b/a “Essentials for the Special Woman”, in Vernon. Will this be paid back? Or. Habroon Habib from Middletown, who pleaded guilty to operating an unlawful money-transmitting business and submitting $1.9 million dollars in fraudulent Medicare Advantage claims for unrequested durable medical equipment routed through Pakistan? Will this be paid back?

Seventh, there is always how much did Connecticut Taxpayers subsidize Governor Ned Lamont's family Oak HC/FT hedge fund over the past eight years? Connecticut Taxpayers seem never to get any information on  Infosys Limited, Digital Currency Group and its affiliates, "ADVANCECT", Boston Consulting Group, UNITE US (CT), Mt. Sinai Genomics, "Thermo Fisher Scientific", "Sema 4", " Core Informatics", "Ocrulus", "Urjanet", "1life Healthcare", "Galileo Health", "Castlight Health", "Paladina Health", "4-CT", and "VillageMD ““The Horsebarn Hill Investment Fund”, McKinsey, “CT Next”, and the Tidal River Fund, “Baby Bonds” portfolio, the UCONN Foundation?  Or are they able to see the Governor's tax returns from the past five years? Thus, one may assume that since had made over $50 million dollars several ago from investments, he may now be looking at profits of $250 to $350 million dollars. How much was taken from Connecticut Taxpayers a secret, or is it? How much was funneled to the secret Cayman Islands? It will depend how much credibility you give to Kosta Diamantis and his email to his lawyer.

Not counting Lamont's failure to disclose cash profits, I have examined well over $330 million dollars in savings in these limited areas. The Democrat Party, as the cause of most of these rip-offs, then blames the Republican Party for wanting to suspend the gas tax for a few months because the state will lose $128 million dollars in tax revenue! Do you see great irony in this? Many do. The corrupt Connecticut Democrat Party is in full force for this election. Corruption, deception, and fraud do not seem to bother them at all.

Doesn't it bother you, the Connecticut Taxpayer? If it does why bother voting for them ever again?

Do You Wonder If Connecticut Is A Part Of America Anymore?

“We're strong because we still believe in a bedrock principle: We are a government of, by, and for the people, not the other way around. And we're strong because we know that true greatness begins with the deepest treasures of the human spirit, with faith and courage, with loyalty and love, with a quiet, unselfish devotion to our families, our neighbors, and our nation.” President Ronald Reagan August 19, 1984, the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia

"Many of these aliens unlawfully within the United States present significant threats to national security and public safety, committing vile and heinous acts against innocent Americans. Others are engaged in hostile activities, including espionage, economic espionage, and preparations for terror-related activities. Many have abused the generosity of the American people, and their presence in the United States has cost taxpayers billions of dollars at the Federal, State, and local levels.

Enforcing our Nation’s immigration laws is critically important to the national security and public safety of the United States. The American people deserve a Federal Government that puts their interests first and a Government that understands its sacred obligation to prioritize the safety, security, and financial and economic well-being of Americans." President Trump The White House January 20, 2025

If you have lived in the once-proud and fiscally-sound state of Connecticut, do you feel that you have surrendered your rights as an American citizen, and that your biggest enemies to those rights are the Great Connecticut Administrative State and the Democrat-controlled government?

As a for-instance, have you been a victim of crime of any sort? Do you feel safe, especially if you live in a major city in Connecticut? Do you feel safe filling up your gas tank at 10 o'clock at night on the way home from your second job? Do you question why some criminals in Connecticut have numerous outstanding warrants and keep committing crimes while no one in state government cares about that? Do you also question why Connecticut Taxpayers are supporting those in the state who are here illegally? Do you wonder why the serially incompetent Secretary Of The State Stephanie Thomas consistently evades (or dodges) any efforts to prove and verify voter integrity? Do you ever wonder if her evasiveness is due to the protection of illegal voters on the voter rolls? Do you feel like you are in fear of crime, theft and murder in your everyday work and tasks?

Let us move along: Do you feel your cost of living is too high in Connecticut? Are you working several jobs to make ends meet? Do you feel you are getting very little to nothing in return for the obscene amount of money you pay in taxes on a local and state level to support governmental incompetence and redundancy in many cases? Do you feel you are getting ripped off by your government. especially in seeing the sheer volume of crimes that Democrat Party and other elected officials and “public servants” have committed with your tax monies?  Do you wonder why there are never any answers about the runaway short and long term multi-billion-dollar debt along with unfunded liabilities of Connecticut's bloated governmental bureaucracy? Do you wonder why the Governor refuses to release his tax returns, but you must jump through hoops if you are a victim of a tax audit or any other pursuit by the lovely Connecticut administrative state?

Do you feel that your children are getting a good education that is unbiased and strong on skills essential to living a productive life? Do you feel it is wrong that your schools in some cases are exposing your children to perverted sexual activities along with sex change options? Do you feel that you are being treated and looked down upon as a criminal if you are choosing homeschooling for your children? Do you worry that your child will be a victim of crime and or criminal activity as has become the norm in many of Connecticut's inner cities and towns? Do you wonder why the Connecticut Democrat Party places such a low value on human life with their promotion of policies on freedom for criminals, veneration of illegal aliens. full term abortion, encouragement of sex changes at a young age, and assisted suicide?

Do you feel something is radically wrong in Connecticut and that the stench of decay is being emitted from the Connecticut Democrat Party? Do you see something wrong with Democrat Senator Chris Murphy fund raising out of Connecticut for a noted America-hating Communist/Socialist Democrat? Do you see something wrong with Attorney General Tong's daily diatribes against the Republican President of the United States, disregard for Federal laws and his outright condemnation of those Connecticut Taxpayers who have the audacity to support President Trump? Do you feel this quote by Tong should disqualify him from office; "“I think it's high time every single Republican candidate tells us in this state where you stand. Do you stand with Donald Trump, or do you stand with us? Because how can you support this president when he has tried to take all federal funding away from Connecticut? If you stand with him now, you're disqualified from serving in office in this state,” (https://lawenforcementtoday.com/connecticut-ag-william-tong-trump-republicans)? Do you wonder why every single Republican candidate has not signed a statement demanding the removal of Tong for boldly espousing such a totalitarian and un-American concept of dictating what one should believe in? Many may wonder, but they are ostensibly bullied by the enforcers of the omnipotent Connecticut Democrat Party.

Do you feel it is wrong that Governor Ned Lamont  continues his silence on Infosys Limited, Digital Currency Group and its affiliates, "ADVANCECT", Boston Consulting Group, UNITE US (CT), Mt. Sinai Genomics, "Thermo Fisher Scientific", "Sema 4", " Core Informatics", "Ocrulus", "Urjanet", "1life Healthcare", "Galileo Health", "Castlight Health", "Paladina Health", "4-CT", and "VillageMD ““The Horsebarn Hill Investment Fund”, McKinsey, “CT Next”, and the Tidal River Fund, “Baby Bonds” portfolio, the UCONN Foundation?  Of course, there is no need to answer to the Taxpayer slaves supporting his family's hedge fund.

In addition, did you ever wonder why Annie Lamont, spouse of Ned The Unaccountable, is inexplicably intertwined in the affairs of state government? Did you ever wonder why they both routinely communicate on governmental matters using a private family-office server and some communications have been published? Did you ever wonder why the stalwarts of the state-run print media saw these communications and did not immediately call for an investigation or attention to them? Did you ever wonder why it was my colleague Tony De Angelo that called attention to this abuse of process months later as an entire Republican party remained silent? Do you ever wonder how much money Annie Lamont made for her Hedge Fund through state business with Sema4 and UNITE US? Do you ever wonder how much was made on the Sema4 IPO? Do you wonder why fugitive and former state official Kosta Diamantis raised these exact same points about Annie Lamont while Republicans and candidates stay silent on them to this day? (In this case, you are not alone, as we all wonder as well).

From all the Connecticut Democrat Party's lies, failures, non-transparency, deceptions, and abuses of power, do you not think something is wrong? From their lack of representing Taxpayers who disagree with them and their failed social and economic policies-do you wonder how they could be "representing" anyone, in Connecticut? How much more evidence do you need as a voter?

Connecticut should be a state where economic prosperity, safety of its legal citizens and a rule of law are the norm and Job #1. Connecticut needs to stop being a state of constant hatred, lawlessness, self-enrichment, incompetence, and turmoil. This is the election to change it once and for all. The Connecticut Democrat Party has failed both you the Taxpayer and all law-abiding citizens. Democrats have raped the state beyond recognition for the past 35 years. End this madness in November once and for all.

Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain! The Eight-Year Fantasy Reign of Governor Ned Lamont

The eight years of the fantasy reign of King Ned Lamont the Unaccountable as Governor of the State of Connecticut can best be summed up by this dialogue from the 1939 classic film “The Wizard Of Oz”

The Wizard (booming voice, as the giant head):
“Do not arouse the wrath of the great and powerful Oz! I said come back tomorrow!”

Dorothy:
“If you were really great and powerful, you’d keep your promises!”
The Wizard (still booming):
“Do you presume to criticize the great Oz? You ungrateful creatures! Think yourselves lucky that I’m giving you audience tomorrow instead of 20 years from now!”

(Toto pulls back the green curtain, revealing the ordinary man working the levers and speaking into a microphone.)

The Wizard (startled, still trying to maintain the booming voice):
“Oh! … The great Oz has spoken!”
(He tries to close the curtain.)
“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! The great Oz has spoken!”

(Dorothy pulls the curtain fully open.)

Dorothy:
“Who are you?”

The Wizard (first booming, then dropping to his normal voice):
“I am the great and powerful… Wizard of Oz.”
Dorothy:
“You are? I don’t believe you!”

The Wizard:
“I’m afraid it’s true. There’s no other Wizard except me.”

Scarecrow:
“You humbug!”

Cowardly Lion:
“Yeah!”

The Wizard:
“Yes, that’s exactly so. I’m a humbug.”

Dorothy:
“Oh, you’re a very bad man!”

The Wizard:
“Oh, no, my dear. I’m a very good man. I’m just a very bad wizard.”

This 90-year old classic snippet of dialogue from "The Wizard Of Oz" describes the reign of King Governor Ned Lamont The Unaccountable perfectly, but for one item: While “Most Popular” Governor Ned Lamont may get an A+ in the categories of wonder and achievement courtesy of his state-run hack media stable, he differs from The Wizard in that in actuality, he is both a bad man and a bad governor.

Pick any sycophantic state-run media outlet or print publication in Connecticut, and you will get the same tale concerning Ned Lamont. There is economic magic in Connecticut! It is due to an amazing run of all sorts of the Democrat Party pulling economic rabbits out of their hats by the one and only, King Ned Lamont, the Unaccountable! In a recent news article that read like a campaign press release written by the Connecticut Democrat Party, somehow there is no longer any unfunded liabilities to the Connecticut State Pension System.  This is due to the magic of King Ned and his over taxation of Connecticut Taxpayers to create fiscal balloon surpluses.
From the article: https://www.courant.com/2026/08/03/a-look-at-cts-recent-fiscal-matters-pensions-debt-revenue-surpluses-taxing-the-wealthy/?lctg=64C6443F951205741532846538&utm_email=64C6443F951205741532846538&active=yesP&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fwww.courant.com%2f2026%2f08%2f03%2fa-look-at-cts-recent-fiscal-matters-pensions-debt-revenue-surpluses-taxing-the-wealthy%2f&utm_campaign=trib-hartford_courant-five_things_you_need_to_know-nl&utm_content=hybrid “Central to Gov. Ned Lamont’s political brand and his run for a rare third term is a fiscal discipline that has contributed to Connecticut’s extraordinary run of budget surpluses. He’s wrapped seven consecutive years in the black, using $11 billion of those unspent funds to wipe out pension debt. No other governor in modern history has made one such payment. And Lamont, a Democrat who has served with strong Democratic legislative majorities, cut state income tax rates in 2023, something done only once before in the 35-year history of the levy, while still building a record-setting budget reserve that tops $4.4 billion.”

This particular version of sycophantic blather was never parroted until the Lamont versus Socialist/Communist Josh Elliott primary. As someone who has studied the and written about the Connecticut State Debt for decades, I am truly amazed by these farcical statements.  When one tries to understand Connecticut State's Debt, one may be overwhelmed by the spider web of deceptions and untruths that have been force fed to Connecticut Taxpayers over the years. For to even get at what the real state debt is truly a challenge.

One thing the sycophants and lackeys will never tell you is that there are many aspects to Connecticut's debt that include long term and short-term bonding of different debts along with billions in unfunded liabilities that state taxpayers are liable for. This chorus of magpies would never tell you that Connecticut has one of the highest ratios of debt functions in the country along with one of the highest local and state tax burdens simultaneously. Few even understand this is happening. Connecticut State workers have one of the highest wage, benefit, and pension structures in the country accounting for over $11 billion dollars this past year out of state budget or roughly $27 billion dollars.  This is roughly 41% of Connecticut's state budget. Other examples include a 17.15% Debt to Gross Domestic Product ratio. This is a ratio calculated by dividing total debt by annual economic output, reflecting Connecticut's ability to pay back what it owes. And business development and economic opportunity? Connecticut has a population of roughly 3.6 million people of which over 380,000 are on Food Stamps which is over 10% of the state's population (https://www.usdebtclock.org/state-debt-clocks/state-of-connecticut-debt-clock.html). Of course if you can make your own way, you do not need government food subsidies. But! (but) isn't the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development leading the charge into the Mojo-driven Lamont universe? Roughly two billion dollars has been siphoned from state coffers into varying socialistic scam spending during the Reign of Lamont. But one wonders for what purpose have these funds been allocated for reasons other than serial waste, fraud, nepotism, cronyism, and abuse? https://wp.cga.ct.gov/apa/wp-content/cgacustom/reports/FullReports/Economic%20and%20Community%20Development,%20Department%20of%20FULL_20260729_FY2023,2024.pdf .
Continuing from the above news article/press release: “I think people are taking a second look at Connecticut” because of this fiscal dedication, Lamont said this week. “They say, ‘They’ve got their act together.’”
How did Connecticut ever get its act together with crushingly high state debt and 41% of the budget just going to salaries, benefits, and pensions, coupled with Wizard of Oz-like budget surpluses caused by Democrat Party over taxation?

However, no state-produced lie is ever complete without a benchmark reference to the failed leaders of the past. Here, the reference is to good old Former Governor Dan Malloy, who ran on a platform of “no new taxes. When elected that lie was forgotten about. Again, from the “above news article/press release: “(Malloy) took an issue that was [behind] closed doors … and really put it out there for people to understand the level of the problem,” said Joe Aresimowicz, the House speaker during the last two years of Malloy’s tenure and first two of Lamont’s. “It takes a different kind of human being to stand up in front of hundreds of people night after night, knowing that they disagree with you, knowing that they’re angry, knowing that they’re going to yell at you, and you keep doing it anyway,” said Roy Occhiogrosso, a senior adviser and campaign strategist for Malloy. “And it was because he believed deeply that you cannot fix the massive problems that he inherited unless you educate people about them first.” “In Dan Malloy’s defense, he was the first guy to at least make the current [pension] payments,” the governor said, “and I respect him for that.” Malloy’s tax hikes forced high earners to pay more..."Lamont ultimately closed his deficit by raising some business taxes and by canceling some sales tax exemptions and previously approved tax cuts that hadn’t taken effect yet. He was spared from increasing the state income tax, which carried the biggest political risk."
None of these characters of the state’s storied past will ever tell you that Malloy's legacy was one of making Connecticut's State Income Tax one of the most progressive in the country to fuel much higher state spending under the guise of paying down state debt. For such a destructive reign of fiscal irresponsibility. Malloy's payoff was getting a political nonjob in Maine via his financial glad-handing of Maine-based Jackson Labs. And when the state pays the freight, no news article is complete without painting Lamont as a discernable improvement over the failures of the past.

But wait! Here’s More! More confirmation of the Lamont economic brilliance is a recent report from Reason Foundation (https://reason.org/commentary/cts-pre-k-endowment-diverts-pension-dollars/). From this report,  Connecticut’s Early Childhood Education Endowment (ECEE) was created to further the state’s efforts to subsidize early childhood education. The goal is commendable. Childcare is expensive, and surely many families in Connecticut could benefit from additional support.
But the financing structure of this endowment is troubling. It redirects surplus dollars that would otherwise have gone toward paying down Connecticut’s severely underfunded public pension systems, setting up the state for future problems.
Connecticut already funds early childhood education through its operating budget. The state approved $418 million for fiscal year 2026 and $443 million for fiscal year 2027, separate from the endowment. These funds are part of the regular budget process, where spending is debated, appropriated, and subject to the state’s fiscal guardrails.
The endowment is different. Starting in fiscal year 2026, it is set to receive any unappropriated General Fund surpluses once the Budget Reserve Fund is at its statutory cap. Before the endowment was created, those surpluses would have continued to support additional contributions to pay the state’s massive pension system debt that is owed to public workers.
Connecticut’s State Employees Retirement System and State Teachers’ Retirement System have a combined unfunded liability of $31.5 billion. These are not optional obligations. These are pension benefits already earned by public employees that are legally binding claims on future state revenues.
Unfunded pension obligations are among the state’s most expensive fiscal risks. When pension funding falls short, the state forgoes investment earnings that would have accrued on contributed assets, increasing long-term costs, and shifting a larger burden to future taxpayers. For decades, Connecticut did exactly that, using funding practices that lowered near-term budget pressure while pushing debts and costs into the future.

But didn’t the above news article/press release tell us Lamont wiped out debt? If that is the case, how is it possible that a mere $31 billion dollars plus in unfunded pension liabilities exists in one place alone? Who is telling the truth? Who is lying? I highly doubt it is Democrat Governor Ned Lamont through his state-run media.

True money does not lie. Connecticut, depending on your periscope, still has $100,000,000,000 to $150,000,000,000 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt along with unfunded liabilities. It has moved billions over dollars off budget over the years  and hidden that from public view and comment. Connecticut gives away your tax dollars freely and without oversight through nontransparent agencies such as the Department of Economic and Community Development, which really should be eliminated and via myriad non-profits that no one in elected government wants to stop funding. Connecticut remains a fiscal mess with high debt, high taxes, and a poor business climate.

If you do not mind being ripped off daily, by all means keep voting for incompetent Democrats who are running in November. If you do not mind living in an economic and unaffordable economic sewer where there are few places you can grow and advance, keep voting for incompetent Democrats who are running in November. If you like busting your rear-end to feed the masses, illegal aliens and the entitled, keep voting for incompetent Democrats who are running in November. If you like all the daycare opportunities in-state but have no idea as to how much grift and fraud you are supporting since no politician anywhere cares, keep voting for incompetent Democrats who are running in November. If you want a genuine growing economy that attracts winners rather than a state-supported morass that attracts only politicians, keep voting for incompetent Democrats that are running in November. If you like serial crime and mere lip-service by police agencies to stop the crime as lip-service is all that is allowed, keep voting for incompetent Democrats who are running in November.

Maybe, just maybe this election could finally be different if voters see the economic light of darkness that is Ned Lamont and his political hacks who rule Connecticut with an iron fist.

86-47. The Battle Plan In Democrat-Driven Politics.

In the political hellscape that is America, 2026, finding real leadership anywhere is a challenge at best. Sadly, this leadership crisis is most acute in the present Democrat party, where a casual observation reveals an organization bereft of principles and morals doing anything that it can to win, even if it means embracing a toxic abusive Nazi like Graham Platner in Maine or a blithering hyperbolic idiot like Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut. Cities and states exist in danger and destruction under the reigns of people like Kathy Hochul in New York and Ned Lamont in Connecticut. Gone are the days of fine Democrats like President John F. Kennedy and Harry Truman. These gentlemen could not exist in the morass of chaos, cheating, destruction, and hate that is the Democrat brand today.

Hence, what specifically describes the Democrat brand today? 86-47. (Expletive) Trump. That summarizes the Democrat Party in Connecticut and America today. The Democrat Party represents something that would have been unimaginable 20 years ago. Lost is debate and vision and creative participation in solving problems and strengthening the country. Because if it involves anything at all that has been positively brought about by the 47th President of the United States, it needs to be cursed and stomped to pieces. 86-47. That is all that matters. And may the devil strike the person dead who thinks otherwise.

The Democrat Party in 2026 represents the following:

The endorsement and embracing of Socialist and Communist political/social positions rather than freedom and democracy.

A murderous hatred of all things President Trump, the Republican Party and any dissenting opinion to their failed Socialist and Communist political/social positions.

Unchecked illegal immigration with immediate Taxpayer funded support exceeding Social Security payments for many legal citizens that have worked their entire life and paid taxes.

Acceptable violent clashes by left wing paid political protestors against law enforcement officials and ICE (Immigration Control and Enforcement) and detention centers are a new form of entertainment by the Democrat Party.

Meaningless and fraudulent elections with the counting of ballots made by dead people and other illegal voters that only end when the chosen Socialist Democrat candidate has won.

Fraudulent voter rolls that may not be inspected by any governing agency.

A legal system that protects the criminal, and disregards the victims of crime.

Laws that no longer apply to the Democrat Party.

The encouragement of keeping mentally deranged individuals on the streets to attack, murder and or commit crimes against innocent law-abiding citizens.

The promotion of homeless drug dens in full view of all on prominent Democrat Party run city streets.

Open injections, public defecation, and the use of innocent dogs as drug experiments is perfectly acceptable, and must be viewed as normal.

Rampant fraud and crime in Taxpayer funded programs and "nonprofits" that will help benefit those politically connected to the shameless Democrat Party. The amount fraud taking place in our country is a large reason why we have a National Debt of over $39 Trillion dollars.

A bought and paid-for state run media that will blindly follow whatever the Democrats want them to say (or not say).

You may wonder how the above-described horrors exist in America 2026? It is simple. 86-47. (Expletive) Trump. That is all that matters. So, does it matter at all that many poor babies will be born and will not have parents setting up free “Trump Accounts” with a $1,000 free deposit to work as a first step to provide significant capital to them on their 18th Birthday? Does it matter if an inept state like Connecticut is one week away from the Federal “Opportunity Zone” deadline and will not declare regions in state that could take the first step to free themselves from perpetual urban decay? Does it matter that spineless and useless Republicans in states like Connecticut do not take a first step in campaigning on these incredible benefits that can be life changing to the people of the state? Suffice it to say it does not matter. What does matter is 86-47. Trump must die so all can live. The Democrat Party is truly the Cancer of America in 2026. Their reign of terror is unstoppable.

The Connecticut Democrat Party is in the same frenzy. United States Senator Chris Murphy is running around the country promoting his new failed book and handing out money to leftist organizations. Attorney General William Tong is making a career of suing the Trump Administration over everything and everything as several prominent local Republicans pander to him and seek his “bipartisan” friendship while they are photographed at events. Socialist-Leftist Liberal Governor Candidate Josh Elliott apparently does not wish to pay a "Living Wage" in the two stores he owns but decries why the minimum wage is not higher. Governor Ned Lamont, if he truthfully has nothing to hide as he drones on, refuses to disclose financial statements and anything relating to his family's hedge fund and their past profiting from Connecticut Taxpayer funded no bid contracts and forgiven loans.  Weekly, many ask for answers to the Lamont's involvement in "Thermo Fisher Scientific", "Sema 4", " Core Infomatics", “Centrellis”. "Ocrulus", "Urjanet", "1life Healthcare", "Galileo Health", "Castlight Health", "Paladina Health", and "VillageMD",  the Lamont-related Cayman Island partnerships, large Cayman Islands deals such as the "Horsebarn Hill Investment Fund" hiding in the UCONN Foundation,  and the numerous deals hidden through “quasi-public” organizations such as “Connecticut Innovations”.  Numerous Democrat State legislators have been caught in various illegal activities from DUI, harassment, lawmaking while drunk, stealing from Target and the infamous nonprofit scandals of the “Blue Hills Civic Association,” along with other myriad “nonprofit” organizations in the state.

Seeing this debacle in Connecticut, many see opportunities and a chance to right the world and bring positive change. But unfortunately, not the Connecticut Republican Party. As of the time of this writing, The Connecticut Republican Party still cannot find candidates for 31 Districts in the present election cycle, but was somehow able in three days to marshal a primary challenge in District 50 to Jadon E. MacCormack with seconds to spare for his remarks made several weeks ago on alternative lifestyles.  The Democrat Party was in full force condemning MacCormack's statements in shows of "bipartisanship". But there  is irony as the Connecticut Democrat Party supports Connecticut Taxpayer funded gender transition treatments for minors, inappropriate drag queen story hours for minors, and other assorted books that border on pornographic to be allowed in public and school libraries, while the Connecticut Republican Party reacts to each of these issues with a deafening silence as they attempt to shame those that disagree with them.  Aren’t decent conservative God-fearing people enjoined from disagreement with items that politicians endorse? And if so not allowed, then why are we prohibited if we live in a country that has free speech protected? Or is it free speech reserved for only those who agree with the Democrat Party and its assorted silent participants crying and thinking (Expletive)Trump?

But why bother? All that matters is the same 86-47. 86-47 has even gone so far as to be a coded threat to the President of the United States of America made by the former Director of the FBI, James Comey. Why is this acceptable and must not be criticized? After all it isn't is open game when it comes to the failed games of election year politics.

Let's be real, the new Democrat Party and those enabling are playing this game by rules they have made up with no prisoners being held. You either agree or you are history to put it bluntly. Nothing else matters as far as they are concerned. But right now, it matters more than ever.

Connecticut Community Fund 2030: Funding a Community That You Ain't In

The week of March 9. 2026 was a monumental week in the sordid annals of Connecticut history. In this week, scores of disenfranchised and justifiably disaffected Connecticut citizens descended on the Connecticut State Legislature fighting for their very lives in matters of education, medical freedom, and matters of personal self-defense in front of a largely uncaring and supercilious legislature who in many ways could not care less about them. Meanwhile, state Republicans caucused and called conferences supporting the efforts of these dear people. However, when all the dust settled one equally sickening issue remained: The government of the state of Connecticut continues to take your money and throw it into the street. And the arrogance and disdain from the political class towards the unwashed masses regarding this issue continually reaches steroidal proportions.

And in this latest fiscal boondoggle, no politician comes out a winner. But you, the taxpayer, continually come out the loser.

Therefore, welcome to the “Connecticut Community Fund 2030”.

What is the Connecticut Community Fund 2030?

Depending on what you want it to be, it is yet another bureaucratic dive for your wallet that creates even more economic misery for you, the Connecticut Taxpayer. The supposed purpose of the  "Community Investment Fund 2030 (CIF) is a Connecticut state-run program established in 2021 (codified in CGS § 32-285a) designed to foster economic and community development in historically underserved and distressed municipalities."  (https://portal.ct.gov/communityinvestmentfund/about-the-fund). This fund started in 2021 and works through the should-be-abolished and failed Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development to give free money to  throw to his or her district like a gouty ward heeler.

This fund is a bipartisan project. At the onset, it was intended to be funded for a mere $767 million dollars in its lifespan with a series of aspirational and/or questionable projects that you did not vote on, and regardless of how you may feel about it. But no one really gives a tinker’s dam about what you may think. And so what? Are we not supposed to pay attention to $767 million dollars to Connecticut taxpayers?  Especially since no amount of Taxpayer’s monies thrown any of the state's nonprofits/historically distressed communities and never-ending stream of "nonprofits" ever solves any of the massive social and economic problems of the state.

Here is some of the projects the Connecticut Community Fund has funded so far (https://portal.ct.gov/communityinvestmentfund/about-the-fund?language=en_US) :

INTERNATIONAL HARTFORD - $1,137,514

The request of CIF funds is towards the construction of a year-round public food truck court for ethnic food vendors. The project will renovate an existing 5,500 square foot property at 681 Wethersfield Avenue. The facility will have both outdoor patios and indoor dining, a breakfast café with free community Wi-Fi, a community performance space for activities and programming, a lounge with music as well as outdoor musical concerts, a co-working kitchen space, cold and dry storage, graywater, and grease disposal – all in one environment, increasing efficiency for food truck operations.

CITY OF BRIDGEPORT - $3,500,000

“Civic Block” CIF funds will aid the completion of the East End development known as Civic Block. Funds will be used to complete construction to create 35,000 ft2 of retail space, including a grocery store in a neighborhood that is currently a food desert.

This project is interesting as there continues not to be much progress on the project. Does anyone have an accounting of money spent to date? Does anyone realize how much money has been given freely to Bridgeport to solve the never-ending years of fiscal theft, fiscal negligence, fiscal ineptness, and fiscal lies of all of their supposed economic development? Does anyone in Bridgeport feel they will benefit from a grocery store?

Moreover, is there any starvation, scurvy, or beriberi taking place in this Bridgeport “food desert” to date?

TOWN OF HAMDEN - $5,400,000

“Arts & Cultural Center / Middle School Demolition”
This CIF award will enable the re-development of a former middle school that currently stands as a blighted, vacant structure within an Environmental Justice Block Group. CIF grant funds will go towards demolition and abatement of the structure, and community planning activities for the creation of a Community Campus on the site.

Hamden, formerly a highly desirable town, now has a large theft and crime problem. Instead of worrying about "Environmental justice" maybe Hamden should worry about "Justice for victims of Hamden's never ending crime problem"?

Or possibly how about some property tax relief or Kevlar shields for the bullet-ducking Hamden taxpayers?

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, New London $ 2,020,096

New London Relocation PPSNE health centers promote the availability of high-quality family planning and reproductive services. PPSNE proposes to use CIF funds to renovate and expand the property at 467 Ocean Avenue in New London to become the new home of PPSNE’s New London health center.

Connecticut is now such an economic wasteland that abortion is now considered to be a community and economic development activity.

YWCA Hartford Region, Inc., Hartford $ 1,500,000

Center for Racial Justice & Gender Equity YWCA is committed to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting justice, freedom, and dignity for all. YWCA proposes HVAC system enhancements as part of renovating its 50-year-old Hartford building to establish The Center for Racial Justice and Gender Equity.

Hartford has a a serious theft and crime problem. Instead of worrying about "Racial justice" maybe Hartford should worry about "Justice for victims of Hartford's never ending crime problem"? But "Racial Justice" of course is a much higher priority than resident safety.

Make no mistake in that Connecticut is a hotly divided state between the aggressors and enablers vs. the aggrieved and besieged. But when it comes to pork-filled and quasi-useless-feed-the-monkey type spending, both sides of the aisle unify to incinerate your tax money in the street while they are calling for financial policing and ending waste, fraud, and abuse. My friend and colleague Tony De Angelo did a great job of explaining this very thing on the March 12 edition of THIRTY WITH TONY TRUE NORTH THIRTY WITH TONY MARCH 12 2026

But nothing ever seems to change in the Grand Nutmeg State, The list is endless for what is being spent on top of the $28 billion dollars yearly in the Connecticut State Budget. Kindly consider that the state has $100-150 billion dollars in short- and long-term debt along with unfunded liabilities before this latest jaunt into Community Investment. But no one in this history of Connecticut politics past or present ever seems to get that. The formula for insolvency and failure continues:  Keep throwing money out the window to a should-be-abolished agency with the result always leaving Connecticut at the bottom of the country in most economic categories. This unmitigated fiscal horror should make every Connecticut Taxpayer's blood boil. And the same pattern is repeated, year after year.

But in fairness to Republicans let us never ever forget the root cause of the fiscal destruction of the state. The Connecticut Community Fund 2030  is another pure overreach of a never-ending money-wasting Democrat Party ruling authority eliminating local decision-making and facilitating a socialist command top-down planning regime. And in typical Connecticut fashion, there is no transparency whatsoever with respect to this fund and in accuracy, no member of the Board has advocated for your right to the same. Of course, this usual behavioral pattern continues as the state is facing at a federal investigation of Democrat State Senator Doug McCrory and the misuse of $750,000 in funds for the now bankrupt Blue Hills Civic Association. But with business as usual, McCrory is still Deputy President Pro Tempore, Chair: Education Committee, and Vice Chair: Public health; Government Oversight. But again, what is stealing $750,000 of Connecticut Taxpayers monies given the amount that has been stolen and wasted for the past 35 years? Its just a mere bag of shells.

Omnipotent one-party Democrat rule facilitating and enabling the same, and state government with no transparency has consequences. I am confident that down the road there will be even more committees, commissions, and politically appointed- highly paid incompetent-economically illiterate state employees who will talk incoherent economic gibberish while still we see the same horrific economic results. The waste and theft of Connecticut Taxpayers monies needs to stop today. Hopefully, the current federal investigation into State Senator McCrory will lead to many more investigations into Connecticut State Government's corruption. For we simply cannot have enough of them. The dear and hardworking citizens of Connecticut that have been aggrieved and harmed by Connecticut, deserve nothing less. There are no winners here whatsoever, only losers. And the losers here are the poor taxpaying citizens of Connecticut.
