Swick's Final Thoughts on 2016

This will be my last column for 2016.  I will be back with a special New Years Day column in 2017.
A great deal has occurred in 2016.  We have a new President Trump and Vice President Pence.  We have seen the beginning of the end for the Clinton dynasty.  In Connecticut voters continue their rejection of the Connecticut Democrat Party and their irrational economic tax and spend policies.  Connecticut continues to lose many businesses and continues to have a net migration of population out of Connecticut.  Connecticut continues to rank near last in most economic categories in 2016.  The state's pension system is an economic debacle broke with a ridiculous proposal currently to push to 2032 the bulk of its debt.  It was a year of the same stale economic rhetoric from Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule which mercifully is day by day losing its grip on power in Hartford.  The City of Hartford continues is economic decline with a brand new baseball stadium in disrepair with no games being played there along with the push for a "regional" sales tax to bail them out.  More of the same in Hartford.  There was the usual mix of Connecticut political corruption that just never seems to end.
Dan Malloy will continue as the Head of the Governors Association shaking down donors who will demand better results than what they got in this past election and spending the bulk of his time out of Connecticut in hope of getting a new job when does not get re elected in 2018.  The hope is once again that in 2018 the Republicans will prevail in taking control of the State House and complete control of the State Senate rather the current split 18-18.  And more importantly win the Governorship with a conservative candidate like Peter Lumaj in the upcoming election.
I also think about the hundreds of million of dollars that was spent in this last campaign.  Think about all of the people who could have been helped, the poor, the sick, college loans, etc. with it rather where it went, in the pockets of overpaid political consultants, a biased media and pollsters who have no clue what is going on in our country.  Also think about all of the money that is in the Clinton Foundation that does not get spent on "charitable" endeavors.  
Thus we will be entering 2017 with a new found hope in a new and dynamic President Trump and Vice President Pence who have already shaken up Washington and its stale political process.  We know the liberal media will each day condemn him however it looks like he will be ignoring them and take his messages directly to the citizens and taxpayers of our country.  What a refreshing thought for America.  In my economic opinion when all is said and done America will have entered a great period of economic growth and prosperity and our future will look great again.
I wish to thank all of my loyal readers who both and agree and disagree with my writings and thoughts.  I wish to also thank Capitol Report 2016 for being on their "The List" of columnists.  Without you this column does not exist.  I have always wanted what is best for my town of Wallingford, for Connecticut and for the United States of America whether you agree with me or not.  It can only be achieved through economic growth and prosperity,  a belief in spirituality, through productive and fair employment, through self reliance not reliance on an ineffective government and through a desire to see all in our country be successful and in good health.

Connecticut's Continuing Pension Crisis

Connecticut's traveling Governor Dan Malloy never ceases to amaze me with his economic illiteracy and irrational and costly economic plans.  The newest piece of economic garbage comes in the form of addressing Connecticut's pension crisis.  Connecticut's pension funds are severely underfunded and in many cases former state employees are able to able add their overtime, mileage costs, etc. to their final pension amounts.  Thus Connecticut's pensions are broke with taxpayers footing the bill.
This new Malloy plan that does nothing to increase workers contribution levels nor cut back on pension payouts.  About 25% of all state employees contribute nothing toward their pension benefit. Most others pay 2%.  For comparison purposes 7% is the national average of contribution. The beauty of Connecticut's political spoils system is that Connecticut taxpayers must be forced to pay incredibly large pensions to non union state managers, commissioners, judges, state elected officials who in most cases do not contribute a penny to their lifetime payout.  This is not addressed in Malloy's proposal.  Nor what is addressed is why the actual pension liabilities have been pushed down the road to 2032 a time when most Connecticut's political elite will be receiving their pensions in a low taxed state like Florida.  The complexity of this proposal astounds as me as I (as an economist) am having trouble as to how explain it.  It looks like the state will increase its funding somewhat to their pension liability in the hope that their rate of return will increase.  If it does not increase then most of the debt will be pushed back to 2032 and at that time some new plan will be presented.
My plan is simple.  All 25% of those state employees who do not contribute to their pension will now start to contribute 7% of their income from dollar one with no cap.  Their pensions would be capped at a 30% level of highest income.  This is still generous.  The other state employees who now only contribute 2% of their incomes would see an increase to 7%, all new state employees would be placed in a self funded retirement plan.  All life time medical benefits would end for any state employee just retiring, they can either be offered the state exchange health care plan or a similar type of Medicare plan that we in the private sector must accept.
Remember Connecticut is broke.  It ranks last in pension unfunded liabilities.  It has run out of ways to tax its remaining citizens.  Connecticut taxpayers need not fund a lifetime of excesses for those who have political connections in Hartford.  It is time to take back Connecticut's bloated pensions.

Connecticut's Never Ending Fiscal Crisis. Connecticut's Bloated Pensions.

It is funny that Connecticut's fiscal crisis never ends.  It continues unabated day in day out, year in and year out.  New and higher taxes for many years now has not solved the state's continuous budget deficit.  State spending continues to keep going up.  More and more fiscal line items magically drop off the state budget and become off budget items. Excessively high salaries, benefits and pensions are embraced and never cut back.
Thus you have short and long term debt along with unfunded liabilities that have put Connecticut's debt at $60 to $80 Billion dollars.  With no plan whatsoever to pay this off.  Each Connecticut taxpayer owes over $13,250 on this debt.  What is the plan to pay this off or cut spending?
Connecticut's out-of-control spending was casually mentioned in this past election.  In a political miracle the State Senate is now evenly split between the Omnipotent Tax and Spend Democrats and the Republicans 18 to 18 with Democrat Lieutenant Governor Wyman casting the politically expedient tie braking vote.  The Democrats continue to lose seats in the State House and hold a small majority at this time.
Connecticut has one of the most bloated pension systems in the country that is horrifically underfunded.  Most Connecticut Taxpayers can only dream of getting a lifetime of a $100,000 plus a year pension along with virtually free medical benefits that they see many former state employees get.  These same Connecticut Taxpayers must be satisfied with their meager Social Security benefits that they have paid for all their lives.  They can not work for three years as a Judge and then be eligible for a lifetime state taxpayer funded pension.  They can not add their mileage expense to increase their lifetime state taxpayer funded pension.  They can not add their unused sick time (what is that anyways?) to their lifetime state taxpayer funded pension.  They can not be like Connecticut Senator Blumenthal and his lifetime state taxpayer funded pension of over $50,000 a year due to his reign of economic terror as State Attorney General.  Blumenthal by the way is worth over $105 Million dollars.  Does he still really need that lifetime state taxpayer funded pension and could he go without it and help the state in its time of fiscal need?   Of course he will get every penny out of state taxpayers that he feels he so richly deserves.
It is a sickening excess that Connecticut Taxpayers must pay for year in and year out.
Connecticut Taxpayers have had enough.
Connecticut continues to be a vast economic wasteland whose elected officials only concern is their financial gain.  It is proven time and time again.
Reform Connecticut's bloated public pension system today.  Find real budget cuts that cut the waste and bloated nature of Connecticut's government.

$129,065.28 State Pension. Not Bad When You Are Broke.

William Cibes was a public employee for many years being supported by Connecticut Taxpayers.  Connecticut has short and long term debt of about $60 to $80 Billion dollars.  How does this relate to Connecticut's massive debt?  Well Cibes was the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management under Gov. Lowell P. Weicker, Jr., from 1991 to 1994 and then amazingly enough became the Chancellor of the Connecticut State University System from 1994 to 2006. He also served in the Connecticut General Assembly from 1979 to 1991.  He was a leading proponent of the Weicker driven Utopian State Income Tax that was supposed to resolve all of Connecticut's fiscal problems.  Cibes short stay as a one term Secretary of Office of Policy and Management was then rewarded with becoming the Chancellor of the then Connecticut State University System.  Cibes is now co-chairman of the Connecticut’s Spending Cap Commission which is my opinion a political tool allowing Cibes to proclaim that Connecticut's spending is not out-of-control nor has the state income tax contributed to the long decline of Connecticut's economy.   Cibes state pension is a mere $129,065.28 a year that Connecticut Taxpayers must pay for each year.  Cibes apparently feels that his pension is justified as being a political servant to the Connecticut liberal establishment.
Can one argue from an economics point of view that he provided any "economic productivity" in his many years of living off the Connecticut Taxpayer's gravy train?  Can one argue that the progressive Utopian state income tax has done little than drive the nails into the economic coffin that was once a dynamic and prosperous economy?
Cibes helped to create these economic problems that Connecticut still must address 25 years later.  In my economic opinion he has few qualifications to be co-chairman of the Connecticut’s Spending Cap Commission as there is no spending cap since it was ruled unconstitutional by a Connecticut Democrat Attorney General.  And Cibes comments are economically irrational and illogical.  The Connecticut economic problem is out-of-control spending on salaries, benefits and pensions.  Cibes pension is an excellent example of the constant waste of Connecticut Taxpayer's monies.
His $129,065.28 state pension is not bad for a Democrat led bankrupt state and a prime example of government waste.
It is Time To Take back Connecticut In 2018.  William Cibes and his destructive economic policies have done enough damage to Connecticut.

You are Democracy.  Not a bunch of politically connected and economically inept politicians who tell you what you can and can not do.  And lie to you without hesitation.
You are Connecticut.
You are the individuals who go to work each day and pay your taxes daily to Hartford.
You are the backbone of a free market economy.
You are the backbone of ethics and responsibility to your Democracy.
You are the backbone that allows economic freedoms to take place on a daily basis.  Not some political appointee or political hack.
You are Connecticut.
Not the Connecticut Democrat Party.  The Party of No.  No to a free market system.  No to lower taxes.  No to cutting state spending on political excess.  No to personal freedoms.  .
You are Connecticut.
Today is the day.
Today is the day to take back Connecticut.
You are the reason the state works and is productive.

You Mean There Is A Connecticut Democrat Economic Plan? Kind Of Late-Don't You Think?

The Connecticut Democrat Party never ceases to amaze me especially when it is election time.
The Governor claimed there was no budget deficit and the budget deficit has not ceased to exist for six long years now of new and higher taxes.
The Governor claimed that business conditions have improved through his and his fellow Connecticut Democrat programs of corporate welfare that picks the winners and losers in our economy.  Even though Connecticut ranks near the bottom in all too many economic programs.
The Connecticut Democrat Party now has a supposed "small business agenda"  that they are embracing.  Even though in my economic opinion the Connecticut Democrat Party is anti business and anti free market as proven by their tax and spend policies and by their current United States Senator Richard Blumenthal's war on small businesses while he was the states' Attorney General for all too many years.
The Connecticut Democrat Party embraces corporate welfare as a means to their political ends-we will throw you want you want, make sure you donate to our cause.  Sort of like Hillary Clinton's current campaign and tenure as Secretary of State.
Taxpayers must be wondering why and how any Connecticut Democrats are running for election or reelection in 2016 for the State House or State Senate based upon the horrific economic conditions we have in our state?  Do you they really believe that their economic policies somehow work?
They do not.  And they never will.
It is time to take back Connecticut on Tuesday.  Enough of the politically and economically inept Connecticut Democrat Party.  We can not afford two more years of omnipotent one part rule that has failed our state day in and day out.

What Happened to Honesty In Government?

I wonder what happened to honesty in government?  I wonder what happened to truthful elected officials?  I wonder what happened to competency in elected officials?  I wonder what happened to campaigns that talked about resolutions to current problems and issues rather personal glorification?
I wonder what happened to elected and appointed officials having a grasp of the responsibilities of their positions?  I wonder what happened to the United States Constitution?  I wonder what happened to the State of Connecticut Constitution? I wonder what happened to placing the United States of America above both financial and personal gain while in office? I wonder what happened to an Oath of Office?  I wonder what happened to the belief in God in the United States of America?  I wonder what happened to elected and appointed officials who actually did their jobs in a coherent and logical way placing the United States of America's interests first rather their own?  I wonder what happened to truth in government?
I wonder what happened to the United States of America?
It saddens me to think of the decline of our nation in this manner.
And it disgusts me to see our current ruling political elite continue to place their personal and financial interests first rather than the best interests of our country.
If you believe the Clinton family places our country's interest first you are sadly mistaken.  I will take a President Trump any day over the Clinton fraud we have to endure each day of this election.
President Trump.  Maybe we do not need to become another example of the decline and fall of an Empire in 2016.

Wallingfortd's 85th District Needs A New State Representative Republican Serge Mihaly

Republican candidate Serge Mihaly for State Representative in Wallingford’s 85th District is a man of beliefs, convictions and principals.  He is not afraid to speak his mind and express his opinions.
He is running against Representative Mary Mushinsky in Wallingford’s 85th District.  She is the same Representative who has voted for every tax increase since she has been in office and she has been in office a mere 36 years now helping to oversee the complete economic dismantling of our state economy.  She voted for the Utopian State Income Tax, the supposed cure all for all of Connecticut’s economic woes.  That really helped didn’t it?  That is the real record she is running on Election Day, tax and spend and tax spend even more with no end in sight.  Why does she deserve another two years in office to continue to inflict more economic hardship on the taxpayers of the district with her never ending tax increases that she supports with a budget that never balances?
Candidate Mihaly is not part of the Omnipotent One Party Rule Of Hartford.   He represents taxpayers not the political elite who run Connecticut. It Is Time To Take Back Connecticut In November.  And what better way than to replace the tired and economically ineffective policies of career Democrat politician Mary Mushinsky than with the crisp and new effective economic policies of Republican Serge Mihaly.

Are You Better Off Today In Connecticut? Vote Republican on November 8th.

Are you better off today in Connecticut?   Are you better off in Connecticut over the past two years?  The past four years?  The past six years?  Are you better off since the Connecticut state income tax was passed?  Are you better off with even more bloated state management jobs and positions with high pay, benefits and pensions than two years ago?  Are you better off as a Connecticut taxpayer knowing that your state has over $70 billion dollars in short and long term unfunded debt and liabilities?  Are you better off knowing the Governor and his Democrat controlled General Assembly can't figure out what the current never ending budget deficit is at any time?   The same budget deficit that the Governor stated did not exist when running for reelection?  Are you better off being lied to by your Democrat elected officials on virtually every and any topic that pertains to you living in Connecticut?  Are you better knowing that the legally voted on and passed Connecticut Constitution Balanced Budget Amendment is somehow ruled unconstitutional to serve the purposes of the Connecticut Democrat Party?   Are you better off with one party rule in Connecticut?  Are you better off knowing that the Connecticut Democrat Party at any time can enact laws and rules that continue to erode and take away your personal and work freedom?  Are you better off knowing that Connecticut law abiding citizens who own legal guns are considered criminals while criminals with illegal guns are somehow the victims according to the Connecticut Democrat Party?  Are you better off knowing that you the Connecticut Taxpayer serve the Connecticut Democrat Party as serfs in their serfdom of political patronage, omnipotent political power and tyrannical economic rule?
Are you better off this election year?  Are you that better off here in Connecticut to vote yet again back into power for another two years the stale, ineffective, economically illogical and omnipotent Democrat Party to continue its unyielding march to completely dismantle freedom and the state's economy to their rule and advantage?
I do not think so.
It is time to take back Connecticut on November 8th.  There can be no rational or logical arguments any more to vote back into office and to power any Connecticut Democrat Representative or Senator this election day.  They have failed miserably in running this state for many years now.  They are responsible for the economic decline of Connecticut.  They own the horrific state economy.
It is time to take back Connecticut on November 8th.  It is time for voters to vote into office in mass Republican candidates for the State House and State Senate.  Connecticut Taxpayers deserve more respect that what they have been forced fed by the Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule for years now.   Vote Republican this election day.

Why Have Ethics, Honesty and Truth Been Eliminated From Politics in 2016?



Why are ethics considered immoral and unwanted in politics in 2016?
Why is honesty wrong and being dishonest right in politics in 2016?  Why is truth considered a lie in politics in 2016?
I am personally sickened to see how far politics has regressed as far ethics, honesty and truth is concerned in 2016 especially at the national level.  As a taxpayer I am sickened to see that our government was and is for sale to enrich donors and a supposed charitable foundation.  I am personally sickened as to the cover up of the massive amount of lies that we are force fed each day by the media to place into the highest elected office in our country the first woman President who by no means has any ethics, honesty or truth forthcoming from her past, her present or her future.  I am horrified by the daily economic lies that are force fed to us here in Connecticut by the Connecticut Democrat Party to gain again full control of the House and Senate to continue Connecticut’s march to economic ruin.  
Again I ask why have ethics, honesty and truth been eliminated from politics in 2016?
Why?
To me there is no more rule of law or accountability in either our state or national government.  It is evident that taxpayers serve our government daily through the constant paying of taxes to support an elite group of individuals.  This elite group dictates to the masses what freedoms we can and cannot have.  This elite group manipulates rules and laws to their economic benefit.  This elite group has taken over our country and is leading us to a path of a painful and ruthless socialism.
The decision to me is clear on November 8th, 2016 and it is not a corrupted Democrat President.  Let us hope and pray that are freedoms are not eliminated even more over the next four years.  We as a country need to bring back ethics, honesty and truth to our political system.  Or is it too late?  God Bless America today and every day.

Connecticut Republican Dan Carter For United States Senator

United States Air Force and Operation Desert Storm Veteran Dan Carter is the Republican candidate for United States Senate here in Connecticut.  You would not know that since our current Senator Dick Blumenthal controls Connecticut's media with his constant 20 second sound bites on correcting all of the ills of our world. What he has accomplished is unknown to me other than he has constant press conferences that tell us how wonderful he is for looking into everything and anything that can garner press for him.  I am surprised Blumenthal has not sent to all Connecticut residents a picture of himself that we have to hang up in our homes to remind us daily that he is our Senator.  Blumenthal is all talk with no results other than satisfying his unsatisfied ego.  And Dan Carter is an actual Veteran who served in harms way unlike our current Senator.
It is too bad there can not be more than one debate between Carter and Blumenthal.  I do not understand why Connecticut Voters are not allowed to hear more from Blumenthal in an unrehearsed manner.  Is he afraid of his opposition?  Is he afraid of the truth of how bad Connecticut's economy is?  Six years is a long time to show Connecticut Voters that our Senior Senator has done little to impact and or better our economy.
Dan Carter has impressed me in his short time as a Connecticut State Representative having the guts to vote against Connecticut's ridiculous and ineffective gun control bill, the never ending tax increases force fed to us by the Democrats and the equally ineffective and deadly early release program.  He stands for smaller and more effective government.  He is more concerned with actual issues rather than satisfying his ego.
I know he can make a difference with actual concerns for Connecticut Taxpayers with actual actions rather than just spewed rhetoric that we must hear from Blumenthal on a daily basis.
I urge Connecticut voters to vote for Republican Dan Carter for United States Senate.  It Is Time To Take Back Connecticut In November.

$200 Million Dollars To Sikorsky-Close 2 Technical High Schools

Connecticut's Governor Dan Malloy must have a strong dislike for those people in society who need help.  People who can not take care of themselves or need help seem to be abused by the Governor as evidence of all of the budget cuts he has implemented for hospitals, people with disabilities, children and youthful offenders to name a few.  Now he wants to eliminate two state Technical/Vocational High Schools to save money.
What Malloy never mentions are budget cuts to the bloated upper level and middle level management group of state employees who live off the Connecticut Taxpayers.  Ever look at what state Commissioners receive in salaries and benefits?  For example the President of the Connecticut Board of Regents Mark Ojakian (who has no education management background) receives a mere $335,000 a year in salary plus benefits plus a massive pension when he retires.  How about all state Commissioners and the Governor work for a year with no salary and benefits to save money for the state?
And after Sikorsky receives $220 million dollars in Connecticut Taxpayers monies, Malloy now wants to cut spending again and in particular two state Technical High Schools.  Now this after the two highest Democrat tax increases in the states history still has not been enough to eliminate the massive yearly budgets deficits nor even begin to address the massive $60 to $80 billion dollars of short and long term unfunded liabilities.  It is just more of the same for Dan Malloy and Hartford's Omnipotent One Party Rule of the Connecticut Democrat Party.  More taxes, more lies, more politically connected, more theft.  More, more, more.
Connecticut Taxpayers hopefully have had enough of Dan Malloy and the Connecticut Democrat Party.  And hopefully most Democrats in our state legislature will lose their seats in the coming November election.  It is time to take back Connecticut.  Don't you think it is time for new leadership?

The 2016 Swick Connecticut Retention Package

What will will it take to retain my wife and I to live in Connecticut before we move out?
We are both life long residents of Connecticut.  We were both born and raised here.  We have faithfully paid our taxes since we started working.  We have paid our ever increasing state income tax since it was enacted over the outcry of Connecticut Taxpayers.  We have paid every other conceivable Connecticut tax since we were born.
We are threatening to move out of Connecticut.  We do not want to however the current economic climate and the corrupted political system has given us no choice than to look at other states.  We have seen the packages offered in others states such as Florida and the Carolinas.  In some of these other states that have made offers we would experience a much lower state tax burden than we have in Connecticut.   In some of these other states that have made offers we would experience a much lower local/property/county tax burden than we have in Connecticut.   In some of these other states that have made offers we would experience much lower insurance rates for property and autos than we have in Connecticut.
Again please do not take lightly our threat to move out of Connecticut.  My wife and I pay an enormous sum in state and local taxes. My wife and I support economically local businesses through our purchases.  I have educated many young people over my thirty four years of being an Adjunct Professor of Business and Economics in many Connecticut Colleges and Universities.  All of this would be a massive economic hit to the state and local economy if we were to move out of Connecticut.
Please do think these are talking points either just because it is election time.  Our thoughts are real.
We feel that what is good for Sikorsky is good for the Swick's.  We feel what is good for Connecticut's First Five is good for the Swick's.  We feel what is good for political crony capitalism is good for the Swick's.  After all we have been here much longer than many individuals and corporations who feed off the Connecticut Taxpayers.  Now it should be our turn.
Thus what is the offer from the Governor and our State Legislature?

The silence is deafening to the Swick's.

More Connecticut Taxpayers Corporate Welfare Per Dan Malloy

Dan Malloy is at it again spending Connecticut Taxpayers monies in yet another corporate welfare scheme.  Winners get picked daily by the Connecticut Democrat Party.
This time in an effort to stop the hemorrhaging of the upcoming losses for the Connecticut Democrat party in the November election, Malloy negotiated a massive $220 million dollar taxpayer subsidy to Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockhead Martin which is a $46.3 billion dollar corporation.  Supposedly this complex arrangement allows for 200 of the taxpayer funded CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift helicopters to be built in Connecticut for the U.S. Navy until at least 2032.  After 2032 is apparently anybody’s guess and by that time I am sure the agreement will be long lost. And in 2032 Sikorsky will threaten to leave Connecticut and a new and even larger Connecticut Taxpayer funded subsidy will be granted. Note that  Lockheed Martin bought Sikorsky from United Technologies Corporation last year for a mere $9 billion dollars.
Looking more closely at this agreement I wonder how this benefits Connecticut Taxpayers who are funding it?  For example, sales and use taxes will be exempted up to $5.7 million dollars a year over the term of the agreement.  That will cost Connecticut Taxpayers $361,950. yearly.  If they exceed target level employment by a mere 100 to 550 jobs in any year of the agreement Connecticut Taxpayers will be on the hook to pay them a performance incentive grant of $1.9 million dollars a year for a total of up to $20 million dollars.
Thus we have more of the same for Connecticut Taxpayers, higher personal and business taxes for most and many exemptions for those companies in the state of Connecticut that are politically connected.  Here is some realistic math for this subsidy.  $220 million dollars of your tax monies is being used to help subsidize a $46.3 billion dollar company.  For corporations who can negotiate these types of sweetheart deals it does not better than that.  And once again Connecticut Taxpayers get left out of the gravy train that we call Connecticut state government. For Connecticut Taxpayers is yet again another lose, lose irrational economic policy.  When will it ever stop?  Not in my lifetime apparently.



More Connecticut Taxpayers Corporate Welfare Per Dan Malloy

Dan Malloy is at it again spending Connecticut Taxpayers monies in yet another corporate welfare scheme.  Winners get picked daily by the Connecticut Democrat Party.

This time in an effort to stop the hemorrhaging of the upcoming losses for the Connecticut Democrat party in the November election, Malloy negotiated a massive $220 million dollar taxpayer subsidy to Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockhead Martin which is a $46.3 billion dollar corporation.  Supposedly this complex arrangement allows for 200 of the taxpayer funded CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift helicopters to be built in Connecticut for the U.S. Navy until at least 2032.  After 2032 is apparently anybody’s guess and by that time I am sure the agreement will be long lost. And in 2032 Sikorsky will threaten to leave Connecticut and a new and even larger Connecticut Taxpayer funded subsidy will be granted. Note that  Lockheed Martin bought Sikorsky from United Technologies Corporation last year for a mere $9 billion dollars.

Connecticut Must Change. Vote Republican Serge Mihaly for State Representative 85th District


A constant theme I utilize in my writings is that: “It Is Time To Take Back Connecticut In November.”   And in the 85th State House District of Wallingford that I live in there is no better example of a career Democrat politician who has contributed to the economic decline of our state than Democrat Mary Mushinsky who has been in office for 36 years now.  Looking back at her voting record voters should be reminded of her votes for the utopian state income tax and for the two largest tax increases in state history under the Malloy regime.  One can argue vehemently that career Democrat Representative Mushinsky’s tax and spend policies have help make Connecticut the doormat of most economic categories for cost of living, taxes, and business operations costs to name a few.  Connecticut lacks economic vibrancy.  Connecticut has one of the highest tax rates in the country.    I think taxpayers and voters are just in placing a good portion of the blame for our failed economic state on career Democrat Representative Mushinsky’s tax and spend policies. 
I just wonder if the voters of Wallingford’s 85th District have had enough of her tax and spend policies that have produced the never-ending economic debacle that we see Connecticut as in 2016?   Isn’t time for a change?  Hasn’t years of omnipotent one party rule severely impacted Connecticut’s ability to prosper?  At what point do taxpayers and voters demand a plan to pay off Connecticut’s long term debt of $60 to $80 billions of dollars? 
Republican candidate for State Representative Serge Mihaly is an educated individual who understands our state economy and realizes that the never-ending Democrat tax and spend policies must end.  He understands the economic problems of our state huge pension liabilities.  He understands that the state employee health care plan has the highest costs in the country that are subsidized through our tax monies.  He understands that our state government salaries are excessively high as compared to other states and must be contained.  He is willing to actually work for taxpayers to reduce their tax burden and make Connecticut great again.
Mihaly stated: “Hartford is too involved in our lives and excessive taxation is proof. Legislators view money as power, the more the better. But who better than you and I to know what we need and how to spend what we make? The less of our money government has, the less they can interfere.”  (8/5/16 Meriden Record Journal)
It Is Time To Take Back Connecticut In November.  And what better way than to replace the tired and economically ineffective policies of career Democrat politician Mary Mushinsky than with the crisp and new effective economic policies of Republican Serge Mihaly.

9/11/2001. Think About It This November.

On September 11, 2001 2,996 Americans were murdered in cold blood by radical Islamic terrorists.  These 2,996 Americans who died should never be and will never be forgotten by our country no matter how bad many in society wish to turn a blind eye to terrorism.  And we as a country are still fighting a very costly and dangerous war against terrorism in 2016, fifteen years later.
The economic costs of 9/11 and the subsequent fifteen years have been staggering in my opinion.  If one adds the damage to our infrastructure on 9/11 along with the rebuilding process and the additional costs of security and our never ending wars in Iraq and the Middle East, we may estimate upwards of over $5 Trillion dollars has been spent so far with no end in sight.   Air flight has been impacted due to long security check point lines and the inspection of luggage.  The TSA has morphed into a $7 Billion dollar a year bureaucracy financed minimally by travelers $2.50 per airplane ticket tax.   And are we more secure than the morning of 9/11/2001?
And why haven't we won the war against terrorism yet?  Why?  Because we have allowed our Congress to fight the war on terrorism instead of our military?  Because we have become politically correct in our views of terrorists?  Do some individuals in our country wish for this terrorism to occur?  At what price do we continue to pay for our supposed safety and well being against an enemy who in my opinion should have been eliminated many years ago?
On September 11, 2001 2,996 Americans were murdered in cold blood by radical Islamic terrorists.  
Please do not forget these individuals who gave their lives on that day.  And please do not forget the many thousands more who have been murdered in all of the other terrorists attacks and wars throughout the world since 9//11/2001. 
Terrorism needs to be eliminated.  There is strength in powerful leaders who wish to eliminate terrorism.  Think about it this November.  End it now.

Republican Len Suzio for State Senator in the 13th State Senate District



Republican Len Suzio is running again for State Senate in the 13th State Senate District that covers the communities of Cheshire, Meriden, Middlefield, and Middletown.  Mr. Suzio represented that District several years ago and was defeated in the last election by very few votes in an exceptionally close election.
Len Suzio is a man of principal and integrity something that in my opinion is sorely lacking in today’s State Legislature.  He also in my opinion understand the pitfalls of the tax and spend policies that have encumbered our state economy for many years now.  He has an exceptional background in the banking industry, is well educated and has been very active in the Meriden community.
The one area that I agree completely with Mr. Suzio is the elimination of Connecticut’s early release program for prison inmates.  He claims the state is failing and has failed to report that many prisoners who have been released before completing their sentences are now back in prison with such horrific crimes such as rapes and murders.  Mr. Suzio has stated the State Commissioner is not releasing vital information about these crimes being committed by prisoners who are let out early from our prisons in the state.   To me this should be a major campaign issue in Connecticut in 2016 but is being overlooked due to the horrific economic conditions the state is facing due to the years of economic neglect thanks to the Connecticut Democrat Party.
If you are a voter in the 13th State Senate District I urge you to send Len Suzio back to the State Senate to represent you.  He is an outstanding candidate to help Connecticut become strong again.

Looking For A Job-Former Connecticut Democrat Officials Need Not Look Far From Connecticut Non Innovations

The corruption never ends here in Connecticut.  Connecticut Democrats who have served in the State Legislature never have to look far for a high paying position paid for by the Connecticut Taxpayers.
The new poster child for political cronyism and political corruption is former Democrat State Senator Gary LeBeau of East Hartford who was a public school teacher and administrator and received a $75,000 no bid consulting contract with the Connecticut Taxpayer funded Connecticut Innovations Agency.  This agency supposedly provides support for companies in our state that are innovative,  has given a $75,000 consulting contract to a 69-year-old former state legislator who spent his life as a public school teacher/administrator — and never worked in business in his life.
In case you do not what "Connecticut Innovations" is, here is a blurb from their Connecticut Taxpayer funded website http://ctinnovations.com/about:

We do. It’s the year we were formed by the Connecticut State Legislature to help promising technology companies get off the ground.

It is funny to me as a taxpayer to see how bad our state economy has evolved into since 1989 and since the founding of Connecticut Innovations.  I do not see more jobs for our state since 1989.  I do not see many businesses moving into our state.  I do not see more business tax revenues being developed in our state. 
I do see political cronyism at its best with the hiring of former Democrat State Senator Gary LeBeau of East Hartford who was a public school teacher and administrator and received a $75,000 no bid consulting contract from them.
Why?  Why was this man with no business experience hired as a consultant?
Obviously he paid his Connecticut Democratic Party dues and deserves such a position.
Maybe we should eliminate funding for Connecticut Innovations since it appears to me there is little economic innovation here in Connecticut except for an archaic and Democrat based politically inept economic policies that have bankrupted the state since 1989.
This political hack did not deserve this contract.  It is yet another insult for Connecticut Taxpayers.

Connecticut's Labor Day-Connecticut's Taxpayers Must Keep Working To Support Our Ruling Political Elite

Happy Labor Day.  For Connecticut Taxpayers they must keep working.  And keep working.  And keep working.  No matter what time or day or holiday.  While our Governor flies around the country raising cash for his Democrat Party and uses it any way he pleases many Connecticut Taxpayers must keep working on Monday to pay their bills especially their Connecticut tax bills.  One of the highest tax burdens in the country.  Taxes and unlimited spending are part of the Connecticut Democrat Party way of life.  As much as the realization is setting in that the Connecticut Democrat Party is bracing themselves for huge defeats on a state level in November (except in the cities where they know the election can be manipulated) the Connecticut Democrat Party still feels there is a revenue not a spending problem in the state.
The new fiscal 2016-17 state budget is riddled with deficits.  Money has been constantly spent around the Constitutional State Budget Cap by our elected officials even in this new fiscal year.  And the states money has run out again in my opinion even before the fiscal year has begun.  This is the economic reality and economic record that any Democrat State Representative or State Senator is running for election or re-election on.  Out-of-control state spending of Connecticut Taxpayer's monies along with constant tax increases is the Connecticut Democrat Party platform.  And yet they try to blame the Connecticut Republican Party for their fiscal mess. 
Connecticut has evolved into a state of excessive burdens created by the Connecticut Democrat Party.  High taxes, an artificially high socialistic price control system for beer, wine and spirits, a horrific and decaying infrastructure, high unemployment taxes for businesses, a taxpayers funded pension system that has no financial caps or limits and a broken and corrupted political system that defies any logic.
Many Connecticut Taxpayers can not wait to move out of state.  A recent survey showed four out of ten state residents want out.  To me that speaks volumes of the horrific economic and tax policies that the Connecticut Democrat Party have inflicted upon our state.  Enough is enough.
For those Connecticut Taxpayers who must work this Labor Day think about how Connecticut's economically irrational omnipotent one party rule system has damaged the state.
And think about voting for those brave Republican candidates for State Representative and State Senate who are willing to fight to take back our state from the economic morass and political corruption that defines the Connecticut Democrat Party this election.

The Never Ending Clinton Political Scandals-President Trump

I have always stated that history repeats itself.  In the history of our country I have seen it happen numerous times.  In my opinion we are reliving a time frame of 1964 to 1974 with civil unrest, war, and political corruption.
Political corruption in 2016 is investigated and reported upon by our media in a much different fashion than it was back in the 1972 to 1974 time frame.  President Nixon and his Watergate cover up led to Nixon's resignation on August 9, 1974.  Watergate for those too young to remember involved a far reaching probe of the wiretapping of the Democratic National Committee Party headquarters and its subsequent cover up by both Nixon and several members of his administration.  I remember reading and watching the daily hearings and speculation as to what occurred.  In my eyes it was a complex crisis that was difficult to follow and understand yet I tried my best by reading the each week Time, Newsweek, US News and World Report, New Times, National Review and the daily papers.  It was the time before 24/7/365 non stop news programs like have we have today.  In my opinion the difference today is the media bias has underscored the seriousness of the Hillary Clinton email server scandal, has shunned any investigation into a supposed non profit Clinton foundation racket and refuses to look at any connections of the selling of the Hillary Clinton Secretary of States office in proportion to donations to the Clinton Foundation with certain pieces of laws/legislation/deals that occurred during that time period.
Watergate was a horrific time in my opinion in our nation's history.
The Clinton scandals that are being suppressed at this time are a horrific time in our nation's history.
And history is repeating itself again.
Nixon.  Clinton.  An abuse and disregard for power.   Nixon at least resigned from what he did.
Hillary Clinton may be given even more corrupted power by possibly being elected President, thus showing our country and world that the American set of rules and laws are not applicable to this individual.  An individual who with her family has been able to manipulate the highest office in the land to their personal financial gain and power while putting the nation at risk.  The Clinton family empire takes priority over the well being and security of America.  America is the Clinton family conquest of territory as they dictate their recklessness and total disregard for law to enhance their empire.  Sort of like a King and Queen of a country.
Has America regressed this far backwards to allow for this to happen?  Are we now a Monarchy?  A Dictatorship?  Why can't Taxpayers and voters of our country get answers?
I see the answer.   The answer is a change in who runs the White House.  The answer is in following the United States Constitution.  The answer is in electing a man who is not a paid professional politician but a successful businessman. 
The choice is there and it is not the Clinton Empire.
President Trump.  It is time to take back America from the Clinton Family trail of corruption, deception and theft.

Your Connecticut Taxpayers Monies At Work

Connecticut's remaining taxpayers work hard each day and night paying their taxes.  We pay an excessively high rate in state income taxes, state sales taxes, business taxes, user fees and licenses, secret gross earnings taxes on gasoline, excise taxes and miscellaneous nuisance taxes.  For our efforts the Democrat controlled State House and State Senate runs a constant budget deficit year-in and year-out a mere $1 Billion dollars in over spending.  Since the Utopian State Income Tax was passed in 1991, the Democrat controlled State House and State Senate has increased spending by 200% from a $7 Billion dollar budget in 1991 to over $20 Billion dollars in 2016.  Connecticut's short and long term funded and unfunded liabilities are from $70 to $80 Billion dollars also in 2016. 
This is the record that the Connecticut Democrats are running on for election and re election this November.  They have had thirty years of running Connecticut and they have successfully brought Connecticut to its economic ruin.  Connecticut as we know ranks last in many economic categories such as business development, economic freedom and tax rates.  Connecticut's economic vibrancy continues to erode daily due to the Connecticut Democrat Party and their irrational, illogical and detrimental economic policies.  There should be more to the State of Connecticut budget than just an overpaid management work force whose only concern is getting more and more politically created taxpayer funded positions so as to accumulate unheard of salaries, benefits and a never ending pension to those who pay their Democrat political dues.
Again this is the record that the Connecticut Democrats are running on for election and re election this November.   It is horrific.
Connecticut has been led too long by the Connecticut Democrat Party.  Their tax and spend policies make no economic sense any more.  They can no longer govern in any way, shape or form.
The Connecticut Democrat Party can be seen at work through their failed taxpayer funded baseball park in Hartford, their protection of unions at all costs and Dan Malloy's illegal campaign mailer just to name a few debacles.   In my opinion the list is endless.
It is Time To Take Back Connecticut in November.  Connecticut Taxpayers have reached a dead end with the Connecticut Democrat Party and their failed policies.  It is time for new leadership and an end to one party rule.  It is time to give the Connecticut Republican Party a chance to lead and govern Connecticut and to bring back economic vibrancy to what was once an economically dynamic state.  The cesspool of leadership that defines the Connecticut Democrat Party needs to be flushed out once and fall all in order for Connecticut to survive.

Ethics In Politics. November 2016?

I wonder if ethics exists any more in Presidential politics?  I wonder if our President believes in truth and a value system.  A system that truth whether good or bad is essential for democracy to work in America and the spoken truth takes priority over lies that endanger our country.  That the spoken truth takes priority over personal financial gain.  It is like selling your high elected or appointed governmental position to the highest bidder for a supposed charity you run.   Does this sound familiar? Does the Iranian Nuclear deal fit this idea?   The Benghazi debacle?  Keeping your Doctor and lower health insurance premiums under the Affordable Health Care Act/Obamacare?  An $11 million dollar tax return released by the Clinton dynasty shows that 96% of their charitable donations are given beck to their foundation that they own.  And any investigation into their supposed foundation gets silenced by the Attorney General.  National legal political theft and financial gain seem to be the norm for Washington politics in 2016.
To the many voters I have spoken to they are irate at the lies they are hearing from both national and state Democrat Parties.  On a state level we are seeing a massive clean election law campaign mailing scandal unfold with an unsuccessful payoff of a state commission investigating it.  We are seeing a state economy unravel daily due to massive taxes and horrific regulations which endanger businesses staying in the state.   At what point are there any ethics left in Hartford?  Why are Connecticut Taxpayers continued to force to pay for the corruption of Hartford?  Why are Federal Taxpayers forced to pay for the corruption of Washington?
Democracy and ethics seem to me to go hand in hand.  Revisionist history seems to be the norm by liberalism gone amok.  I see that 2016 is a radical turning point in both our state and nation's history.
And I hope that time has not passed for those taxpayers who have been forced to pay their taxes to support these different levels of corruption in both our Federal and State governments.  Billions upon billions dollars of taxpayers monies wasted for personal and political gain.

Indiana Ranks #17 In Fiscal Solvency. Connecticut Ranks #50 In Fiscal Solvency. Dan Malloy Can No Longer Govern.

Harsh rhetoric coupled with economic reality.  The economic reality of a Democrat led state government that has raised taxes constantly and has no regard for state laws.
Governor Dan Malloy really can not govern any more.  He is done.  His job now is to eliminate through his venom rhetoric anyone who stands in the way of the coronation of an equally corrupted politician to become the first women President of the United States.
All that stands in Dan Malloy's way is truth.  And truth to a liberal is whatever they want it to be.  Lies are truth to them.  Dan Malloy when running for election and re-election was not going to raise taxes but did.  Dan Malloy when running for re-election claimed there was no budget deficit but the deficit that supposedly never existed still is increasing unabated.  Dan Malloy when running for re-election claimed he made the tough decisions to get Connecticut back on track with an improving economy but the truth is that Connecticut ranks dead last or near last in many economic categories such as job creation, business climate, net population loss to name a few.  All these lies when Dan Malloy ran for re-election prove to me and a majority of voters in Connecticut that he and his Connecticut Democrat Party can not govern the state any more.
Yet Dan Malloy runs around our country bashing Vice Presidential candidate Indiana Governor Mike Pence.  Why?  Is Dan Malloy jealous of how well Indiana's economy is working.  Lower taxes, new job formation, positive population growth are all economic events that happened in Indiana not Connecticut.   Indiana ranks #17 in fiscal solvency while Connecticut ranks #50 before bankrupt Puerto Rico according to the Mercatus Center June 1, 2016 analysis.  Dan Malloy and the Connecticut Democrat Party are economically illiterate in resolving any of our economic issues.  The result is Dan Malloy and the Connecticut Democrat Party can only raise taxes and increase bonding to continue to spend their way to economic oblivion.
Yet Dan Malloy uns around our country bashing Vice Presidential candidate Indiana Governor Mike Pence.  Why?
Hopefully Dan Malloy and his fellow state Democrat elected General Assembly members will be out of work in November (or sooner in the case of Dan Malloy and his Federal probe of election law violations).  And hopefully Indiana will have a new Republican Governor when Mike Pence gets elected Vice President along with President Trump.

Malloy The Clinton Surrogate-While Connecticut Implodes Economically-President Trump-Vice President Pence

Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy continues to amaze me.  I fully understand that he has been written off as Connecticut's Governor through economically irrational and illogical tax and spend policies.  I fully understand that he has been written off as Connecticut's Governor through his lies about the massive and growing state budget deficits and long term unfunded liabilities currently at $70 billion dollars and growing.  I fully understand that he has been written off as Connecticut's Governor through his lies by a shady reelection mailing he and his staff embraced and then hid with a yet another shady payoff deal with a non operational and politically motivated State Elections Committee.
Now since Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy is in danger of losing his Governorship in 2018 or sooner if impeached, he must audition for another job.  What better type of job for Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy than being a surrogate for the equally shady and unethical Hillary Clinton.  He can bash anyone and everyone so that Clinton sees that he is in her mold, taking down anyone who stands in her way of ruthless power and corruption.  Thus he will granted more power in Washington if the shady and unethical Hillary Clinton gets elected through a badly needed Cabinet position to get him out of Connecticut.
Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy has lost Connecticut.  He and his Connecticut Democrat Party are corrupt and totally insensitive to those in real need of help.  Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy has made a mockery of the State Constitution and the rules that govern the state.  Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy has made a mockery of the budget process.   Now he will make a mockery of the upcoming Presidential campaign
Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy needs to get out of office.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. Connecticut's Stale 85th House Representative - More Of The Same Tax And Spend Rhetoric

State Representative from the 85th District, Mary Mushinsky, who won her first election in 1980 has been in office since 1981.  Over the past 35 years in office she has voted for nearly every tax increase that has come through the House including the economically debilitating state income tax and more recently the two highest tax increases in the state's history.   Since she is running for reelection Wallingford residents received in the mail on Friday a taxpayer funded four color printed brochure highlighting her "massive" accomplishments this past term.  From her reelection brochure:"Although there were no easy solutions this year, after a lot of hard work we approved a budget that is balanced, without tax or fee increases, without borrowing, and without dipping into the Rainy Day Fund."  Thus yesterday when Connecticut Comptroller Kevin P. Lembo certified a $315.8 million deficit in the outgoing budget and its Rainy Day Fund is now down to $90 million dollars, I am confused as to how Representative Mushinsky has a balanced budget without dipping into the Rainy Day Fund?   Thus one gets a taste of how Connecticut Democrats are able to keep manufacturing their economic lies, a $315 million dollar budget deficit is somehow a balanced budget?  Estimates for the fiscal 2016-17 budget are trending towards a $1 billion dollar deficit, since a great deal of the Democrat budget that she help to pass relies on "projected" savings.  When voters read this they apparently must impressed with the rhetoric as they keep sending her back to office each term.  Why is beyond me when one sees and must live in the economic quagmire of high taxes, high levels of corruption and an infrastructure that is beyond repair that Mushinsky has helped nurture over the past thirty fives years in office.  
The great irony that I find in her being reelected is that several residents in Wallingford feel the town is fiscally mismanaged even though it has a AAA Bond rating and low taxes.   They demand more fiscal conservatism on a local level and endorse the tax and spend policies and economic debacles of Democrat Representative Mushinsky on a state level.  
Have Wallingford taxpayers and voters had enough of Representative Mushinsky?  Can Wallingford taxpayers and voters actually state that they are better off economically than two years ago?  Four years ago?  Since 1991 when the state income tax took effect?  Can it be possible that Wallingford taxpayers and voters have had enough of this economic nightmare of high taxes and high budget deficits that Mushinsky has contributed to since 1981?  Serge Mihaly is this years Republican candidate to unseat Mushinsky.  Maybe taxpayers and voters who have had enough of the Mushinsky rhetoric will vote for him and his fiscal conservatism into Hartford.  Maybe they can try something different to take back Connecticut in November.

Brexit and the United States-God Saved The Queen

I have been asked over the week my thoughts on the Brexit situation and how it impacts our country.  I know this is away from my usual opinions on the worsening Connecticut economic debacle and the highly corrupted state political situation however as an economist I feel I should offer thoughts on it.
First in my opinion I feel it is an excellent choice on the part of Britain to regain its independence and economic sovereignty.  I do not believe nor have seen enough economic evidence that the European Union has created such economic prosperity in Europe and for other countries in the world to justify its expense.  Also I do not believe nor have seen enough economic evidence that the Euro currency has created great economic excitement nor economic stimulation for it to continue to thrive as a viable unified currency.  To me all it has done is propped up weaker countries and placed economic strain on stronger countries (like the United Kingdom).
Secondly the issue of radical terrorism has expanded in the European Union due to open borders and unlimited immigration policies that have been able to allow and nurture terrorism cells especially in France and Belgium.  Europe is far less safe than what it was in 1990.  The European Union liberal drum roll of being politically correct when it comes to immigration and radical terrorism/lack of profiling has created an unsafe and highly dangerous situation for both Europe and the United States.  The citizens of England had enough and chose freedom and  sovereignty as a nation. 
To me all the European Union has evolved in is a bureaucratic liberal experimental think tank that has no checks and balances in it.  They wish to force feed the Union with failed liberal social and economic experiments. 
England in my opinion now will prosper economically and terrorists will have a much more difficult time in their operations in the United Kingdom.  The fear mongering manipulations of our financial markets here in our country make little sense to me economically.  Why the stock market dropped the way it did on Friday proves that fear when properly placed in the media allows for financial/stock swings to beat up the small investors in the market while allowing for massive profits for the stock shorting gamblers and large institutional investors to gain.  There should be no fear over this exit.

Connecticut The Corrupted State

A constitution defined:  is a a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.
In my opinion Connecticut has no constitution.  It has no principles or precedents governing.  It has corrupted leadership and elected officials. 
With Connecticut's Omnipotent One Party Rule fully entrenched the constitution be it with regards to a legally binding state constitutional spending cap or with the total disregard for Connecticut's Clean Election Law is ignored. 
It is without question this weeks corrupted agreement between the Connecticut Democrat Party and in particular with Governor Malloy and the State Elections Enforcement Commission was done in secret with no one being allowed to be interviewed by the Commission.  Mr. Malloy and his Connecticut Democrat Party were in  clear violation of House Bill No. 850-Public Act No. 13-60 (which I urge Connecticut Democrats to reread and to comprehend what laws campaign financing should be followed).  Malloy made expenditures well in excess of what this law allows in his mailings in the last election.  It can not be denied nor was it actually investigated by the State Elections Enforcement Commission (which to me now is another tool of the Connecticut Democrat Party).  Should taxpayers and voters expect anything different?
And the question that also needs to be asked is why taxpayers are paying taxes to support such a corrupted regime in Hartford?   If the Constitution is non existent what rule of law are we following in Connecticut?  Thus why are we paying taxes?
Connecticut should be referred to at all times as the "Corrupted State"  I would hope in the next legislative session after more items are taken off budget illegally, more taxes were raised and new taxes implemented, more secret hiring of politically connected Democrats occur, no discussion on most laws or the budget take place that some legislator brings up a law to change the official state nickname to "Connecticut-The Corrupted State".  At the same a new law could also be passed to tax anyone moving out of the state.  An exit tax-a fitting tribute to the cancer that has engulfed our state-the Connecticut Democrat Party.
It is time to take back Connecticut in November.

Connecticut and Its Economic Decline

It is evident that Connecticut is in and has been in an economic decline for many years now.  Since the passage of the Weicker state income tax that was supposed to solve all of Connecticut's problems we still see an economic decline.  For many years now, over and over again.  An economic decline that is far reaching from young and old citizens moving out of state along with many businesses and industries heading elsewhere.  An economic decline that encourages constant non productivity through a political elite ruling class that is embellished with high salaries, benefits and pensions while penalizing those who actually produce and earn their income through yet even new and higher taxes on their wages.  An economic decline that chooses to tax literally anything and everything in a never ending quest for more revenue to constantly satisfy the same political elite ruling class that has helped to bring Connecticut to economic ruin.  An economic decline as viewed by millions of taxpayers dollars being spent on a Hartford baseball stadium that can not be finished nor generate any income in the near future.  An economic decline in which the Governor picks who wins and who loses through taxpayer funded corporate welfare cash given to businesses who donate to his ruling party.
The list is endless in the chronic economic lie that the Connecticut Democrat Party and Dan Malloy have force fed taxpayers for years now.  More and higher taxes continue to bring Connecticut to its economic knees. 
And many of these same Democrats are running for re-election in November for their golden House and Senate seats.  Why?  To further Connecticut's economic decline?  To pad their pensions and benefits?
Think about the continuing economic decline of our state when you vote in November.  If you still live here.  It is time to take back Connecticut.

Dan Malloy’s Governing Delusions


Dan Malloy as Governor of Connecticut has done an excellent job of grinding Connecticut into the ground since he has taken office in 2011.  It has been a long six years with his debacle of his second term not ending until 2018.  And it seems to most taxpayers in the state that if anything goes wrong it is easy to blame the Republicans for it.
It is too bad that Dan Malloy does not believe in either telling the truth nor accepting responsibility for the mess he has turned Connecticut into.  He accepts no responsibility for higher taxes, business and taxpayers moving out of state in droves nor his reelection campaign lies that there were no deficits in the state budget.
This is the record that the Connecticut Democrat Party is running on to continue their unyielding grip and control on the state House and Senate.  How does this party have any credibility with the taxpayers and voters of Connecticut is beyond me.  And it is also beyond many of the voters of Connecticut.  And many of the voters in Connecticut will be for in some cases for the first time in their lives voting Republican to stop the hemorrhaging of their state.
It is time to take back Connecticut from omnipotent one party rule in November.  It is time to force Dan Malloy and his Democrat party into economic reality once and for all.
